Skills & Abilities: TANDEM can be programmed to do just about anything. On default, they only know their own basic maintenance.

Equipment: They both have tons of built in features, such as EMP devices, night vision, electroshocks, build in chat interface, ect. Their bodies are almost as much machine as they are flesh and blood. A lot of their suits is removable. The plating and armor can be taken off to perform maintenance and such.

Aside from what's built into them, they have a plethora of weapons that they are given, depending on the assignment. They don't actually own any of them.

Personality:
Although neither cyborg has very much in the way of personality, they each have their little quirks that set them apart. Both are almost void of emotion and humanity. Whatever personality the two subjects had before being experimented on has been saved on a hard drive and locked away somewhere. They are little more than blank interfaces now.
T1 is the risk taker. He's more willing to take a chance in the field, risk injury for the sake of their mission.
T2 is the strategist. He doesn't like taking chances, because he's probably already got a plan that eliminates the need to risk anything.

Subject information:

TANDEM - Cyborgs

Once humans, TANDEM has bridged the gap between man and machine. Working perfectly as one unit, TANDEM are the soldiers of the future. Their design would no doubt brings a good load of money into the lab if sold, but right now, there's too much red tape over their creation being 'inhumane'. Its arguable that, since they were dead when they were found, that they no longer had human rights.

TANDEM communicates with others via The Interface. Users with access to the interface can type in commands, which then read out across the cyborgs' enhanced retinas. They use this same interface to communicate with each other, speak with one another like users in a chat room. They don't talk at all. The cyborgs are punished if they are found to be using their interface to talk about anything not work-related. However, TANDEM is clever. Together, they have created a separate channel, apart from the one made for them, where they are free to communicate without their handlers' prying eyes. Their conversations on this secret channel are usually more relaxed than those viewable by their creators.

The physical enhancements done to the cyborgs are advanced. Both have super strength, with a limit of lifting 2 tons. However, the unfortunate thing about machines is that, when they hit limits, they cannot push further. The cyborgs will never be able to lift more than 2 tons, and trying will result in damage.

They can reach up to 50 MPH on foot, and maintain that speed for 10 minutes before they will begin to overheat. That is their upper limit, and like said before, it can't be pushed.

Both have enhanced reflexes. Their reaction time depends on how much they were paying attention.

Both are very intelligent. Able to store up to 100 terabytes of information on their hard drives, which is said to be the limit of the human brain. The difference is that TANDEM never forgets. The information they store is constantly available to them. However, their hard drives are usually kept pretty vacant, to prevent them from developing their own opinions, preferences, and other human needs. That's the drawback. While TANDEM is unique because of their ability to mix the intelligence of a machine with the instinct of a man, they are still technically human. If left unchecked, they will slowly become more human.

Appearance:

TANDEM share the same design. It's not clear just how much is left of either of their human bodies, but it's obvious that some heavy modifications have been made. The cyborgs' eyes have been replaced with high tech machines. Their retinas contain screens that allow them to interact and receive commands via an interface that is programed into them. They are both 6 feet even.

T1 has brown hair, shaved with only the top of his left left with hair, exactly like T2. He is the smaller of the two, with his shoulders being less broad and his build less bulky. His skin is pallor, as if the blood has been drained from his face. He has a constant, blank expression when interacting with others. However, he is much better at conveying himself via facial expressions than T2. He only uses these facial expressions with T2, often able to communicate through them alone.

T2 has blond hair in the same style as T1. He has broad shoulders. It's clear that, when he was still human, he was the bigger man out of the two. He was probably taller at one time, too. His skin, too, is pallor. He usually wears a blank and stony expression, except when communicating with T1.

History:
Names long forgotten, James Fuller and Robert Vans were once decorated war heroes. They were an unstoppable team, trained in black ops for missions that most men would call a suicide run. Even as real people, they worked together flawlessly. The two soldiers finally met their demise while running an op. Their bodies were recovered by a villainous tech genuis, and the experiments began.

Having only been dead for mere minutes, most of their brain tissue was still recoverable. Whatever had received damage could be replaced. It took years for the two cyborgs to become what they today. Neither of them remember their past life.

Story Arc: TANDEM will hopefully be reformed into good guys. Maybe even people.

Name: Ignatius "Iggy" Coleman

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Personality: Iggy is a pretty quiet boy. He's friendly if approached, but he's not one to put himself out there. He's not exactly shy; just not a social butterfly. Aside from his quiet nature, Iggy is hard working and motivated. He understands that nothing in life is free, and everything has to be worked for. He's not particularly used to being given hand-outs.

