she was raised to be polite and respectful, but also very cautious and quiet. when she turned five, ava was kept hidden to keep her safe from the police patrolling her neighborhood. if she had been spotted, she would have been taken away. it was a hard thing for a child to do, but at least she was safe. unfortunately, her house block was destroyed in a sudden fire one night when she was ten, killing her father and neighbors. ava was soon found out after being taken to the hospital for treatment, but fled with her mother when the doctors tried to keep them locked in a room. they went on the run for two years before getting cornered by the police. her mother was killed trying to fight them off, giving ava an opening to flee.

it was hard to overcome the death of her mother just as it was when her father died. she was only twelve when she was left to fend for herself on the street. it was easy to hide in the underground catacombs, but finding food was tough. she hadn't been taught to use her powers like those who are forced into the conditioning schools so she had to learn through trial and error. it took her over a year to master her mimicry power, using the crowded streets of the city and overloaded transportation vessels like buses and the subway to her advantage. it was tricky to find someone with a useful power, most were idle things like strength or speed, nothing she can really use like teleportation or invisibility. for nearly six years, ava survived on her own, finding a friend at the age of eighteen to rely on. she stayed with them for two years before hearing of the rebellion and deciding to join. her friend wasn't interested and left her in favor of traveling.

after making it through the recruiting process, ava became a mentor for the rebels, her mimicry power

she's able to see glimpses into the future about possible events such as an attack or less important things like an upcoming storm that will pass them. the visions are random and uncontrollable, she can't tell when they will happen or if they are what is set to happen or what may be changeable. they are also extremely painful and leaves ava completely defenseless. it causes intense headaches, sensitivity to lights and sounds, nausea, and sometimes makes her cry blood from burst blood vessels in her eyes. it's pretty obvious on the outside when she gets a vision, her eyes cloud over with iridescent colors and she usually drops like a sack of rocks if she's standing. it's a powerful ability, but also one that greatly hurts her when in use.

with just a touch, she's able to copy someone else's power, but it only lasts a few hours before disappearing. she needs to be touching someone for a few seconds to copy their power which is quite easy for her since she's almost always giving hugs and friendly snuggles. luckily, she doesn't take the power from the person, only copying it. she also can control if she copies a power so she can hug without accidentally copying someone's power. ava only copies a power she is given permission to use, like other medics' healing abilities or someone's neat power she wants to try for herself. only in an emergency does she not ask for permission first, she's very keen on manners and being respectful to her comrades.

also called 'nature manipulation'. aza is connected directly to the natural world and thus can communicate, influence, manipulate and control nature, such as plants, animals, and the earth. she can also survive in any natural environment on earth.

she can control animals and plants, helping her find food and safe places to stay as a loner. because she can communicate with nature, she becomes instantly familiar with her surroundings. the connection is so deep that the earth can respond to her emotions and desires (blossoming with flowers when happy, jittery animals when scared, etc). she can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature, and considering the fact that they're helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards her.

aza has access to every living species of animal on earth and can also draw strength from them, but taking energy from an animal or plant will always result in the death of the animal or plant which in turn hurts aza since she would be connected to them when they died and she can feel it. she uses her powers mostly to know where she is, how to hide from dangers, and also find food. healing is also second nature to her [no pun intended], especially when it comes to animals and plants. she will stop whatever it is she is doing, no matter what it is, to heal an injured animal or hurt plant such as a squished flower or broken branch.

she can 'communicate' with animals, but it's mostly getting images from their minds and a sense of their emotions. such as if she's trying to talk to her snake, she won't get actual chatter, but flashes of emotions and images that the snake may feel/see. aza can also do the same with plants, though it's a lot harder to figure out what they are trying to convey to her. the trees and wind tend to whisper to her, but it's often horrible riddles or just incomprehensible jabber she can't figure out. going to a forest is hell since all the animals and plants try to 'talk' at the same time and it gives her bad headaches.

