Arrowthroat was my role model. He had a stutter through his kithood, but with his mentor Claypool's help he got over it fine - and in the process, he's become a great storyteller. I might not be as good as he is at storytelling, but I didn't just go looking for Leafstar the night before my assessment and ask to have my name be Fernthroat for nothing. I plan to assist Arrowthroat in his endeavors to the best of my ability.

H A I L C L O U D

As ElmClan's leader, I did my best to guide my Clanmates through everything that happened. But it didn't work, and I had to disband the Clan myself. It was not an easy thing to do, and it was also not easy to see my Clanmates going their separate ways. But now, in SeaClan, I feel as if StarClan has given me a second chance. I have my beloved mate, my beautiful kits, and a new Clan to call home. I owe it to Leafstar and Carrotfur to do my best.

My family used to call the Great Waters the 'sea'. I always wondered why, but I know now. I was visited in dreams by cats with stars in their pelts, urging me to find the Clan by fhe Sea. I arrived at SeaClan's territory, met the cats who lived there, and learned they call the Great Waters the 'sea' like my family and I had done for many moons. I now wonder if one of my ancestors had been a SeaClan cat.

I find gender identity difficult. I was born as a she-cat, but I don't feel like a she-cat. Nor do I feel like a tom either. That's why I came up with nonbinary. My family - mum and dad, and five littermates - they used to make fun of me, saying there's no such thing as nonbinary, but I endured... til I got old enough to know how to hunt. Then I took my leave. The world was harsh, but at least SeaClan found me.