Aside from work, he's a pretty chill dude. He spends his free time studying, listening to music, or playing free games on his phone. When it's not too hot or sunny out, he'll go outside for a walk or to chill out. But if the weather isn't right, he'll sunburn easily.

Other: He works at coffee shop near the campus.

Appearance: Iggy is tall and lanky. He's about 6'1 with a slender build. He couldn't put weight on if he tried. His hair is bright red and curly, usually kind of messy. His eyes are a light grey-blue, his eyelashes almost invisible. Iggy's skin is what draws most of the attention to him (wanted or unwanted). He's covered head to toe in freckles with fair skin underneath. While people often compliment him on them, Iggy secretly hates them.

History: Life wasn't too easy for Iggy. He spent most of his childhood alone, his parents never having much time for him. Iggy's father was almost never around and his mother was a chronic alcoholic. He was always a quiet kid in school, often picked on and having few friends. As he got older, he slowly learned how to take care of himself.

When Iggy was 17, his mother was arrested for drunk driver, and he was presented with an option: go into a boys' home, or move across the country to live with his aunt and uncle. By this time, Iggy already had a job, a few friends, and he knew the town he lived in well. It seemed like starting over would be devastating.

Iggy stayed, but instead of going to the boys' home, he decided to switch schools and go to James Fadley, where he could stay in a dorm. He works part-time at the coffee shop across from the campus to pay for his boarding and food expenses. He's been going to this school for a little over a year, but he still hasn't quite come out of his shell. He mostly just focus's on his work and school.

Species: Merman

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Beck is very curious and adventurous. His nosiness has gotten him into trouble with humans several times before, and probably will again. He's very interested in human culture. While sweet and hospitable in nature, Beck can come off as being blunt or brutally honest. He isn't a very good liar, and can typically be taken at face value.

Appearance: Beck is a "redbone" mixed ethnicity, originally from the Gulf Shores. He had dreadlocks that are grown a little past his shoulders, and curly hairs that pokes out here and there. Beck's skin is a medium brown with a reddish undertone. He has several tattoos and ear gages, as shown in the picture. Beck is very fascinated by human body art, and will occasionally sneak on shore to add to his collection. Or to simply admire others'.

His tail is black and white with red and yellow accents.

Height 5' 10"

Hair color: Dark brown with red and blonde undertones.

Eye color: Brown

Other: He speaks with a deep Southern/Cajun accent.

History: Beck grew up near the shores of Louisiana. As a child, venturing into freshwater rivers and streams was a thrill, where snakes and alligators outnumbered fish. As he grew older, this adventurous spirit grew with him. He eventually got brave enough to leave his kin to venture into bigger waters. Beck wanted to see the rest of the world.

He's been hanging around the shores of California for a couple years now. The people and sights there are too interesting to just pass by.

Age: 19
Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Roan is a quiet young man. Calm, stoic, cool and collected. Morose and laconic as a result of a traumatic event that occurred during one of his experimentation sessions. One that he doesn't like being reminded of. He doesn't speak out very much, usually only adding input when he really feels its needed. However, just because he doesn't say a whole lot, doesn't mean he doesn't do a whole lot. Roan is a key member of the flock, often seeing himself as the 'grown up' in many situations. He cares for and protects his adopted siblings as if they were his blood family.

Appearance: Tall and lean. Roan stands at 5'11" with curly reddish brown hair and dark brown eyes. His face is a bit scruffy, with a little bit of beard starting to grow out. After having escaped the lab, he hasn't been overly concerned with keeping himself shaved and overly groomed. The small amount of freedom, being able to do whatever he wanted with his hair and body, is a nice change.

He has two black wings protruding from his back. On the underside, they are a shade of tawny brown with darker spots. The black feathers run up his spine, meeting his hair on the back of his neck. His wings are pretty flexible. They fold in such a way that he can hide them under a t-shirt if need be.

History: Roan was born and raised in the lab, created from a donated egg. As a young boy, he was active and adventurous like any other. He loved to talk to the whitecoats and anyone who would give him a minute to listen. He young naivety and innocence was refreshing in the soulless lab.

But of course, it couldn't last forever.

When Roan had just turned 13, he was taken away for a several day long experiment. During the time of his absences, nothing was said or heard from him. When he was brought back almost a week later, the boy had changed. He had a haunted demeanor; eyes that stared off for miles and tense, aloof movement. Roan has never really discussed what caused his 360 change, but whatever it was, he's done his best to move past it. While still quiet, Roan seemed fairly happy with his 'family', and would do anything to keep them safe.
