History ⋮ Alicia grew up as one child of seven. Her parents
struggled due to the number, and Alicia, being the eldest, was
often overlooked and expected to help with her siblings as a
'second mum'. When she was 14, sick and tired of that life, she
made her own way out into the world, and lived without a home
for almost a year, before joining a community house and trying
to get her life back on line- and back into music.
She cut all ties to her family, and never plans on returning.

Personality ⋮ Alicia is the personification of moody teenager. She is sarcastic, brutally honest, and just doesn't
take any crap from anyone. She's a fighter for sure, and does not make friends easily. She is often in trouble for
her attitude, and she feels like she owes the world nothing- it threw her a bad hand, so what does she owe it?
Alicia is very absorbed in her music, and often prefers mixing and recording and listening to it more than she does
mingling with other students or just any people at all. She's never had a particular interest in dogs, but figures
this is a good excuse to try something new... and get her out of her regular, boring classes!

She has been in a few relationships before, a couple with guys and one with a girl- an experiment of sorts, but
decided after the latter that she is in fact, hetero. She would love to make a connection with a guy, but doesn't
seem to worried about the fact that guys are almost scared to approach her!

Personality
An even tempered and level headed leader, Jolie seems to know what is going on long before others in her tribe or the other, and while
this could be just luck, its the Queen using her tribe members to the best of their ability. She emphasises each Sunset animal to use
their array of weapons and defenses as best and as carefully as they can, for the benefit of themselves AND the tribe.
When she needs to, she can be completely ruthless, and has little patience for fools.While she isn't completely solitary, Jolie spends a
lot of time on her own, and seems to prefer it that way. She tries not to get her paws dirty in any messy business, and is more
likely to get her second-in-command to do the hard work. In this way, she seems rather entitled to the other animals, but deep down,
she just wants to be one of them- not a Queen.

History
Jolie was born to be the next Queen of the Sunset, after he mother before her. To start with, she wanted nothing to do with the
position, but after she lost her childhood friend to a flood, her heart hardened, and felt a new sense of duty to her
family and tribe. Growing up learning the skills she would need to personify the value of the Sunset, it was when she
turned three that her mother died, and it was her time to take the throne. She has ruled ever since.

Personality
Marion is the opposite of what people and animals expect owls
to be. She is feisty, sassy, and just generally sarcastic. She
can be extremely stubborn, and refuses to dance to anything
but the beat of her own drum. She is loyal to the tribe,
but if she feels the leaders or anyone of rank are being stupid,
she'll do her own thing, and what she thinks is best. She has
no issues 'telling it like it is', and no one is off limits.

History
She doesn't remember where she came from originally, but she
wasn't born on the island. All she can remember is living with a
nest of hawk hatchlings as a young owl, and learning to hunt
and grow as they did. She had no part in the tribes arguments,
but when the hawk family left, craving peace and safety, the
owl stayed, and her silent hunting skills and general
intelligence led her to join the Sunset- although she has the
passion of a Storm.

Personality
Prone to bite before he barks, Daemon is the
strong arm of the law in the Storm tribe. Not
the ruler, but just about as powerful as, he
is a cold, calculating, and strong machine of
a wolf, who takes no prisoners. He is all
business, and sees play and sleep to be a
waste of time during the day. He does not
like the sillier or carefree among the Storm,
but tolerates them at the command of his
Lord and Lady, to whom he is TOTALLY loyal.

History
Very little is known about Daemon's history.
The only thing he tells people who really
annoy him is that he 'ate' his brothers and
sisters, and was the sole survivor of his
litter. Those who get a glimpse of the wolf
underneath the harsh exterior (not many)
sense that this is not completely true,
but he's certainly not telling the full story.
He joined Storm tribe after getting into a
particularly nasty experience with a cat of
the Sunsets as a cub, and has never
forgiven or forgotten.

Her mother, Mikaya, was one of the best patrollers the Sacred Pack had ever seen. Tala was unexpected to everyone but her mother, having been courted by a rogue loner in secret.

A precocious and curious young pup, the little wolf couldn't help but be adventurous, often sticking her nose in where it didn't belong. While she couldn't join her mother on patrol, and she resented having to stay behind with the other cubs, she knew that one day, she too, would be able to explore the world around her.

