Devon gnawed on another slice of pizza, watching Boris stuff as much pizza as he could into his mouth. "What's it like in 1918?" he asked.
Boris shrugged. "Same as it is at any point in time, I would assume. There's war and violence and deceit. That's how humans always are, it appears they don't even need us to destroy the balance, anyway." he smiled. "But, in the midst of all of this terrible war, government coups, and economy crashes, there's still so much good. Life is simple. Most children play with whatever they can find in the yard, and they cooperate with their friends and siblings. The majority of adults go to work nine to five, but they come back home with smiles on their faces. The only technology that they're obsessed with comes straight from the industrial revolution."
Devon reached into the darkness, this time without looking. He pulled out a quilt and curled up in it. "And it was your job do observe daily life?"
"Yes," Boris replied, frowning slightly. "You know," his expression returned to a more positive state, "I've actually seen quite a bit, for as young as I am. Years fly by, but I'm still here. Always." Boris bit his lip nervously. He didn't yet wish to tell Devon what was on his mind. No matter how kind he seemed, Devon was still a very powerful person, and their societies had been at war since anyone could remember.
"Right..?" he asked hopefully, turning his head to meet Devon's eyes. To his surprise, Dev was sound asleep on the floor.
"Hmph." said the cat-like man. "My story wasn't that boring now, was it?" he grinned and took a seat next to his new master. He tried to stay awake, but eventually succumbed to a deep sleep.

so yeah I feel like I must explain some things
first, that grayscale color scheme made me want to tear my hair out, so that is now nonexistent
second, the right side of Shawn's hair is way shorter than the left side, if any of you cant make out her hair style
third, her mom my favorite character out of this whole comic, no joke has Fae repellent herbs tied to her shawl. Yes she is VERY prepared
and fourth the Fae away shirt

So I need to go back in and add shading but I will probably do that on a later date. It seems that my don't care about anatomy comic is slowly getting proper anatomy although it still looks horrible XD Although I love the second and last panel. Seriously though I love MewMew. I bet ya'll didn't know that XD
