Location

❀ BluebellClan is located in a grassy crater surrounded by a thick hardwood forest. The crater's edge provides a good "high ground" for the warriors to keep a lookout and the surrounding forest supplies cover.
❀ A small, shallow pond occupies the center of the crater. The pond is the clan's source of water as well as an occasional catfish. The dens are all placed on the inside perimeter of the crater, so that they do not flood in the rainy season.
❀ BluebellClan is named after the bluebells that grow around the edge of the crater and down the outer sides. No bluebells grow inside the crater or in any other explored part of the forest.

Leader

❀ Honeystar was Honeysuckle before she decided to venture out to start her own clan. She traveled far from her home clan before she found the crater. She is a stubborn cat in a "I'm going to get what I want and I'm going to keep fighting" kind of way. She can be laid back, but she is pretty alert to what is going on around her even if she doesn't seem to be.
She dreams of Starpelt every night and spends her days chasing rabbits and helping the queens or the medicine cat. She is a very unconventional leader, but once she gets to gatherings she is all business.

Camp

❀ The fresh-kill pile is located by the small pond in the center of the crater. it is moved out by the elder’s den during the rainy season.
❀ The leader’s den is located at the north of camp under a tangle of roots. The kits sometimes decorate the entrance of the den with bluebells.
❀ The deputy's den is located exactly to the right of the leader's den. It is made from the same root structure as the leader's. A rather large root cluster separates the two dens.
❀ The warriors’ den is located to the right of the deputy's’s den under a bunch of long branches that are leaned up against the walls of the crater. One side of the den is blocked by a large rock and the entrance is covered by hanging willow branches.
❀ The apprentices’ den is located close to the warriors’ den and is built pretty much the same.
❀ The nursery is located to the left of the leader’s den in a bramble thicket. The thorns on the inside are covered with a mix of mud and moss so the kits don’t hurt themselves.
❀ The elders’ den is located beside the kit’s den and is also a bramble thicket. The floor is covered in a mix of moss and feathers, though for extra comfort.
❀ The medicine cat’s den is located to the south in a hollowed out tree trunk. Willow branches and other pretty vines cover the entrance and a hole in the top allows light to enter. The plants and herbs are stored on a stair-stepped rock in the back corner of the den.

Forest
❀ The forest consists of pine, oak, hickory, maple, and elm trees. The understory consists mainly of dogwoods, sweetgums, honeysuckle, and purslane along with many other native plant species.

❀ There is an old twoleg house to the south near the Thunderpath that has been completely taken over by what the cats call the Beautiful Death. Twolegs refer to it as kudzu and it eats the south faster than anyone can get rid of it. It is slowly spreading from the house and devours anything in its path. The kits spread rumors about how it can devour a sleeping cat. Eventually, the clan will have to deal with it, but that is for a leader many generations from now to deal with.[/list]

Cats
❀ BluebellClan cats are known for their reclusiveness. Usually, the other clans don’t see them until gatherings. They are peaceful and prefer to talk out issues before resorting to a battle. Even then, they prefer to defend from their own territory instead of looking for a battle. The south edge of their territory is bordered by a Thunder Path and a place both the cats and the twolegs call Fox Hollow. It is rarely used so they do not have to worry about twolegs very often, but they tend to avoid it just because it is closer to twoleg territory, stray dogs, and foxes.

honeystar sits down beside the pond after laying moss out on the floor of her new den. she stares at her reflection rippling in the water as small fish nibble at the bugs on the surface. she is a leader now.
she looks around her new home and sighs. she is only halfway done getting it spruced up. she is going to the moonpool later to ask for a medicine cat. the clan needs a herb stockpile.
early this morning she had rolled a hollowed out log down the side of the crater to set up for the medicine cat she is hoping to receive.
it will do for now.

honeystar decides to go fishing a little while later since she has time before heading to the moonpool. she stares into the pond, getting down on her haunches and sitting as quietly as she can. finally, she spots a fish close to the edge of the water. she flicks her tail and pounces.

honeystar takes a deep breath as she stares in awe at the moonpool. she will never get used to this. she gently lays beside the pool and dips her nose in as she quickly drifts to sleep.
starpelt and the starclan cats greet her as she wakes. she dips her head in respect before looking to them hopefully.
“preparation of the camp is going well. i believe the crater will provide good protection, especially with the thick forest that surrounds it. i want to start stockpiling herbs for my future clan, though. i wish for a medicine cat. if you would grant me one, oh, starclan.”

honeystar smiles happily over at mothbloom. she is so glad to finally welcome a member of her clan. mothbloom is stacking up some rocks in the back of her den to store the herbs she brought with her.
It will be quiet around for a while so honeystar calls mothbloom over to her, "mothbloom, how about you relax for now? you will be plenty busy when more cats show up."
mothbloom pads over to honeystar, "you're right. I'll rest for now and we can go fishing later?"
honeystar nods and smiles at the younger cat, padding over to rest in the shade at the top of the crater's ridge.

honeystar yawns and looks around the camp, planning the places for the different dens to go. she looks up to the sky and squints her eyes against the sun. she figured they had enough rest.
she stands and stretches before spotting mothbloom at the edge of the pond. she pads over to her new medicine cat and plops down beside her.
"what are you thinking about?" honeystar asks.
"my family and how lucky i am that starclan chose me for this," mothbloom replied as she flicked her tail at a fly.
the only thing honeystar knew about mothbloom was that she had come from far away, much like honeystar had, "do you miss them?"
"sometimes, but i know this is what starclan wants for me. this is what i want for myself. it's hard being called out of your clan. most cats get to stay with their families, but we have to leave them, maybe forever," mothbloom meowed softly.
"i understand," honeystar butted her shoulder against mothbloom's, "we'll get through this together," honeystar paused and looked out across the pond, "how about that fishing now?"

later that day, honeystar decided to do a quick border patrol before the day was over. she fretted about leaving mothbloom alone, but mothbloom had assured her she would be alright. she had said that she might even go hunting for herbs, but she wouldn't go far. honeystar began walking towards the borders, hoping that there wasn't anything actually wrong with them.

mothbloom waited a little after honeystar left to start out on her herb hunt. she promised honeystar that she wouldn't go too far, so she decided to keep the bluebell-filled walls of the crater within sight. she was surprised at the number of herbs that were in the forest. the climate is close to her home clan's so she was able to identify almost all the ones she came across. she could only carry two though, so she chose the two she thought would be most useful and headed back to camp.

A moon ago, Smokecloud had shown up on Honeystar's border patrol. He didn't say a word as she stumbled upon him and still didn't say a word as he followed her back to the camp. She asked him if he was a warrior and he nodded, so she led him to the warrior den. Now, he pats moss into the floor of the warrior den. The only word he has said since he arrived was his name as he pointed to himself. Whatever reason he has for staying quiet, he belongs to the clan now so he will be protected.

Honeystar motions Smokecloud over later that morning.
"You up for some hunting?"
Smokecloud nods.
"After we get back, I'm going to moonpool. Can you handle a border patrol?"
Smokecloud nods again and smiles. They head off into the forest.

Mothbloom stays behind while Honeystar and Smokecloud go hunting. She gathers some bluebells from the rim of the crater to decorate the entrance of her den. Afterwards, she heads out to collect some herbs.

Once Honeystar and Smokecloud return from hunting and they put the kills in the freshkill pile, Honeystar checks to make sure Smokecloud heads off to his patrol okay before making her way to the moonpool. She wants to ask StarClan for a deputy to help her lead her new clan.
