Aside from that side of her though, she's always trying to lighten the mood in her desert home, as she finds it to be quite dull and sad. She has an eye for anything that could be used to make the desert just a little less bland, and will often be seen trying to find anything that will brighten the place up a little bit. Flowers have always been something she tries to obtain for this reason, but her allergies always stop her.

Each Eve has it's own floral scent, to attract prey and of course.. attention! Furry paws for cuddling, silky tails for balance and soft hearts for loving, each Eve reserves the right to be cared for more than anything. Research has suggested that these creatures have feelings and are emotional just like us! Weather affects their mood which is a known fact by our Eve owners- very well known, in fact. Rain for sadness, Sunshine for joy, Storms for anger (which is rare among such a warm-hearted species) and clouds for irritation. Little is so far known about this species, besides that can be found in nearly any climate! Communication is done with sounds similar to a foxes' bark and body language. Most Eves also possess a flower crown, positioned typically on the top of their heads. These crowns are not removable. Some Eves are capable of not owning a flower crown- which happens to be very rare. Other mutations such as flower crowns on tails, legs, or necks also exist, but are extremely uncommon.

what do they do when they can't sleep [700 word limit]:

The world is aquiver.
Shaking. Blurring at the edges.
Beau can’t tell up from down.
Unsure if he’s breathing.
A claustrophobic, blinding light ensnares the universe.
Beau chokes and is pulled apart, slowly exploding from the inside out…
The pain is unbearable, building, building, building --!
A scream rips from his chest.
Quickly, shadow falls, washing away the blinding sharpness of the sky.
A moment of silence. Then everything shatters.

A smooth, mellifluous music flows gently through the glass.
The mirrored edge of the world has broken into a million pieces, too thick to ever see through, but still the music comes.
Relief floods his existence.
The dulcet golden melody washes over everything, leaving a sort of glow in its wake. Honeyed, sweetly mellow, liquid, rich, smooth, euphonious. Slowly, slowly-slowly, Beau emerges.
This feeling, he can’t capture it with words.

He’s left longing for a place that never was, a sudden realization.
Never.
Always.
Alone in the vanishing mist of harmony, Beau begins to cry.

Beau sat up, gasping for air and shaking in his own skin. The nightmares had started again, he knew that they’d come back, they always did. Tears burned at his eyes as Beau frantically pawed around his end table for his wand. Once he managed to get a grip on the enchanted item, he carefully slid off the bed, not wanting to wake anyone else up in the academy. Beau knelt down and reached under his bed, grabbing an old spellbook. The cover was dark, the words were fading, but anyone could tell it was a spellbook of black magic. Each page covered from front to back with different spells that could manipulate distort. Beau carefully opened the book, pages yellow and warping with age. He flipped to the page he had bookmarked. It was titled “Somnium”, latin for dream. The page was scattered in messy handwriting, barely readable, even for him, but he managed to find the dream manipulation spell regardlessly. Beau had used it often enough to know where it was located. It was the only way he could sleep soundly, and he accepted any risk that came with it. He stroked the page softly and retreated back to his bed. When he was comfortable, he held the wand up, twirling it in a specific motion and closed his eyes. As he began to recite the page in the foreign tongue, the tip of the wand began to glow a faint purple.

As beau continued, the purple light began to grow in intensity, it’s light filling the room with a tender peacefulness. The tears on Beau’s face slowly faded, and his motions grew sloppy as he became drowsy. The effects of the nightmares subsided, and soon Beau was abe to collapse onto his pillow, more exhausted than before. He knew the nightmares would come back to haunt him again soon, but even a little escape was enough for him.
