dawnflight hasn't always been a charming
and flirtatious she cat. She she was younger,
she had a sister, rosepaw. The two were exactly
alike, they were both quiet, yet very strong.
they were best friends. then, rosepaw fell from
a tree and had to go to starclan. dawnflight
tried to get over it, but the tragic event changed
her. she became closed off from everyone, but
soon grew to hiding the sadness with flirtatious
remarks and becoming tempermental, stubborn
and unforgiving. the death of rosepaw shook
dawnflight more than she let on, now she won't
go near trees and has an overwhelming fear of
death. she has resorted to living each day to
the fullest, which often ends in her getting into
trouble. but, dawnflight also become much stro-
nger, determined and ambitious. she strives to
do good things, even if she's always getting in
trouble, she truly is very loyal to her clan. also,
although she doesn't like to get too close to others,
she is very protective to loved ones and if she
does grow close to someone, she will become
quite possessive over them. Only because she
doesn't want to lose them.

There was those four, plain, cement walls. There was the sound of something dripping drip... drip... drip and then there were the times when Melanie could hear more than that, sometimes, when people came to close to the cement room, or to her, she could hear thier voices. When she had been told of her new abilities she had been excited, imagine being able to read other people's thoughts, how cool is that? Right? But, it turned out that her so called 'powers' weren't as amazing as she had first thought. They were a curse, not a blessing. The constant voices in her heads and the strange mutters that she would speak, at first she couldn't stop from saying what others thought, but now it became a habit. She now chose to whisper the thoughts, maybe because it filled the silence, maybe because she was truly mad, like everyone else seemed to think.

Melanie hated the cement room. In fact, she didn't call it a room, she called it a cell. Even though she was free from other's thoughts here, it just didn't feel right, it was too quiet. The cells were spaced apart by thick walls of cement and the other five were too far away for Melanie to hear thier thoughts. The cement cell was too small... And too quiet.

Melanie had found ways to fill the silence, though. Sometimes she would just talk to herself, but that got boring very quickly. Most of the time she would sing. She wasn't sure if she had liked to sing in her past life, and the only reason she knew there was life before this was because nightmares often haunted her sleeping hours, nightmares of life before. The before seemed like a scary time, but the now was just as scary, Melanie would much rather be in the before, though, because she didn't want to be here. She made that a known fact. Most knew that she had been driven mad by her time here, she knew, but she had forgotten what it was like before, so it didn't matter. Sometimes, the other five would hear her scream echo around in thier own cement cells, she screamed usually after a nightmare, sometimes just because she was done with all of it.

Thoughts like these occupied Melanie's mind when she was nervous, most of the time, and she was nervous right now. She woke up that morning, after a restless night, to see a paper on her wall, saying she was to be eliminated, and she sat now, for what seemed like hours, but had only been minutes, thinking about other things to distract herself. Nothing could distract her from what happened next. All of the sudden the blaring of an alarm went ringing and the door to her cement cell burst open. It crashed against the dull, grey wall, sending a shower of bits of cement that had been crushed from the force of the thick metal door hitting the wall.

Whoever had opened it was gone now. Melanie stared at the door in disbelief, her mouth hanging open. Her eyes were wide, then, with a slow blink, she jumped onto her feet. She only had socks on, she had decided that socks were more comfortable than the shoes they had given them, so she went everywhere with only socks on, deciding that they couldn't tell her that she couldn't wear socks.

Melanie stepped lightly towards the door and she peeked out, just in time to see two people, work open the last door of six. Her's had been opened first because she was Subject 001. Melanie curled her fingers around the metal door frame and stared, not sure what to do. Not sure if this was another one of thier tests, or if it was something else.

maisie woods. the girl of too big hoodies and extreme
clumsiness. she trips over everything, including nothing. she can
trip and almost fall, when there is nothing there. she also has an
aura of innocence around her, mix that with her quiet, gentle and
shy nature and you get a twenty one year old who seems much yo-
unger than she actually is. maisie is also very intelligent, getting
straight a's all throughout high school, and she is very compassionate,
she loves helping others. maisie can also become anxious very easily,
but even though she seems really quiet, she's not that way with her
friends. with friends, she loves cracking jokes and making other
people smile and laugh, as long as she stays within her comfort zone.

brackenpaw is a young tabby tom who was,
and still is, very spoiled. he always gets what
he wants and is usually coddled by his clan-
mates because they pity him for the fact that
he lost his parents at a young age. the thing is,
brackenpaw welcomes all of it and often takes
advantage of it. he is quite manipulative and
he knows how to get others to do what he wants.
he is quite naive and childish, therefore, he
doesn't realize how bad his actions are, and
how they could reflect onto who he is and who
he has yet to become. brackenpaw is also quite
stuck up and he believes that he, and all the
other medicince cats, should be respected.
Other than that, he has proven to be very helpful,
intelligent, trustworthy and loyal, he will never
abandon a friend in need. also, brackenpaw
is very compassionate and gentle while dealing
with cats in need. he knows how to keep a calm
expression to help calm other's down and this,
as well as his great memorization skills, make
him a good medicine cat. finally, brackenpaw
fears the future beause he doesn't want to
grow up, get a mate and loose his mentors.
