Why do you want to adopt?
I would like to adopt this little guy because he reminds me so much of a little gladiator with his markings- the cloud rat marking makes him look like he's wearing a little helmet- and personality tidbit, slightly aggressive.

Vincenc is quite the interesting character, having a personality that is a mixture of chivalry and aggression not commonly seen these days. This comes from his natural tendencies towards violence, but also from his strong moral compass that tries to reign in his wilder side. The result of this interesting inner battle is a rat who could be compared easily to a cross between a knight in shining armor and a rough-n-tough gladiator.

First off, Vincenc is very protective of other rats and creatures. He feels it is his duty to keep the peace among those around him. He can't stand to see young and females mistreated. Ironically, his ways of dealing with disorder are not so orderly themselves. He tends to keep the peace with a touch of violence, often not seeing any other way of solving a problem. Luckily he always has the defense of never striking out unprovoked, else he'd likely have many enemies for this.

When socializing with other rats, Vincenc is very gruff. He doesn't care for idle chatter and therefore does not take part in it. In fact, he tends to stay fairly quiet. Unless asked a direct question, he does not talk to others very often, though he often listens closely to the conversations of others. When being thanked or berated, Vincenc wears the same carefully controlled blank face. He doesn't care for flattery and tends to modestly dismiss compliments while at the same time shrugging off insults as if they too were unimportant to his image, a thing he doesn't seem to care much about.

Likes Cats- Vincenc has always liked cats. Like a human might like a lion, it isn't a certain thing why. A cat could easily kill him, and very well might if it is hungry, yet he loves the look, power, and majesticness of them all the same. If he could, Vincenc would likely wish to be reborn a cat.

What do you plan on doing with your rat?
If I win Vincenc I will likely be using him in the roleplay, making a lot of art of him, and possibly writing a story about his adventures as a would be gladiator/knight/ranger. I would hope to eventually find him love through role-play, and even more likely get him some friends that I could draw with him ^-^

If you feel you can no longer care for your Rat, will you return it here to find a new home?
Again, it would be painful, but I'd do it since it would be best for him, though I highly doubt I'd ever neglect him to that point.

Story:
Vincenc has always been a bit on the aggressive side. When he was young, he had a habit of getting into fights with his litter mates. What brought about his moral compass was actually the death of a kitten. You see, Vincenc always liked cats for some reason, the symbol of them, the idea of them, perhaps it was even for the fact that they seemed so strong, much like he wanted to become. Well, one night his mother brings home a kitten for dinner and Vincenc realizes that the world can be cruel sometimes. He imagined how he'd feel if one of his siblings was taken and eaten by a cat and grew cold inside. Even though he liked to fight with them, he didn't want them to die.

The "meal" haunted him for weeks. Whenever he saw his mother, he felt a strange anger towards her inside, and wasn't sure what to do about it. So, when he was old enough to leave, he did, because he wasn't sure how else to protect his mother from himself. He didn't want her dead, but every time he saw her look at him, he had a violent urge to attack her. As he wondered the streets on his own, he saw many cruel and unjust things that poked at his aggressive side, urging him to take action. A male rat raping a female, a puppy left alone in a box by humans, food taken from young creatures by older and stronger creatures who just wanted to be mean. Everytime he saw these things, he wanted to do something about them. Something viscous. After a time, he learned to focus his aggressive tendencies into protecting the female rats, helping the puppies out of boxes, and feeding the young.
