as a child, erin was very shy and unsure of hi
mself. he had trouble making friends and wa
s always quiet at school, sticking to himself+
sitting under the slide at recess to doodle in
the sketchbook his mother got for him or rea
d warrior cats. as he got older and lonelier, i

st his own company. during middle school he
decided to sort of reinvent himself -- he'd be
everyone's friend, the life of the party, make
sure that everyone knew his name. it did not
take long for his popularity to increase and i
n time he became the guy he'd always wante
d to be, though it did and sometimes still do
es feel forced, like he's masquerading as a m
uch cooler version .of himself or living some
kind of elaborate lie. he seems- and arguabl
y is-- extremely confident and outgoing, but
that friendless little introvert still lives insid

ves him so exhausted and overwhelmed that
he doesn't want to get out of bed. the kid w
ho skates down hallways and throws massive
parties and jumps into swimming pools from
roofs is the same kid who trudges around his
dorm in sweatpants with wild hair, who curls
up with a blanket just to watch netflix all da
