A'Mari was born a half-breed, his father possessing the mutation of flight by wings, and his mother being pure human. They existed in silence, fearful that any blatant evidence of his father’s mutant existence would bring forth the injustices that came with being a mutant. His father raised A'Mari in their home while his mother worked as a government mutant weapons development engineer, allotting time for his father's anger and frustrations to reach their peak. A'Mari, around age 9, would lose his father to a radical decision to join the rebellion cause; he left without saying why, but with how often A'Mari's mother cursed the rebellion, the boy could only assume they were the reason why his world was beginning to crumble.

Going forward 4 years later, A'Mari was once again blindsided by the loss of a parent; his mother was murdered in a surprise bombing of the weapons development facility. Orphaned, A'Mari was gathered into government custody to be cared for and assessed. His newfound orphan status and recessive flight mutation gene caused A'Mari to gain the interest of government scientists as a prime subject; they put him through multiple trials to test his physical, mental and genetic abilities to decide his eligibility to join the mutation weapons experiment.

Experimentation began with artificial wing binding, an effort that proved to have slim chances of success. Months of trial and error, mutilating A'Mari to try and connect the muscles and nerves necessary to bind the artificial wings, only left him with irreparable scarring down his shoulder blades and back. The failed efforts with an artificial source led the scientists to believe that an organic wing source might be more effective. With Pathenon capturing rebels, they would have a decent flow of wing donations to test the theory on. A new hypothesis began a new cycle of wing binding for A'Mari; the organic wing tests saw a more positive outcome than their artificial counterparts. Yet for all the efforts given, A'Mari’s body rejected the new wings again and again; however, progress was still enough to encourage the experimentation to continue. Eventually, as though fate had a sense of humor for the cruel, A'Mari’s father was captured, later tested and confirmed for genetic connection to the child; his wings were donated to experimentation and bestowed upon A'Mari. Eventually, with the combination of those organic wings, induced pluripotent stem cells, and steroids, A'Mari was bound to his new wings.

Heavy with the new weight that the wings brought with him, A'Mari was given to the Pantheon Project to train and become the weapon they created him to be. Knowing his goal was to fight and kill rebels, A'Mari used the abandonment of his father, and loss of his mother, to fuel his desire and excel in their training, Through those training trials, A'Mari gains an almost cultish dedication and respect for the government he will one day come to serve in combat.

need for justice blinds him to alternative possibilities which causes his
expectations to often be unrealistic. his determination is as unrelenting as
his loyalty to those he can rely on. pressure heavy situations are often ones
that cause him to act on his impulsive nature, his default response of fear of
failing causing him to act before thinking. irrational is not something a'mari
would consider himself to be, but his actions often speak otherwise in the
correct setting. though his views are often black and white, a'mari can easily
be persuaded to alter that view if it comes from someone he is devoted to.
his devotion offers unrelenting trust, and it is hard for even him to convince
himself otherwise with outstanding facts against that trust. losing what was
most important to him at a young age has evolved into amari's aggressive need
to have objects in his possession. it is uncommon someone would find him
without a new handheld trinket being fiddled with. months of experimentation
left a'mari with irreversible scarring down his back, a subject that brings an
uncomfortable air as he feels he is not as worthy as those born with a
mutation. he was given the right to be here, and is determined to prove
himself even more so, encouraging a'mari to make quick decisions whenever
opportunity arises. this contributes towards his high-energy nature, keeping
positive outlook for his future and being ready at all times to tackle the next
issue or assignment. even with his positivity, a'mari is susceptible to the
unexpected and negative outcomes in life, handling those situations poorly
in his head. they itch and burn into memory and stay there so he can stress
over it. his stress is often accompanied by silence and seclusion, though
training has conditioned him to keep those responses to a minimum in
situations where it would be a burden. he fights with it still, but is certain
his faults will never be his undoing as part of pantheon. A'Mari is often exci
ted, unconcerned with keeping himself composed, his wings fluttering with
the feeling. His child-like enthusiasm sometimes becomes irritating as it is
unrelenting. If confronted about his overwhelming actions, A'Mari can resort
to juvenile tactics to display his displeasure, and will try to influence those
