Leif Lokison / Leikny Lokidottir is
the child of Verity Willis and Ikol / Loki Laufeyson.
He is ironically both a human lie detector and a
liar himself. He has no idea what his sexuality is,
but he's not above flirting to get what he wants.
Genderfluid ★ 16 ★ 5'6" ★ FC: David Mazouz xxxxLeif takes strongly after both his parents, in strangely complimentary ways. Leif is aware
of the importance of appearances, despite what people say, from both his parents. He loves
working out details and manipulating them. He does very well in science and maths, due to
using his lie detection and reading out loud to be able to pick up mistakes in whatever he's
doing (he also does very well in English literature, being a highly talented liar, with no real
effort). In fact, he tends to do very well in all his subjects due to his powers. Of course, he's
never told a teacher about them.
xxxxLeif is incredibly manipulative when he wants to be, proudly taking after his father, with
numerous talents fitting into this. He has some ability with a throwing knife, having wanted
to learn after watching his father, but he's not done a huge amount of work on this yet.
xxxxLeif prefers switching pronouns with how he's feeling gender-wise, but he tends to use
he/him/his by default, as he finds this a bit easier. He doesn't tend to get annoyed at people
getting it wrong - especially as he often bluffs about it himself if he thinks he can benefit at
all - he'll just calmly correct whoever's wrong. Alongside pronoun, he'll switch to a more
feminine version of his name. He's quite aware of how confusing this can be for other people,
which is a large part of why he is legitimately very calm about misgendering. He'll also call
himself Jo Willis, which is his actual birth name quite often as a pseudonym of sorts.
Seeing himself in the mirror in the wrong form gender-wise triggers his lie detection.
xxxxDue to his father, Leif detests magpies. He's also well aware of the need to be careful
around ravens due to Odin. Leif is very interested in both science and magic, and as such,
wants to research how they can applied together when he's an adult. Leif hates fiction, as his
lie detection means he can rarely manage more than about ten minutes of most films or TV, or
more than a few pages of most books at a time.
Powers: Leif inherited a full version of
his mothers powers, and diluted versions
of his father's. Leif has the ability to
detect untruths, including his own. A small
quantity at a time creates a mildly tingly
sensation somewhere on him, but if a large
number are told close together, it starts to
cause him genuine pain. He doesn't feel
bad lying at all, although he prefers to
utilise very careful wordings, especially if
there are other habitual liars about.
xxxxFrom his father, Leif is a shapeshifter
- although only capable of shifting into
forms that he already perceives as

matching him, such as a black cat, or a fox. An interesting thing to note, as Leif is gender-
fluid, is that he can only shift into a fully physically feminine form when feeling feminine to
some degree, but he has no obligation to do this. He is capable of manipulating small things
about his appearance freely, but can't do anything that would stop his form matching him.
xxxxLeif inherited the talent of the all-tongue; an Asgardian way of communicating that
allows its user to be understood and to understand any language they encounter. He needs to
concentrate to turn it on, but he can maintain it without too much difficulty. Leif is also
capable of magic. His magic has a lot of constraints that only he seems to know, but the most
important is that he has to give an outward signal of some sort for his magic to start, and he
has to have some sign of what he wants his magic to do for it to work; Leif learned Icelandic,
deliberately selecting a very rare language so few people can predict his spells. There can be
as big a time delay between these as he wants, as long as he has both. Leif is pretty skilled at
illusions, and will often use them to slightly touch up a shape-shift, and almost always uses
them to cover up how cold his skin naturally is.
xxxxLeif is immune to cold, in exchange for being incredibly sensitive to heat, having to layer
up in summer to keep the heat out. Leif has very mild cold and ice manipulation powers,
but he can't actually manage much with it at all. He has mild increases in basic physical
attributes from his father, but certainly nothing significant for a Powered individual.

xxxxHis parents had continued to meet since they first met, and, of course, one day, one
thing lead to another, and Verity became pregnant. When he was born, the half-Jotunn
had an incredibly low body temperature, but started wailing furiously when placed to be
warmed. It took a while for Verity to persuade the doctors to take him out.
xxxxVerity noticed her son's genderfluidity at a very young age - noticing how his body was
lying to her on some days and not others. And because Verity could see that he was being
truthful whenever he spoke about his gender identity, she was very supportive - not that
she wouldn't have been, anyway.
xxxxLeif was always able to detect lies, but his powers truly started emerging well into
schooling. At his parents next meeting, several months later, Verity told Ikol about Leif's
abilities. Ikol never grew close to Leif in a parental way, but was present often enough
that Leif at least feels he knew him. Ikol taught him a great deal about the Asgardians
and of his powers, but Leif worked out probably as much on his own at least. And of
course, during this time, he decided that he'd embrace his heritage if there was ever need
for him to be open about his abilities.
xxxxVerity was surprised to be asked about sending her child to SHIELD's training program,
and both her and Leif are sure that he's as much being asked so that he won't become a
threat later, as to be used to tell if anyone is about to betray the group, and not at all for
him actually being a hero.
