ok so that crush i posted about yesterday lmao. today i was chilling in the pool with my friend and all of a sudden she was like "i think [he] likes [our best friend]" and i was like "omg yeahhh" cause i do see it. but i just kind of wanted to ignore it and think ohhh he's just warming up to people. so we ask a few other girls and now all of a sudden there's a whole giggle and gaggle of girls agreeing and being like "OMG HE TOOOOTALLY LIKES HER" and like! yeah!

so we asked her if she likes him. she said she has never seen him in that way but maybe if she gave him the opportunity she could, basically. so i went behind everyone's back and asked him and he was like "i'm considering it" and so i was like "epic" so now i'm trying to get them together because hey! i'm not gonna get in the way of this.

he's a genuinely lovely, great person. i could see him making somebody REALLY happy. he's just so respectful and caring for a boy our age. i'm not envious or anything which is odd considering i sort of do like him. i guess i just never let myself fall for him, yknow? so it's not too much of a loss. but now that i know he probably does like her and she's contemplating herself, i'm trying to get em together.

but this boy. keeps. leaving. me. on. read. when i give him advice. brother i am trying to help you SO hard right now. i could TOTALLY mess this up for you, you know. i have gotten so many people together and it always works out but i could 100% do the opposite. i finally got through to him and we conversated enough to get some points across but it's like UGHHHHHHHH. do you know how freaking lucky you are that you have me??????? i'm such a good person that i'm TRYING TO GET YOU TOGETHER. HELP ME HELP YOU. STOP. MAKING. THIS. DIFFICULT.

UGHHHH. and love's been in the air recently for a few of my friends and it's just like?? i'm listening to them and i could not care less about these boys. yes it's cute. but all the time? it just feels annoying. like i genuinely do not care. i care about these people a lot and i am so happy that they're happy, but maybe i just dont experience romanticism like they do. it's making me contemplate it, yknow? like i do. not. care. about these people i don't know. and i'm just listening to them yammer on about these fantasies and things and i'm just thinking like this is not going anywhere. i know from experience.

it's just. i've only once told a friend about a crush. i don't talk to people irl like i do here. i would never let myself like somebody and tell my friends about it because it would feel embarrassing to be let down publicly. i want to know somebody likes me back before announcing it to others. it feels private.

i don't know. i'm trying to get these two together - i genuinely am. i'm not frustrated by the fact that i sort of like him, but more by how stagnant this all feels.
