Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

HCB #001 based on this drawing by Andromeda
by Andromeda @ Thu Jan 05, 2023 2:12 pm [Reply]

Haflinger Coldbloods are a cross between the Haflinger horse and the South German Coldblood. Haflingers themselves are smaller, stocky horses, though their gait is smooth and elegant. They, however, only present as flaxen chestnut, which is where the SGCs come in. These significantly larger coldbloods are desired for their strength, obedience, and flexibility when it comes to working with them.

They're often used in dressage, eventing, and agricultural work, really signifying how well these horses can adapt. Introducing this cross allowed the Haflinger x Coldblood offspring to present as a variety of coat colors, modifiers, and markings! Haflinger Coldbloods are renowned for their hardiness, work ability, endurance, and capacity to adapt.

She or he will be a dark and fire mix.. a halfbreed.. an outcast
but perhaps they will take their looks from her? or perhaps she can hide them away somewhere?
either way she will not be parted from her little one no matter the cost.
She is skittish with nerves dreading the day and at the same time excited to meet her little one

Any questions you may have will be answered here!

Question:

Is there an ice element?

Answer: No. Water is both ice and water

Question: What is the name of my horse storage?

Answer: Herds

Question: Do I need discord to be staff or participate?

Answer: No but it is recommended

Cattail @ Mon Nov 28, 2022 6:05 am

I was just making my "stables" for divided elements when I realized there isn't an ice element?

LunarTheCat2047 @ Mon Nov 28, 2022 6:30 am

Well, first of all, they are called Herds

And second, water is ice. It is ice and water. Meaning it can control both

Thank you for submitting your question!

Cattail @ Mon Nov 28, 2022 6:36 am

Oh lol thanks
