Hey guys.
I'm closing down the Dump forever. Your adoptables will be all safe and sound, I won't delete them, you can still display them at your will. But this is closing down, no other adoptables will ever be released.
There are many reasons for my closing down the Dump. Some are more personal than this, which I won't release here, but these are some of the reasons.
Firstly, I am starting at a new school. I will have no time to go on the Dump anymore, and it's also because I'm starting secondary school, there'll be way too much homework and settling down stuff to work for the Dump.
Secondly, I got a new laptop. It has new programs, and it does not have MS paint, which means I will not be able to create the adoptables the same way anymore. It has better programs such as Photoshop CS5, which I am currently experimenting with, in the hope of doing better stuff.
Thirdly, and finally, I could do so much better than the Dump for all of you. This style is starting to tire me, and so is colouring in the same old lineart all the time. I could do much better art than this for all of you, and I hope to open up a new adoptable shop in future. A better one, better for all of you.
I loved the Dump while I had it, and I do not want it to reach the stage in which I half-heartedly colour in ugly adoptables. Nope. I don't want that to happen.

Hello and welcome to the Dump. Many people of this neighbourhood dump innocent animals here, including a strange laboratory that often releases mutant creatures with strange colouring. In fact, the laboratory is perhaps the most frequent dumpers of all.
It is up to you to give them a good home, and let them become healthy, well-adjusted creatures. Many of them have had a hard life, and it would be wonderful if you could save them and give them lots of attention.
The most frequently released animals in the dump are dogs. In fact, it almost exclusively releases dogs, however not quite, but some locals call it the 'Dog Dump'.
These animals are growable (if they have been made as puppies) and breedable (when they are adults). Growth from puppy to adult normally takes up to ten days.

Hey all. The Dump's current raffle will go on for another week after this news has been posted, and then it will be paused for another week. This is to give me some time to prepare the Christmas event which should begin at about 21st of December, give or take. Please bear in mind I may not be very active during Christmas and if it turns out I'm really busy I may have to pause the event altogether, but I'm hoping that will not happen.

A D O P T I O N S

Adoptions occurs in two forms. The raffle, which occurs once every week or so, and the random adoption.
The raffle is simply that, a raffle. You fill out a form, and at the end of the time period I give (normally a week or so), you wait to see if you had been drawn as a winner. The random adoption is sometimes open, sometimes not. You have to stalk the thread frequently to see if any have been posted, and its first come, first serve.
Any stage of growth can be dumped here. Most of the time it is adults, but occasionally a civilian will dump an unwanted puppy here.
Any pets that are not adopted will become either random giveaways or mine. Mwahaha.

Breeding is only available between same species and adults.
To breed, you must purchase a breeding potion from the store.
It may take up to one month to receive your litter, but usually it will be shorter. The litter will be released as puppies in blankets, since they were not dumped they would not be in a dump bag.
The litter may inherit any defects or attributes that your animals have. Some defects that are not inheritable in nature can still be inherited (such as a missing leg, scars, etc.) You must wait until slots are open to fill in a form. Animals do not have to both belong to you. If you would like to breed with someone else's PM them.
In an animal litter, normally you have from 1-4 puppies, which you can name, breed and trade.

Make an adoptable for the Dump. This is an ongoing competition - there will never be an end. Basically, you can design your own Dump adoptable. It will not be made into a custom for you. It will be released to the general public as a pet. You must PM me the pet's code, do not post it here.
You may not post it anywhere else apart from chickensmoothie, and you must always give me credit for the lineart. If I do not accept it, for example, if it is not a very good quality colouring, then you cannot post it anywhere at all.
Please upload it to a image-hosting website. The background is that colour so it can be made transparent, and is for my own use.
No lineart edits are permitted, and they are automatically common or uncommon.

I will not list if your creature has a defect, however it should be pretty easy to tell.

Mutant colouring ~
The laboratory usually releases these creatures. Apart from their colouring, they a generally well-behaved and normal animals.

Mutations ~
Another common theme from the laboratory. Unlike mutant coloured animals however, animals with mutations seem much more varied in their personalities, with shy animals scared of people and vicious creatures that hate people.

Zombie
These creatures usually come from the graveyard, and they can spread their disease. They are highly dangerous and seem to have a penchant for murdering people and other animals and eating their brains. They can easily be identified by their gray colouring, lack of fur, grisly appearance and bulging head. They seem to preserve the injuries sustained to them in their previous life, and somehow their skull seems to have broken apart for a hardened, enormous brain.
They have been observed breeding, and while they make monster litters of up to six animals, most of the animals from the breedings are extremely similar or even identical to each other, which does not make them good breeding stock. They are able to breed with normal animals, but we at the dump are highly sceptical if a normal animal wants to breed with them.

A Good One will be given privileges of having their own custom adoptable made for free, heavily discounted prices of items, and random gifts. They may also have to colour in adoptables for special events, to be released to everyone.

F A Q

1. Why on earth don't you tell us the rarities before I adopt?
Well, I don't want you adopting just because its rare. I want you to genuinely like its design.

2. Why didn't you release adoptables? You're so slow, blah blah blah.
I'm a lazy commitment phobic person with a life. This adoptable thing is to prove I can actually stick on task. Oh yeah, and one warning for you for complaining. DX

3. Can I suggest a design?
Sure you can! I welcome all suggestions except ones that don't follow Tess's rules.

4. What? What on earth is going on? Why isn't my puppy growing?
Normally it takes about two weeks to fully grow an adoptable. However, if a youngster contracts Eternal Youth Syndrome, they will never grow up and will never be able to breed.

5. What's with the bag?
The bag is the dumping bag the puppy is dumped in. This only occurs in puppies you adopt straight from here - bred puppies will come in a patterned blanket shaped like a bag. As they grow up, they get rid of the bag/blanket. The bag of dumped puppies is always grey - however you can tell what kind of patterns it will have by the giveaway patch on the bag. Bred puppies however have the complete blanket patterned like themselves. It is a theme, not a complete guide however, so please be wary when you are adopting these.

6. How long does it take for you to make a litter for bred dogs?
It could take from a week to three weeks. If you're lucky I may actually finish it within a week. Also if the generator likes me. Why? I have to draw three stages (bag, pup, adult) for each puppy. Appreciate it.
