About this Mithrellian:
It was born blind, but was always able to see through the earth, the movment of things over the ground, and it has extremly good hearing. It has been in a fight with a lion, which is where it got its scars and also how it lost a bit of its tail. The little tatoo on its shoulder means 'Beauty'
I personally think it looks like a female, but gender is up to you, however you may not change the age.

Why you want to adopt:
I want to adopt because I love this species and their looks. I also love how unique they are, and I think it would be fun to adopt this lovely Mithrellian! I really love how this Mithrellian is blind, which makes her very unique.

Some say his name 'Chase' for the stupid act of going after the lion, others say it's because of his speed. But that speed is natural for his species. Chase us to be loud and extremely proud of himself, but now he is quieter and isn't as proud after being attacked be a lion. The lion attack was years ago but it seemed to him as if it happened just a week ago. It a happened on a hot summer night. Chase was wondering around while the lions were hunting. The attack was very sudden and caught him off guard. Part of his tail was torn off and scars were left to remind him what happened. He claims to not remember anything about it but, that's a lie.
Why you want to adopt:
I love the colors and that it is blind.

I tried the adult version, and let me say with all honesty that I'm sure you will be much happier with a PPS. The adult was going way to much in the direction of a goat. If you decided to keep pup 2 I still need a gender and name. I hope you like it enough to keep it.

"The Story of the Fox Flame Rune"

"I happened upon this Rune when I was out walking through the forests at night. The odd glow of light blue hues was alluring and mysterious as I went to find their origin. To my surprise it was a couple of Fox Flames milling about in a playful banter. They seemed quite interested in me and proceeded to hop and yip all about me to see if I would play with them. Nipping and tugging at my clothes, they seemed to want me to follow them as they led me to a giant tree with many of their kind. So many different orange and red furs scrambled about the giant tree as bright ghostly eyes gazed it me with a happy glint. What was truly intriguing was the flames atop their heads as the ghostly fires bobbed along with their ferrying Fox Rune. I had heard tales of how the Fox Flames were supposedly the farriers of lost souls but no one knew it these tales were true. One of the Fox Flames brought me a small orange and red bundle as it laid it at my feet. This little rune was clearly a baby and did not posses a flame like the others which only furthered my suspicions that they truly did carry the dead. I could tell that the mother Rune wished for me to take the hatchling as I cupped it in my hands. Needless to say I am now looking for a home for the little fellow and surprisingly enough I found the baby rune with a little blue flame over it's head that I was certain it did not have before! Either way, the Fox Flames are always full of mystery and I can not wait to find a suitable owner for the little fellow."

The Fox Flame Rune is a common Rune Dragon with many tales spun from it's origin. In a word: capricious. Aura flits from one thing to another, her attention never staying in one place for long. She is driven entirely by impulsion and whatever strikes her fancy, she does. And often, Aura is seized by the urge for mishchief. She loves to play jokes, and while she never means any harm, her jokes can sometimes go awry (If only I'd know all this before I met her! *see below).
Despite her antics, Aura still has a wonderful sense of humor, and it shines through her every action. She just seems to radiate a sense of benevolent mischief which is at the same time endearing and troubling.
Aura has an innocent pixie-sort of vibe as she floats and flits throught the forest, her flame a glowing crown that tops off her mystical and evanescent image. And there is nothing Aura likes to do more than to flit through the forest. She loves hopping from branch to branch, root to root, stone to stone. She loves poking her nose into every nook and crany and is continually amazed by even the simplest of things (I saw her stare in utter awe at ginko leaf for about an hour the other day, just because she had never seen a leaf of its shape before.)
Throughout all this, there is an amazing sense of loyalty within Aura. While she doesn't focus her attention on most things for long, the things (and people) she becomes attatched to she sticks by with until the end. She may get a little side tracked from time to time, but if you need her, she will always do anything she can to help.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
Once I got a glimpse of that alluring blue spark in her eye, I just couldn't walk away. Those adorable little ears, mystical blue flame, and intriguing rune were only the icing on top. But not only that, it was the history behind this rune that got interested. A supposed ferrier of the dead? Count me in! I just had to find out more about that, I couldn't just hear that legend and leave without finding the truth. I've always been a big fan of myth and legend, and her legend, even if not true, just struck a cord with the mythologist in me.
Where will you keep him/her:
In my room if I could! But I think she'd be happier in my siggy where she can flit from page to page and experience so many wonderful things
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
I think I would like to breed her, but only because she is so fantastic that there needs to be more like her out there.
Any Quirks:
Puzzles: she loves puzzles. But not to put together, oh no! She likes to eat the pieces. I have no idea why... Another note: don't feed her pixie stix. Sugar+ her already energetic and inquisitive disposition= vases being knocked over, a rune dragon getting caught in your hair (don't ask), and one very long night.
Also, while is she is often facinated by many things, magic tricks just seem to absolutely captivate her. She loves to watch even the simplest card tricks, her eyes wide and full of amazement.

