A new oekaki challenge! And what better way to introduce a new character than to enter a challenge. I used this picture as a reference. ^^

A bit of a mix of two songs were the inspiration for this one. "You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins and "Baby Mine" from the original Dumbo. There's just something about them that really get me.

I always cut it close with the official challenges, haha. It took me forever to figure out how to draw a fox, and even longer to figure out his design. Not entirely happy with the outcome but I do like the idea I came up with for him.

He's an arctic fox that likes to pull around a small sled when he's exploring. He puts things he finds on the sled and takes them back home. He's chipper and friendly, and loves to race. He's too small to be a real sled dog but he dreams about it.

Aaron was one of the first characters I ever designed, so he's pretty special to me. This was his old design

Now for a name... Reverie, Ponder, Ecstasy, Bliss, Mirage, Euphoria, Serendipity, Mystic, Fantasy, Slumber ...how about Epiphany?

so- I am never going to finish this in the amount of time I have so I thought I might as well post it now- plus I don't have any color ideas anyways so I wouldn't be able to finish even if I had all the time in the world

This lass needed a revamp, she was sold to me so technically a new characters c: Man it feels good to draw again.

Decided to give this challenge a shot
with my first and oldest character.
Artemis has been through several
design changes over the years, but
has been sitting and collecting dust
for quite a while now. I just couldn't
bring myself to trade her away, and
she's long overdue for a revamp. I
am quite happy with how she has
turned out, and my connection with
her is starting to spark again!

-not from earth, she comes from a planet known as Valir
-optional floppy Mohawk and piercings
-kind of a punk back on Valir
-when she's hurt, she leaves a trail when she walks of sparkly dust and plant growth (dandelion-esque flowers and grass)

This challenge was the perfect opportunity to debut my boy Jasper's design update. He used to have a fox-like tail but i've decided that he looks much better with a curly tail instead. ^^
