As the sun begins to set, it highlights a lone figure crouched atop an
abandoned building. Their marked pelt catches the light with a dull
glow and crystalline blue eyes drift with deceiving apathy over the
ground below. A black nose twitches with the breeze, alert to any
sign of danger, and a muted flapping follows the flick of a ripped ear.
He remains in place until the moon is high in the sky before slowly
rising. One arched back and a silent yawn later, they leap down from
their perch into the tree four pads to their left. Calloused paws walk
confidently on the bouncing branch, ignorant to their plausible fall.
The figure glides down his tree, knowing from experience where to
apply their weight. Once on the ground, the massive tom shakes out
his fluffy pelt and stretches out blackened forepaws to release tension.
As he kneads the ground, the moon catches curved claws, dimly
lighting the pale tools. A familiar call pricks his ears and the figure
contentedly bounds towards it.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx~ personality ~
- ↠ Saberfoot is a rather easy going tom, enjoying anything from a pile of leaves to climbing his favourite
tree. Due to his supposed loner heritage things were awkward for a few moons, but he quickly adjusted due to
the fact he was just a kit at that time. He's mostly found laying on his back whenever he's bored or pleading
[which is quite often, though he'd never admit it]. The tom hides behind a flirtatious wall, difficult to break
down, but once you do his natural sarcastically honest nature peaks through. He can easily piss a cat off, but his
kind nature forbids him from making enemies and no one can stay mad at him forever [especially when he rolls
onto his back and begs for forgiveness with wide eyes]. He may not like to make enemies, but that does not
eliminate annoying the she-cats in his clan.
↠ Even so, he can be either your closest ally or your worst enemy. He doesn't take dung from anyone [if it's not
in joking] and is relentlessly loyal [almost to the point of being annoying]. The tom is able to sober up when
needed and, because of his skills [fighting and otherwise], can be a solid shoulder to rely on. When things get
too tense, he is there to lighten up the mood with quick thinking and a sarcastic comment. If you get on his bad
side, he speedily hands out a warning to give time for you to change. He never beats around the bush and will
straight up tell you if you're bothering him. On the other hand, if he likes you, he won't be caught dead outright
confessing. Rather, the tom will show not tell with anonymous acts of kindness.
↠ Saberfoot has one policy that he refuses to let go of and that is to never judge any cat before he gets to know
them. It's a rather simple policy and he sticks to it like glue. Until he knows you, he will treat you with as much
respect as he can muster. If, however, you disrespect him or those who have earned his trust, he will not hesitate
to rise against you.
↠ Saberfoot is one of, if not the, biggest cats in the clan and for this reason gets rather self-conscious when next
to some of the smaller, more lithe males. His extra fluffy pelt also contributes to his apparent weight. Though he
doesn't like being as big as he is, his size makes for the perfect guard. With fur dropping into his eyes and extra
long claws that peak out even when sheathed, any cat would be intimidated by him. What they don't know is how
much of a teddy bear he is inside.
↠ Typically, an angered cat, especially one as massive as Saberfoot, would be intimidating to say the least.
However, Saberfoot is not a typical massive cat. He's fluffy, cuddly, and wouldn't be able to hold a staring
contest with a mouse for fear of offending it. Angering him is about as bad as falling into the river at sunhigh in
the middle of greenleaf. It could be mildly bothersome, but is generally harmless. Even if he knew this [and his
clan knew this], it doesn't stop him from trying his best to strike terror into those who dared cross his path--
which he generally succeeds in if they don't know him well enough.
↠ The only cats able to genuinely piss him off are those who decide attacking his clan is a good idea. Ever since
he was taken in by Lionpelt, he has been fiercely overprotective of the old healer [though his pride would never
let him admit it] and, by association, the clan he belongs to. When he gets mad, the massive tom is a sight fit for
a horror movie. His long coat fluffs up, normally perky ears flatten back, crystalline blue eyes turn several shades
blacker, and lips part in a snarl to reveal sharp pearly white fangs. This phase never lasts for long though and he
will return to his typically mischievous self seconds after the danger is gone. The whiplash is real with this one,
but he doesn't get very angry very often, unwilling to alienate the cats that took him in when he needed them.
↠ Saberfoot is very intelligent when it comes to things like strategy or finding the best places to hunt. When it
comes to matters of the heart, however, he's not quite as brilliant. In fact, he's rather oblivious and ends up
acting slightly too blunt. He likes to think he's subtle though, which makes for an interesting sight to the casual
outsider looking in. If he finds out a close friend likes the molly he does, he'll generally give her space, but be
sure to keep asharp eye on the other tom. If he likes her a lot, it might be a bit difficult for the Maine Coon to
keep his distance. In the end he'd probably fail and give up trying, making sure his friend is alright with a little
friendly competition.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx~ history ~
- ↠ Unlike most of his clan mates, he was born out side the clan. To who? Or where? No one knows not even him,
but that doesn't stop him from trying to connect a face to the black memories of a brief scent and the lingering
feel of safety. Most of his memories up till 5 moons of age are completely missing, broken up only by feelings of
pain and varying scenes of blood. Saberfoot has only one or two that bring about good feelings, but these are the
ones he chooses to focus on.
↠ His earliest memory is one of him and his siblings huddling together to keep out the cold. From this he assumes
he was born in leafbare, but he cannot be too sure. His next memory is of being alone and mewling out for help.
The rest include intimidating glimpses of feral shaggy cats interested in his size [a hefty 6lbs/3kg at 4months] and
potential.
↠ At 5 and a half moons, he managed to stumble across an Ivyclan border patrol. Because he was still a kit they
were obligated to bring him into the clan. It took several moons for him to completely heal from being on his own
for so long and several more for him to find his place in the clan. Luckily, his open demeanor made it easy for him
to make friends, though it was quite awhile before he was comfortable enough to flirt.
↠ Lionpelt was the oldest healer on paw when Saber first came into Ivyclan and so took over the job of nursing
the large kit back to health. Even being underweight, the old tom could tell his patient would be an asset to the
clan. As he got better, Saberfoot's true personality started coming out and, once he was finally allowed on the
camp's first floor, he was able to make friends fairly easily.
↠ The first of his friends was a cat named Duskpaw. Saberpaw enjoyed the tom's kind nature and liked the way
he could be so mysterious -- something the elder of the two though was necessary when picking up attractive
she-cats. Duskpaw was fairly closed off at first, but Saber took one glance at the tom and decided he wanted to
be friends. It took a few moons before Saber realized Dusk had a sister, which could be considered odd with how
overprotective her brother is of her. It didn't take long after that for Saber to develop a little crush on the molly.
Her sweet and innocent nature was a serious draw to him and he found it cute how small she was in comparison.
↠ Friends were generally easy to come by after those two welcomed him in to the clan, but his size was slightly
intimidating to those who didn't know him. When he first became a guard, the royalty didn't know what to do
with his bouncy nature and large build. Most thought he was better fit to be a fighter, doubting his loyalty to a
clan that didn't raise him from birth, but he's done his best to prove his puppy-like loyalty -- especially to the
monarch's mate.
↠ It isn't that he's attracted to her, but she's one of the few cats he feels he can trust with anything. Her noble
nature makes him look up to her and, though he could do without her strict following of the rules, he respects
her for her self-less personality when it comes to the clan. On the other paw, he doesn't like Sprucestar much.
Saber finds the old tom far too strict and distant for his tastes. He respects the way his monarch has led the clan
so far, which is one of the few reasons he keeps his dislike under wraps.
↠ All in all, Saberfoot doesn't know what he would do with out Ivyclan and so chose to dedicate himself to
protecting its future.
