───────────────────────────────────BIO: august grew up in a standard nuclear household in northern mic
higan. his older brother worked as a heart surgeon in the heart of de
troit while his younger sister was a piano virtuoso, so to say expectat
ions for august were high in his adolescent life would be a huge under
statement. luckily for him, august had always been academically gift
ed, and with disciplined study habits was able to maintain high marks
throughout his schooling career. he set his sights high, applying for st
anford university in order to pursue his passion; theoretical physics. t
o boost his resume, august joined his high school's swim team, howev
er he did not expect to find such joy in the sport, and even now swim
ming is the only thing that he seems to find solace in. with both his h
igh sat scores and his rank as captain of the swim team, august had g
otten into his dream university and moved across the country to purs
ue his goals. however, his cut and dry life would be flipped upside do
wn only a few years later when his supernatural abilities awakened w
ithin him. the urge to relocate to banff, alberta was so maddening th
at augustus was forced to drop out of stanford and move out to cana
da. he also needed to know the truth of why he was cursed with such
powers. cutting off his dreams was a gutwrenching experience for aug
ustus, and is largely the reason why he's so cynical today. he hopes to
uncover the truth of the renegade's powers and to keep all of them al
ive despite the coven and mesiac's power struggle.
POWERS: augustus' non-supernatural powers include his intuition an
d ability to formulate a plan with little to no time. of course, if it's
necessary for an elaborate plan to be put into place, he needs a bit
more time. athletically, august is built lithe and is somewhat skinny
for your average man, which makes him a rather quick swimmer. his
strongest supernatural ability is his weather manipulation. it is easie
st for him to conjure up short rain showers or to clear up the weathe
r, however thunderstorms or snowstorms require much more of his e
nergy. in theory, he could also conjure up blizzards or tornadoes, bu
t the effect on his body would be irreparable due to the massive am
ounts of energy required to do so. august also doesn't have full cont
rol over this ability, and it's very emotionally driven, meaning that th
e more upset august is the more effective his ability is. the physical
repercussions for using his ability are very minimal at the base level,
however consistent or strong usages of it can lead to migraines, nose
bleeds, and eventually an aneurysm if he continues to use it. his min
imal abilities would be illusion and water breathing. water breathing
may seem useless, but its very useful seeing that august is a good sw
immer, and not needing to come up for air means that he can swim f
or hours with ease. this ability has no physical repercussions since it
uses almost no energy. his illusion ability is also quite minimal, he ca
n conjure up small distractions, such as spiders or dots in a person's v
ision, however it doesn't last long and also gives him headaches since
he doesn't have great control over that ability either.