She was a year old when she took her first proper patrol outing with the pack, and quickly learned as much as she could about the area the pack called home, and beyond. When her mother died, Tala quickly rose in the ranks, her talent and skill leading her to be chosen as Lead Patroller, a position she currently holds with pride.

Tala is still as adventurous as ever, and makes up for her lack of size with the stealth and speed she is able to demonstrate. She is on top of and learns about as much as she can, and, taught by her mother, she uses the animals and nature around her to help her do this to the best of her ability.

She is confident, and sometimes headstrong, and deep down, she wishes she was a higher rank. She knows she will never be able to rise on her own, so she flirts subtly with those she knows would be potential mates, sniffing around the Beta male for the most part. She has a particularly soft spot for Dracul though, and admires the fighters power and honor.

The fae has a charm that is appealing, and a lithe beauty, but she is more cunning than she first appears. A damsel in distress or a wolfess waiting to pounce?

A tiny bundle of golden fur, Miakoda was born under a full moon to her parents, Etu and
Miskah. Leaders of a pack a long way from the Sacred, the two wolves were quite
superstitious, and in their pack, a runt was unwanted- a weakness to the family.
Begrudgingly, so as to avoid trouble, the leaders allowed their smallest daughter to
live, an unknown omega.

When she was 11 months old, and able to fend for herself, the pack ran her out, telling her
to go, and never come back. Happily to do so, but scared, the young fae wandered aimlessly,
moving farther and farther away from lands she knew.

For a brief time, she made contact with a small group of other young nomads, and the mixed
group of one and two year olds. She bonded with one of the males, and after her first heat,
somehow she knew that she was carrying his pup. Miakoda was devastated however, when
her young mate was driven from the nomads and killed by a jealous brute, and she again had
to run from everything familiar.

Mia is a timid wolf in many ways, not expecting much out of her life to come, but still, she
finds hope in the life of her unborn pup, and carries on for him or her. She is a sweet young
fae, eager to please, and a little bit lost in the world. This sometimes leads her falling into
trust too quickly, and deeply, before being betrayed and hurt for it.

The young wolf just wants to find a home and family, somewhere safe she can raise her pup,
and give her son or daughter a better life than she ever had.

Description: Thema is a happy-go-lucky lioness, somewhat naive, but eager to learn.
She is the average size for her age, thought thinner in build, with big paws that look slightly our of proportion. She has bright amber eyes which are incredibly expressive.

Backstory: Thema was born to a 'nature reserve' that flew under the radar as a caring place for protected species, but was selling baby animals under the table to those who could pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sold as soon as she was born, she was allowed to wean from her mother before being torn away, sold to a father who brought the exotic cat for his spoilt daughter.

Growing while being treated as a house-pet, there were obvious issues. Big cats have never been house cats, and what the humans saw as a 'scratching post' was basically a toothpick to the lioness. The cute paws turned into big paws, and playful swats became not so playful to the girl. Thema always tried sneaking outside into the large garden, and the harness she was walked on just didn't seem to cut it anymore. After one incident too many, involving a million dollar piece of art, the lion was removed from the house, and put into a 'kennel run', the right size for a German Shepherd, but not a growing lion.

One of the gardeners reported the poor creature to authorities, and the lioness was seized, ending up here, at AWAR. It's time for Thema to learn to be a lion.

Description: Hadiya, although getting on in years, is still very much the graceful lioness she once was, just maybe with less litheness than she used to possess. She doesn't do as much as she would like to, not for want of trying, but she does what she can for the well-being of the pride. She has some scars that she has had for life, signs of her younger years.
She often hangs around by herself, on the edge of the main den site, or the (any) other elders, enjoying the sunny golden years of her life.

Backstory: Hadiya was a young, attractive, lioness, who was a talented hunter and a formidable fighter. She has always been loyal to the pride. She was loyal to all three kings she was with before Diablo, and has seen a lot of changes, takeovers, and lions and lionesses coming and going.