appearance;

standing at 6'3" and weighing around 210lbs, mika is quite intimidating in appearance. he's build like a brick house with chiseled muscles all over due to constant training and exercising to keep strong. he has long, shaggy dark brown hair that's always unkept and almost never trimmed. his eyes are a bright blue, but not often seen due to wearing dark goggles to protect his sensitive vision when outside and sometimes inside. his body is riddled with scars from past battles and life under the microscope, being poked and prodded at his birth lab. mika is almost always in the same attire, combat ready cargo pants, leather jacket, and boots. sometimes he'll wear a tank top while training, but that's really the only change. he's always ready for a fight, weapons are kept all over his body in hidden pockets and folds. the attire is actually more of a confinement then just clothes. his jacket is similar to that of a straight jacket to assert control over him and he's often wearing a mask that covers his nose and mouth which is more of a muzzle than anything else. the mask is worn during missions, though he will often wear it after a bout of reconditioning to make sure he's stable.

power mimicry [limited/broken]

with just a touch, he's able to copy someone else's power, but it only lasts a few hours [4 max] before disappearing. sometimes it only lasts 5 minutes while other times it can last the full 4 hours. the dna splicing has left the power rather broken. he needs to be physically touching someone skin-to-skin for a few seconds to copy their power which is quite easy for him since he's able to easily overpower most people long enough to copy their power. luckily for others, he doesn't take the power from the person, only copying it. he also can control if he copies a power so he can touch, or be touched, without accidentally copying someone's power, such as when training/sparring. since he can choose which power to copy, mika can sense what powers a person has when he's touching them. mika also has no training when it comes to most powers, he needs to be trained in order to use a power properly. which means he doesn't automatically know how to use a power after copying it. he does get an idea of what to do via the instinct that comes with it, but it's more of an urge or itch such as an itchy mind when he copies telekinesis or telepathy or a tingle in his hands that corresponds to an elemental power he copies [hot tingle for fire, chill for ice, sweaty for water, etc].

ailuranthropy [were-cat/tiger]

not much is known about 'ailuranthropy', even the word leaves people confused, but 'werecat' is often used instead. ailuranthropy is basically a feline version of lycanthropy where mika is able to shift into a feline form instead of a wolf. it takes a lot of energy to shift into his tiger form so it's often not used unless absolutely necessary. his usual go-to form is his primal or partial form where his features turn more feline, gains stripes all over his body, claws on his hands, sharper reflexes and senses, and increased strength. his normal 'human' form is actually not totally human. in this 'human' form, his canine teeth are slightly longer and sharper than normal, his reflexes and sense are better than a normal person, and he's just physically better over all. mentally he is different as well, his instincts are more primal than normal with urges to protect a territory [which is the headquarters], fight off challengers to his authority, and just be the strongest. he's basically a tiger in human skin.

personality;

due to his mind controlled state, mika is very obedient to his superiors and very loyal to the government. he doesn't speak much, if at all, only really speaking when spoken to or asked questions. due to his silence, mika is often in the background observing, overlooked by others. though he doesn't try to sneak around, he usually just appears when people aren't paying attention and get spooked by it. his silence and obedience is key to his use as a weapon, but so is his aggression and determination to finish a mission no matter what. mika can be very aggressive and hostile if pushed past his limits, something that doesn't really happen often, but has before and didn't end well. if pushed too far, he will not hesitate to lash out to put someone back into their place. combat is second nature to him and can switch from calm and composed to lethal assassin in less than a heartbeat.

history;

unlike just about everyone else in the world, mika wasn't born in a hospital to loving parents, or parents in general. he was created in a lab like some kind of freak of science, one of the first ever inhumans and first ever inhuman created in a lab. there was no love, no joy, in his creation, only a feeling of success when he started to grow. life in the lab was as one would assume. hellish and terrible. it was no place for a child, especially one being raised there. from the start, mika was brainwashed and conditioned to obey orders regardless of what they are. he was 'raised' to be obedient, silent, and to observe and report. as a teenager, he was given electro-shock therapy to implement trigger words that basically factory-resets him to his base conditioning. the triggers are only used when he's suspected of breaking conditioning or close to it and before missions to make sure he will behave properly when out in the field.

