Name; Heather
Age; Young Adult
Gender; Female (She/her)
Species; Snakefolk
Traits; Hidden teeth (Hidden in gums until used), Has poor hearing (Please talk in a raised voice, not a yell, but as though you were talking over top of a group of housefolk)

Appearance; Heather appears to be share a build akin to a ball python, with a long, muscular body, heat pits, and hooked teeth hidden within her gums. At roughly 10 inches in length, almost a foot long, she is one of the largest kinds of housefolk, however due to her lack of appendages, her lifted head height is only around 3 to 4 inches. She has a soft cream-grey colouration with darker stripes from her head to her tail, and two large patches of white spotting along her back and tail. Her eyes are a soft blue, as is her tongue.
Personality; Quiet and gentle, Heather is seemingly docile, with no particular drive aside from staying safe, she is happy to simply go about her days in a calm manner, taking life as it comes. She can be very shy upon first meeting strangers, having a rather nervous view of anything outside of the norm, however she is really quite kind and friendly once a positive relationship is established. Despite her lack of appendages, Heather is confident in her abilities and has learnt to maneuver the world with sureness and ease, and is not afraid to branch out ask for help when needed.

Known History; Heather was born to a small clutch of her mother, Nettle, under a rotten log in the forest. There, she was cared for by her mother for a short while until she was sent off on her own. Traveling on her own for a short while, Heather settled beneath a tumble of rocks only a slither away from a small stream, where she occasional hunts for stream dwelling creatures. She likes to gather interesting things she finds on the forest floor and that float down the stream, and will trade with her neighbours and travelers that offer her something interesting in return.

Other; Heather does not often wander to far from the stream, using it as a way to guide herself home. If you find her somewhat lost, please help her find her way to the stream.

appearance: orange and red small squirrel folk, around the size of a large mousefolk, with purple-grey pattern, white-cream stomach, and green eyes
personality: Quick-witted and extremely daring, Cress is prone to act first and ask questions later. It's not that she doesn't think things through, she just makes a quick plan that works most of the time, but sometimes... well, it doesn't go exactly as she hoped. This has led to some risky situations, but so far she has found her way out of every one! Cress's brain moves a mile a minute and she sometimes talks faster than she realizes, much to the bewilderment of other housefolk. Cress also loves heights. She sometimes wishes she could be a finchfolk so she could fly. Everything is interesting to Cress. From feathers to shiny stones, she loves collecting it all!

history: Cress was fairly close to her family growing up, her two younger siblings and her parents. But she grew apart from them as she got older, eager to explore while they wanted to play it safe and stay where they know everything.

As she reached the end of adolescence, Cress was finally able to leave home. She packed up a small piece of paper towel with food enough for several days and a few memories, strapped on her belt (with tightly threaded loops to carry pouches and such), and buttoned on the poncho she had made out of scraps (her family lives in the woods so there aren't many human settlements around, so they made do with the occasional materials sold to them by wandering traders). Her parents and siblings all said their goodbyes, giving her hugs until she had to tell them that the sun would set soon if she didn't leave now. Excitement quickly drowned out the bittersweet goodbye as she turned towards the bright open world and set out for whatever would come next.

other: her belt is made from a woven bracelet like this one! every so often, there is a small piece of thread stitched on it. these make up sort of loops (they are hardly sticking out though) and work so she can tie things like bags around them and slip a needle through them to carry it

a darkly colored batfolk with heterochromia- right eye is yellow, left eye is purple! she has slight freckle-like spotting on her cheeks, shoulders, and thighs, and her body is much fluffier than her limbs (her fur is very soft!). she is about 5 inches from claw tip to ear tip, and her wingspan is ~12 inches.

pepper is a rather adventurous young folk, and wants to explore the world and find cool things. she loves collecting items and is incredibly excited to figure out how to craft new things! she can be recklessly daring sometimes, when her curiosity gets the better of her, and she has a stubborn, spiteful streak that shows up sometimes. she never turns down a friendly competition, but she enjoys making new friends and meeting new people! she's a bit of a chatterbox and even if there's no one to talk to, she's been known to talk to herself, just to fill the silence. wip wip

pepper grew up in the rafters of an abandoned barn, on the outskirts of an old farm, with her father and her younger brother. not long after her brother was born, her mother was caught and killed by a stray cat, leaving her father to raise them both to the best of his ability. it wasn't easy of course, but they had it pretty good up there- her father kept both of them safe, and taught them what he knew. pepper always wanted to explore, and for a long time her father was overly protective- understandably so, after losing his wife like that. now, pepper is old enough to set out on her own, and despite her father's worry he was supportive. he gave her a teary hug and a bag of food, and her little brother gave her half of his favorite button. she set off with the square of cloth- her scarf- from her mother she's had since she was little, a satchel of food and memories, and excitement in her heart, to find a place that was her own.

- she is mostly nocturnal, sleeping during the day and working and exploring during the night!
- she has an incredibly good sense of hearing- which means she's not a big fan of loud noises.
- she uses the scarf as both a bandana around her neck, and in her hair if need be!

Known Past: Moor (who is under the firm opinion that he was meant to be mousefolk) was extremely reluctant to leave their first home and was nudged out by their parents almost as soon as they were of age. They are still looking for a place to call their own, far enough from humans but close enough to have enough resources to survive.