In her younger years, as a hunter and fighter, Hadiya was prone to wander off and explore the savannah, sometimes leaving for days, she always returned to take her place. She had a son to the second King who left the pride to join a gang of bachelors when Diablo took over. It was a long time ago, and she doesn't mourn him, knowing that life goes on, and living in the past, while sometimes useful, is of no help to anyone.

Other Information: She has a soft spot for the younger lions and lionesses, and still respects the other adult lions, and imparts what advice she can when they come and seek it. She is more than prepared to help any lion or lioness who approaches her.

Appearance/Extras Lacey is a beautiful dog, with a stunning colored coat. Blue merle with tan points, and bright blue eyes to accent the color, she is quite pleased with her appearance- she knows she is eye catching. She wears a collar that is the same shade of blue as her eyes, with no tag- it had come off a little while ago in the vicious kennels.

Personality A sweet and gentle dog, Lacey is quite unassuming. She isn't one to draw attention to herself, but when she does get it, she doesn't mind it or discourage it. She is good at talking to other dogs, and connecting with them on whatever level is required. She, however, does not do well in a confrontation, and she is more likely to avoid arguments than participate, running away to the pups. She is quite quick on her feet and agile, like most of her breed, and she often can be found in the most unexpected of places, sleeping or just relaxing. She has a soft spot for the puppies, as one of their carers and where she can, she likes telling them stories, or teaching them and helping them along. She wants nothing more than to have pups of her own one day.

Fears Lacey fears never finding a mate or having any sort of family. As mentioned, she always wanted puppies, and still does. She knows she is capable of finding a mate, but she sometimes wonders that maybe she would end up being alone because of all the dogs being misplaced and having to change their lives to live the stray life.

History Lacey was a happy family dog. She was raised by a reputable backyard breeder who specialized in Border Collies. She was the youngest of a large litter- a total of eight puppies. As such, she had a very playful and busy life growing up. Lots of playing and running and developing all the skills she would need later in life. When she was 6 months old, she was sold, and for the first time, didn't have any other dogs around. Luckily, she adjusted to life with humans quite well, and became a loyal, happy, smart playmate. The family had three children, all under the age of 12, and so Lacey was quite content to become the family pet. She had long walks with them, and when the children went to school, she was taken out for agility training to keep her (and her owners) busy during the day. She was quite good at the agility, and was just about to be entered into her first Championship when she was stolen from her owners. When the fire happened, she was one of the first to go.

Appearance/Extras Xander is a light fawn colour, with the usual black points on his muzzle, ears, around his eyes and at the tip of his tail. He has a short but surprisingly soft coat, that's very smooth and clean, with sharp lines in his conformation. He has a long scar down his side, old, and barely obvious, but very long.

Personality While quite a bit quieter than some of the other dogs wandering the streets, Xander is a calm and collected dog, who always seems to be in control of himself, his actions and his moods. He is naturally very caring and considerate, and he often goes out of his way to help other dogs, whether old, young, friends, or dogs he had never met. He seems to come alive when he is on a mission to help someone, and is quick and efficient, wasting as little time as possible to do what needs to be done.
When he is not helping others though, the big dog is often alone, wandering in the city or just simply sitting and thinking, and isn't much of a conversationalist- unless a dog decides to get to know him for who he is. He is more than open to making friends, but doesn't go out of his way to find any. It's a bit lonely, but it works for him. Maybe if he found a special lady...

Fears Xander fears that the humans will come back again, to lock him up, use him, or put him down for being a 'mongrel'.

History Xander was an unwanted product of the owner of a female purebred German Shepherd, who had gotten out with his neighbors Belgian Malinois. Figuring that the mother was wrecked, and couldn't be bred from again, the owner threw the dog and her two pups out, and the younger of the two died not long after. Xander loved his mother, and doted on her a lot as he learnt to grow up on the streets. She was quite weak after being turned out, and while he did his best, she only managed to live for a year and a half after they became strays. Xander was shattered, and he had lost the only dog who he cared for. It was from this that he decided to become a solitary dog from them on, and though it got him into many a fight over food or territory, the brute learnt to look after and defend himself, and was never caught by animal control. He is now in his element, and he isn't displeased.
