γ the eldest of six siblings from a
large farming family, it is in
delrae's nature to care for others.
whether to wild beasts or wanderers,
her first and often only impulse
is to help or provide comfort in
whatever way she is able, no
matter how small. she detests
violence in all forms, preferring
to reach solutions through words
and not weapons.she strongly
believes that most of the problems
different groups of people
-whether they be wastelanders or
conclave- have with each other is
a lack of understanding, and if they
all made more of an effort to see each
other's way of life as something sacred
and worthy of being protected, they
could avoid bloodshed.γ

BORN TO A brahmin farming clan that frequently did business with the settlement, delrae knew nothing for the first two decades of her life but an existence tethered to her crops and her cows. amalia and josiah were protective parents at best, obsessively insular at worst and never let their children wander far from the homestead. the stories she was told of the wide open wastes as a child tickled and terrified her: if she was bad, a sharpclaw would snatch her from her bed, or a horde of ghouls would overtake her or a shrieker would lure her past the safety of their pastures and she'd never be heard from again. to her, all these and more were just stories and they could not harm her. life taught her simple lessons: if she was good to people, they'd be good to her and that life, when it bloomed, had to be protected. it was this core belief that led her to use her powers to paralyze the conclave soldiers that attacked her family instead of taking revenge.
she doesn't know if she made the right decision.
the guilt eats her.