The Meeting:
"NO NO NO!" I said repeatedly as I pounded my GPS. "Don't you die on me! Don't you tell me the battery is dead, I charged you just last night!" The screen flickered a hope-inspiring light grey for a second before switching to an earth-shattering black. "Nooo!" I cried again, this time it was a low pathetic whine that I'm not entirely proud of. I sniffed then composed my self. Alright, alright I thought, Lets just review the situation:
On a hiking trail on a mountain three hours from civilization: check.
Dead GPS: check.
No sense of direction: check.
Complicated system of intertwining trails to navigate to get back: check.
Cell phone: uncheck: I had to charge it last night, I remeber because I... had to unplug the GPS to charge it!!!
"Ugh!" I said as a slapped my forehead, "I'm an absolute idiot!" I sighed. "Alright, there's nothing I can do about it now. I'll just try and remeber which paths I took and so long as I stay on one of the paths I should come out of the forest at some point, right? Right!" I said, answering my own question.
Four hours later I was still in the woods, and it was dark. I had lost all sense of direction and in the dim twilight I could no longer tell if I was on the path. For another hour I trudged along, and at this point I was getting desperate and panicky. "Oh, God oh God!" I kept muttering to myself as I frantically searched the forest for any signs of civilization.
Suddenly, in the distance I saw a small blue light flickering. Hope, errupted in me and a breath of relief escaped my lips. I raced towards the bobbing little light dreaming of all the wonderfull things it could be: a neon sign, a LED flashlight, a butane camping stove... a little dragon!?
The furry little creature tilted its head at me, its small ears pricked foraward in keen interest. Meanwhile I blinked and opened and closed my mouth like an idiot before my brain finally caught up with me. I had heard of these! It was a Fox Flame Rune and it was supposed to guide travellers lost in the woods. My brain ignored the other part of the tale which said that they also guided the dead, and I sank to my knees before the creature in relief.
"Please, help me!" I said to it, "I'm lost and I need to get back." The little rune tilted her head in the opposite direction and the blue flame attop its head bobbed frantically to keep up with her movements. Suddenly a spark flashed in her eyes and an odd little trill errupted from it. It made an odd little gesture with its wings that seemed to say "follow me" before the being darted off.
I stumbled after the small form, surprized at the speed she was capable of. After a while she seemed to notice I was having trouble keeping up and she slowed down. Or in reality, she didn't slow down as much as she started to move in a zig-zag pattern before me. She darted from one thing to the next, in one moment she was sniffing a flower, the next inspecting an insect, the next sticking almost her entire body into a tree cavity. As the hours dragged on I couldn't help but smile at the rune's airy little antics, despite how tired I was and how anxious I was to get home.
Finally the little creature stopped and turned around. She gave a big smile and gave another trill that sounded almost exactly like "TADAAAA!" I looked around in confusion: I was still in the forest. Suddenly I recognized where I was and let out a cry of horror. "No! I'm right back where I started! This was where my GPS died!"
The little creature let out a hiccuping trill of laughter at its prank. I sank to my knees and put my head in my hands saying miserably "I'll never get home now." I don't know how long I stayed slumped in misery like that, but eventually I felt a soft little head nudgeing my arm. I raised my head and looked into the big blue doe-eyes of the rune. Aura was her name, I suddenly knew. Aura made an uncertain sort of chirping sound and nuzzled me again in apology. Slowly I lifted my hand and petted her soft head, her blue flame disapearing before it could ever harm my skin. I smiled softly down at it and said "Its alright. I'm not mad. But I do hope you know how I can actually get out of the forest." The little creature nodded its head enthusiastically and flitted a few feet away. She waited for me to get up so we could start the long trek back.
I gingerly stood up, my bones creaking in protest. I sighed but smiled. "Alright lets go." Aura started off once again, her red coat shimmering in the eerie blue light that floated above her head. I groaned as my sore muscles began to drag me after that creature of eternal energy, but despite all that had happened I couldn't think of somebody I'd rather have to beside me to travel with. The little bugger had started to grow on me.
