That was her name.
That was what followed her.

Everywhere she went, bad things seemed to happen.
People would go missing, die even. Things would get broken or lost. Fires would start and storms would hail.
Sometimes, Ru wished she could disappear.

One day she came across an all white wolf pup, two large black angelic wings sprawled from his back and a cool cyan eyed gaze met her own. H-hello..? She whispered, her voice but a breeze. Oh! Hello there! My name's Swift! Who're you...? The white wolf bounded, his tail wagging quickly back and forth. A few feathers, raven black, floated in the air as if held there by an invisible force when Swift flapped his mighty wings. M-my name? People call me Ruin... She started, though Swift butted in. Ruina! What a pretty name! Would you mind coming with me, Ruina? Swift gestured with an extended wing. Ru shrugged, Ruina was a rather nice name after all. She followed Swift off into the darkness of the forest.

For awhile they investigated, cool caves and damp jungles of fresh turrain. It was only a matter of time before they bumped into some obstacle.

A large wolf with a black pelt and crimson red eyes emerged from the brush, Swift growled at it menacingly and bore his fangs only to be whipped away by a heavy tail. Ru was enraged, she lashed out and the creature. Upon seeing her, it fled. Knowing what trouble it brought to mess with an Areyata and also what misfortune the said Areyata was said to cause to all around her.

Are you alright, Swift? Swift?! Ru cried out, trying to locate the mangled wolf.

I'm okay... Swift mumbled, clawing his way off the ground and letting out an annoyed sigh.

This is what I was going to tell you earlier, all that ever happens to anyone who gets involved with me... It's all horrible! Nothin good ever happens when I'm around! Everyone - Swift blurted in abruptly, interrupting Ru's chain of thought. But I can protect you.

What...?

I'm not half as scared of demons and bad luck than I am of loosing you...