his first ever mission was to infiltrate a rising rebel group that wanted to stop the government's control over the people back when the conditioning first started. he was to take what information he can and destroy the rest, killing the the rebels as well so they don't spread. mika was ruthless in his completion of the mission, doing whatever it took to finish it to his creators' expectations. he went on to train more and go on more missions before being placed into cryo-sleep. for many years, he's been asleep and kept secret from everyone. only a few government officials know of him. after rumors of a rebellion started to circulate, the lab started to prepare to wake mika. once the rebellion actually appeared and was shown to be a threat, mika was finally awakened to deal with it. soon after waking, he was once again reconditioned and his triggers set. after talk of the rebel leader having such a strong power, the scientists focused on making their weapon just as strong. they were able to acquire dna samples from a rebel traitor and spliced it enough to transfer the leader's mimicry power to mika. the transfer was indeed a success, but it wasn't a total success. mika's power is limited and rather broken compared to milo's natural power. though the power isn't as limitless as milo's, it was still extremely useful in the battle against the rebellion.

though she is quite the manipulative princess-type, rory is actually very loyal to her family. she will do anything to protect her family even if it means killing or using herself as a tool. her desire for power is rather strong, leading her to become manipulative and cunning in order to get to the top. she was raised knowing she will likely be married off for political gain and has accepted it, though now it's more her own idea to go through with it. marrying for power is one of the many tools in her arsenal and one she plans on doing more than once. when word got around that an unrest was spreading, rory knew her time was coming to jump up the ladder of politics. war is inevitable and she hopes to be on the winning side, so she has to choose her actions carefully.

history;

born to the lord of starfall and his allyrion wife, but the marriage was purely diplomatic and political. rory was born after a few years of marriage, but her mother didn't make it through the birth. sickness set in a few weeks after a very rough birth and it killed her mother. rory was raised by wet nurses and nannies for the first year of her life, her father coming and going. her father remarried shortly after her first birthday and the new woman helped raise rory. the woman was kind and loving even though rory wasn't her's by blood. when rory was about 3-years-old, olyvar was born. being the only child was great so rory wasn't totally happy with having to share attention with a baby, but grew to care for her half-brother over the years. as they grew older, rory became more and more keen on gaining power while olyvar was more adventurous. they may not be as close as they use to be, but they still spend time together when they can. when olyvar became the new 'sword of the morning', he gave up his place as heir to starfall, though as the eldest child rory is the next in line for the title. sadly, she won't be able to keep her title of 'lady of starfall' for very long since she is to be married off to a lord somewhere for political gain so starfall will go to olyvar anyway. rory is currently loyal to house martell since they are the ruling house of dorne, but can easily switch alliances should she get a better marriage offer.

cora is quite petite in stature, only standing at 5'6" and weighing around 135lbs. she has womanly curves, but they aren't as prominent as most women her age. she may be small, but she is still rather poised and proper in her gowns. at least when she wears them since she's often in trousers in order to ride her horses. her hair is a dark blonde with darker brown roots and hangs all the way down her back in soft waves. her skin is a soft cream even though she's often outside and her eyes are a dark blue that often don't appear blue at all in darker lighting. her attire often includes trousers since she rides horses very often and it's quite hard to ride properly in a gown. outside of her equestrian work, cora wears the customary dresses and gowns. she does enjoy wearing the trousers since they are quite comfortable, but prefers the femininity of gowns.

personality;

there's many sides to cora, but most people only see two of them: her political side and her family side. her family side is softer yet still strong and only appears when she's only with family, while her political side is often a mask of calm indifference, especially if chatting. she hates idle chatting, she has better things to do than stand around and talk about the weather. cora is also very stubborn, feisty, and can be downright cruel in her honesty. she doesn't sugar-coat her words and will say it like it is, most people don't like this, but she honestly doesn't care and will tell them such to their face. though she's fierce, she's also rather gentle and passionate when it comes to her loved ones. she will do anything for her family. her loyalty is hard earned, but extremely strong once someone has earned it. her heart is often guarded for protection, but her affections are well worth the battle. since her father is dying, she has to take on a lot more responsibilities and she's become stronger from it.

