born to shadedsong and rownear, two previous warriors of dusk
clan, squirrelfoot was one out of three kits in her mother's sec
ond litter. her two siblings were a dark ginger tom named foxkit
and a ginger and white tabby she-kit named wrenkit. it was ofte
n difficult to tell squirrelkit and wrenkit apart since both young
mollies appeared almost identical. shadedsong had also birthed
a litter before squirrelfoot's, bearing two kits, both tom's, who
were the eldest siblings. foxkit and wrenkit both died during le
afbare when a deadly bought of greencough came over the clan.
one of squirrelfoot's elder siblings, redwhisker, was killed during
a clan battle.
