Finchflight is a young, adventurous cat who
believes the purpose of life is to live it to the fullest.
She's a daredevil at heart, and will often be found
doing stunts that might cost her her life. An example
might be hanging from the tallest branch on a pine tree,
or holding a contest with a friend to see who can hold
their breath the longest underwater. Finchflight, hence
the name, once tried to fly as an apprentice. This resulted
in a broken hind-leg, which still leaves her with a limp
today. She's able to hunt and fight, though she will take
occasional visits to the medicine den for herbs to relieve the
pain. Now, onto the negative aspects. Finchflight
is known to be very snappy when in a bad mood.
So, it may not be wise to wake her from a deep
slumber, or annoy her and tease her. She holds
grudges forever, and does not forgive easily. Speaking
of grudges, Finchflight still blames herself for her
sister, Ivykit's death. As young cats, Finchflight and her
sister were crossing the river as a competition. Ivykit
had leaped and slipped off the rock, and Finchflight
barely had enough strength to catch her. Finchflight
caught her scruff, but Ivykit was pulled by the raging
river. She never saw her sister again. The devastated
she-cat promised herself to take up swimming, so
if a situation like that ever happened again, she
would be ready. Finchflight is stilla bit depressed, so
any mention of death is a touchy subject.
