He longed to be free his hateful gaze often studying those around him as he remained in his prison. Day after day, night after night, and all he could do was watch others. Over this time he befriended another, a male nagaline by the name Noctis. This nagaline often visited him and told him stories, ones that Widow had always found himself eager to hear. They would give him more of an insight to the world he had been placed into, and it always painted a picture never before known to the untamed nagaline. Now every day grew much brighter to him, his gaze brightening whenever Noctis would visit as he was always eager to hear another grand story.

Nobody believed me when I told them I was going to be a great monster. They said i was too small, that I could never amount to anything because of my size. They called me a whimp, a baby, a coward. One even thought that i was deformed at birth...god I wish I was. Then I wouldn't have to exist in this way, then I'd be as dumb as everyone wants to think I am and I wouldn't be forced to listen to their pitiful insults. I'm small yes, I think the scientist who made me called it "munchkinism". They told me I was adorable and cute, the exact opposite of what the nagas said...but I think in a way...that just made me angrier. There's a reason I was put here you know, in a tank filled with blood,goop, and venom...the blood wasn't here before. I brought it here. Someone tried to give me comfort and make me happy. Someone tried to put their hands on me. Well that person doesn't exist anymore, not in this world. And they also failed to realize that my new toy arm wasn't rubber. One of the scientists drew me on a plate after lunch today, disgusting. One day, they'll all respect me. The nagas will fear me and stop insulting me. The humans will respect me and stop treating me like a baby. I'm not a baby. I'm a real monster. And I'm almost old enough to break free...and kill.

This prison. This bloody prison. I'm meant to be free-- hunting, fighting, killing. Ego twisted in his confinement. He'd been SNATCHED out of his daily life. He'd been stalking something, hadn't known what it was at the time, but now he realized it had been a trick of the humans to lure him in. The slime dripping from his jaws and paws was beginning to build up in the tank. Good lord, this was TORTURE.

Ego roared, infuriated that the prison dulled his cries. He lashed out, splattering the walls of his unit with red goo. Screeching, he tore his claws against the glass, creating an ear-splitting screech. The scientists turned, startled by the racket. Ego glared at them, roaring again and locking eyes with them. He pounded the glass, cutting into the surface and finally communicating his anger.

But all they did was stare. After a few moments of struggling, one scientist simply turned and cranked a dial. They began to ignore him again. Ego hissed, thrashing in the unit. Slowly, a thin gas started to fill the space. His head began to spin, and his movements got weaker. No... no! Ego hissed again, doing his best to fight the sleep that was washing over him. You can't do this! I'm meant to be free! LET ME OUT!

Thank you so much for helping with these! I do love how they came out- I mentioned in PMs how I loved the highlight colors, they reminded me much of the sheen of oxidized metal. I'm such a sucker for darker colors too! Top right has almost a skull-face and that's adorable!! The little white patterns in the top left... The bottom right reminds me of clouds as well!