history;

cora was born during a horrible storm which is how she got her name, 'corentine' meaning 'tempest or hurricane'. her mother was from house velaryon, but was an outcast of her family so she was all but sent off to the freys just to be rid of her. her father had been married once before and hadn't been able to father any children before his first wife died. when cora was born, she was the first child born to the lord of the crossing, but not the last. her father was dead set on naming her his heir even after he gained sons from his third wife after her mother died from a fevered sickness. she was only ten when her mother died and a year later she had a new step-mother. it didn't take long for more children to be born from the third wife, but none of them were as close to their father as cora was. she was his little girl and his heir.

as she grew older, cora matured greatly and became strong in both mind and body. she learned all she needed to from her septa, such as lady-like crafts in sewing and embroidery, etiquette, and how to properly mingle among other nobles and honored guests of the castle. her father was very proud when she was able to learn fighting skills as well, but never showed it in public, always acting as if he disapproves when there's company. of course, her younger half-brothers were all very jealous about their bond, but were never able to change their father's mind. a few years ago when she was only 22-years-old, her lord father started growing more and more frail and sick. since then, cora has been the acting lady of the crossing, pushing aside her step-mother for the title since the older woman had no idea how to properly run the crossing. currently, her father is bed-bound and knocking on death's door, leaving cora to run things on her own now. she has come to terms with her father's approaching death, but will still grieve when the time comes. her younger brothers have come to terms with her being the heir and look to her for leadership now as well.

since she is from a noble family, eva is forced to appear poised and confident when in the public eye. she was raised to be a lady with class and dignity, but also to be submissive and quiet, always in the background ready to take orders and obey. underneath the mask her family forces her to wear, eva is rather shy and naturally quiet which made her 'see but don't be seen and obey' training so easy. it's hard for her to really open up to anyone or be anything other than quiet and obedient, but once she's comfortable with someone, she's more friendly and almost playful. though she may not know of the vokai's family secret, eva is rather curious of them due to her own family rumors about them. she doesn't believe any of them, but it does make her curious. ever since loosing her husband and child, eva has become withdrawn and rather shut off from the world, but she's being forced by her parents to present herself as a suitor since she's once again free to be married off for political gain.

history;

like every other woman born into a noble family, eva was raised mostly as a bartering chip. a pawn to be used in expanding the house's reach and riches. her childhood wasn't much of a childhood, it was more of constant schooling and training to be the most obedient housewife and doting mother she could possibly be. her mother, aunts, and female cousins, all pitched in to teach her all about what will be expected of her when she marries for the first time. eva was only 16 when she was betrothed to an older man by the name of james who was about 22 at the time. though they didn't officially marry until she was 18, eva already felt like she was married and dreaded every second of it. it was the biggest surprise when her new husband james turned out to be the kindest and most loving man she's ever known.

eva had been told horror stories about terrible husbands and all kinds of things, so she expected to be miserable for the rest of her life, but she ended up falling in love with her husband only a few months into the marriage. they were married for nearly ten years before her husband was killed by a robber wanting his solid gold wedding band, he refused and died because of it. eva was shattered by her husband's death, causing her 4th miscarriage which only added to the pain. her family didn't care for her grief, only wanting the power and influence she would gain via marriage to another house. with james dead and no children to keep his name, his house disappeared and with it the influence it brought to her family.

since she was now a widow and no longer married, her family pressured her into accepting the invitation to the volkai's estate as a suitor to their heirs. eva only agreed to be away from her hellish family so she can mourn in peace. she doesn't expect to be chosen as a wife to one of the heirs, she just hopes they are kind enough to let her stay around for a little bit.
