Nelaeryn Wysanan is the youngest and only living son of Maeral and Aelrie, the lord and lady of the once powerful and upper-class Wysanan family. In his youth, he was largely ignored by his parents in favor of his much older and stronger brothers. Due to largely being left to his own devices without any many friends, he slowly began to speak less and less with Ryn eventually only speaking only when he had to. When he was in his eighth year, his eldest brother and heir to his father Lathlaeril participated in the excursion, dying in the process. A few later, in his eleventh year, his second eldest brother and the new heir, Elran also particapted and died in the excursion. With him being the only remaining son left, his parents trained him aggressively, to the point where his body was always covered in bruises from it. Due to having been unaknowledged for most of his childhood, most others lost faith in his ability to take over the family name as well as survive the excursion when his alledgedly perfect older brothers had not. Nelaeryn has been repeatedly called an 'ice prince' due to his indiference and seemingly arrogant nature, though he is actually neither. In reality, he just keeps everything close to his chest, never revealing how he feels more than he has to, and is prickly due to the constant comparison of him to his brothers, despite the fact that he is just as intelligent and strong as they were if not slightly more. He's hesitant to get close to others and to seek help as he was taught this was a weakness. Ryn is easily flustered by unexpected affection, as his parents rarely had time or even interest to show him any as a child. Despite his supposed indifference, Nelaeryn is quick to step up to protect someone in danger and never hesitates to put himself in danger to make sure that someone else isn't.

Benjamin Drake was born as Wu Xiaokai in Shanghai to Wu Zhanqin and Song Feiyi. Most of his early childhood in unknown to him due to a car accident that claimed the lives of his parents and the three passengers in the other car leaving him as the only survivor. He was adopted by Lucius Drake, CEO of Drake Industries, and his wife Alice Drake-Beaumont, a fashion designer, along with their twelve-year-old son. It took a year for the adoption process to be finalized and for him to officially become Benjamin Drake. When he was eight years old, his adoptive mother had given birth to his little sister, which caused him a lot of stress out of worry that they would get rid of him as he wouldn't be their son by blood. Though his worries were quickly squashed as they treated him the same as they always had. Benji or as long he could remember has been obsessed with history, especially that of ancient weaponry when asked about it, it is hard for him to stop talking. Benjamin has always worn his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to shower the people he cares about with affection. Due to being predominantly raised in an upper-class family, he occasionally acts haughtily, though it is never meant maliciously. He isn't easily frustrated and it a lot to get him angry. Though he is usually easily forgiving and friendly, once you've gotten on his bad side it'll feel like you've been dropped in the Arctic. Born as Elias Suhwan Yoo as the only child of Madeline Yoo, a college student who was studying in New Zealand at the time of his birth, as soon as she was able to get a plane ticket back, she went back home and began to raise him with the assistance of his grandfather. However, his mother became extremely ill when he was six years old, dying within the same year. By the time he was 15, his grandfather could no longer work and he began to steal in order to help out. It was around that time that he became best friends with the leader of 'The Onyx Dragons' younger brother which led to him joining the gang as his friend's bodyguard. After a few years, the gang's leader died in an "accident" and his friend became the new leader and him his right hand. When he was 23, his grandfather passed away and on his deathbed, he begged him to leave the gang and go to college after his death. This was easier said than done, but having saved up quite a bit of money, he was able to change his name to Nikolas Choi, though he kept his middle name out of respect to his mother and grandfather. For the first time in a long time, everything was going great, Niko was excelling in college and a good part-time job but like most of his life, it didn't last. His former best friend found him and tried to talk him into coming back to the gang, upon his refusal they got into a brief fistfight and left it at that, or so he thought. A few days later he was leaving one of his classes and was confronted by members of the gang, who accused him of killing the leader. Nikolas, confused and offended, denied it as the last time he had seen the man, he had been alive. The members then attacked him and despite him only defending himself, the dean had witnessed the fight as he was walking by and misunderstood the situation. Unable to explain who the men were and why there was a fight, Nik was kicked out of school. Nikolas places loyalty above all else and is a hopeless romantic at heart. Though appearing aloof at first glance, he is really like a teddy bear and often shows affection through his actions and hugs. Niko is extremely protective of those younger than him and often will put himself in harm's way to help others. Shiram is the exact opposite of who he was as a child, he's rarely without a smile on his face and has been called the human equivalent of a Golden Retriever puppy. Ram has always tried to see the best in everyone and is often treated like a doormat, he gives out too many chances to people who don't deserve it. He rarely gets angry and when he does he doesn't let it show, preferring to keep a bright smile on his face.
