"my name is august briar. i don't know what either of my names mean, never really been interested in that kind if stuff. all i know is when i was born that's what my mom decided to call me. i like it, it's got a kind of poetic feel to it. i appreciate that. almost sounds like the name of a character in a book. maybe not the main character though, more like the best friend's brother's room mate. or something like that. i was born nineteen years ago on october seventeenth. my mom always told me that the year i was born winter had come early. frost painted the ground in spider web patterns, the pond outside our small house was already frozen over. there weren't any leaves left on the trees, just skeletal birches that stretched up from the frozen earth like ghostly fingers. my mom named me august because she was remembering the warm months that seemed to have just disappeared. there was no moon the night i was born."

ｄｙｓｆｕｎｃｔｉｏｎａｌ ｉｓ ａ ｇｏｏｄ ｗｏｒｄ ｆｏｒ ｉｔ. "i've never met my dad. my mom doesn't even know him. she was working at a bar, just a waitress, it was an in between jobs kind of thing. she was tired, she wasn't in her right mind. he was friendly, nice, flirty and and attractive. she took him home and he was gone before she woke up the next morning. nine months later she had me. she didn't know what he was at the time, if she had maybe she would've gotten rid of me like my grandmother told her to. my dad was a werewolf, is one for all i know. we found out on accident, did a lot of damage before we found out. lucky for me there's a local pack that took me in. as far as i know my dad came from the pack but left them around the time he met my mom. maybe i'll meet him one day. i'm not sure i want to. i've got a good pack though, and a better best friend. they're a little nuts, a little rowdy, but they're family, and they've always got alcohol. my mom ____________________________________doesn't exactly love them, but they help us get by so no one's complaining. i don't know what i ____________________________________would do without them."

ｙｅｌｌｏｗ ｅｙｅｓ ａｎｄ ｓｃａｒｌｅｔ ｈａｉｒ. august is tall and lanky, if he was a girl he would be described as willowy. however he's not a girl so mostly people just call him skinny. standing at 6' 3" and weighing in at around 140lbs he's a bit of a twig. he gets teased often bu the rest of the pack about his lack of muscle. his hair, like his mother's, is a fiery titian, red like the color leaves turn in the autumn. he has a nebula of freckles that stretches across the bridge of his nose into both cheeks. his complexion is generally rather pale. he has a different kind of look, elven almost. he has a perpetual ginger shadow that never goes away. his eyes are a sharp, mint leaf green.

"if i had to choose one word to describe me i think it would probably be liar. that's the truth, dead serious. all my other attributes end up boiling down to that. i've spent my whole life keeping secrets and now i don't know how to stop. i'm smart, i'm sarcastic, i'm a pessimistic drunk. actually i'm pessimistic even if i'm not drunk. i barely deserve the friends i have. i'm obsessed with photography, i have a home made dark room. i'm secretly a hopeless romantic (don't laugh because it's actually true) and i've been in love with my best friend for as long as i can remember."

----sup guys. so exams are fast approaching and my life is kind of in shambles. a lot of stuff is happening and i need to figure out how to deal with it while managing the stress of school and a non professional therapist job as well as my real job. my time on this website is going to be greatly decreased until further notice. i'll still be on to reply to messages and roleplays whenever i can but posting rate will probably go down greatly.

→ hallo, i'm incognito. you can call me anything you can come up with, so far i've gotten cogs, inky, inni, cogsworth, and nito. i've come ambling along in search of a few new roleplays since school is over for me and i have time on my hands. i am a semi literate to literate roleplayer who can average at 600 words easily. depending on the plot i'm fine with post lengths ranging from anywhere between 300 words and 1000+ words. i run by eastern standard time however often i'm on late into the night [for me at least] so that i can chat with friends from other time zones, and mostly because i have mild to severe insomnia. the amount of time i'm on a day varies greatly and i'm a professional procrastinator, as well as someone who is currently employed at a paying job. due to these factors, and other personal ones, i do not reply every day. i aim for once a week at the very least, around three to four times at most. i do not have preference towards coded or non coded posts, for this reason: i do not believe that coding exemplifies whether or not a person is semi-literate. it's a personal choice based on aesthetic preferences and it does not mean that someone who codes is a good writer or is compensating for the lack of writing ability, nor does it mean that someone who doesn't code is illiterate or a better writer. it's completely situational. i personally find using the list function and shrinking the font to be aesthetically pleasing, and usually the most coding i'll do besides that is a header. if you like to code, so be it, if you'd like me to code, that's fine too. obviously i'd like you to meet my standards in writing, and please don't be offended if i turn you down even if you meet the literacy requirements. i tend to be very picky stylistically as well. i ask that you do not write in the first person however, and that you do not mind that i write in the present tense. it would be phenomenal if you'd be willing to construct a complex plot with me, however this is, again, not imperative. i am willing to roleplay via the forums, email, or awesomesauce, however forums here are easiest for me and will receive replies more consistently. i enjoy romance however it is not exigent. i am comfortable with any romantic coupling of characters be it m x m, f x f, m x f, or anything else. i would like to experiment with aromantic characters and relationships as well. i have a lot of plots on hand, and ask that you come to me with some idea, at least a genre, that you're interested in. i fancy creating plots from vague prompts and can throw them together from songs, and any other vague ideas you throw my way. i enjoy fandom based roleplays, though i have no interest in anime, and if i am familiar with the series or 'verse i'd be open to plots surrounding them. supernatural, the mortal instruments, percy jackson, and harry potter are just a few examples. being a bit of a bookworm and cinephile there aren't many things i don't at least know about. i enjoy most any genre and any sort of original plot. i'll stop pontificating now and i hope to hear from a few of you.
