About Arkamiles

Arkamiles are dog-like creatures that are excellent swimmers and skillful hunters. They're very intelligent and can think fast. They can run up to 40 MPH and take down an animal up to 3 times its size. Arkamiles are about as big as a Labrador Retriever. A lot of people think they resemble a dog mixed with a lion, however, it has nothing to do with a lion. The lion is actually one of the arkamile's predators, so the arkamiles try to stay away from them. Most arkamiles are gentle and affectionate of their young, but very protective. In a pack, arkamiles don't usually share their food, so each has to hunt for themselves. Babies are about as big as a Labrador puppy and are born with very sharp teeth. Their lower canine teeth are behind the top canines, unlike dogs. Their teeth are rounded, for mainly crushing bones and such, much like a hyena. Their teeth have a yellowish tinge to them as well. When stalking (like in the picture above) they move soundlessly thanks to their thick paw pads. When swimming, the water slips right off their glossy coats, not soak in. Arkamiles are lazy most of the time, and like to bask in the sun.

His transformation was disturbed as he heard a twig snap close behind him. Half transparent, Archer turned around, just in time to see a Feline Searcher pointing a tranquilizer gun at him. The Feline Searcher's eyes widened, staring at Archer's eyes. Archer looked at the Feline Searcher's name tag- "Crescent".
Archer was just about to flee but Crescent shot the tranquilizer gun and Archer fell to the ground with a thud.

Wow, I never have thought Rune Dragons would get so modern as to be Technology! But there are, and this one chose me!
Okay, so I'd been in the city to retrieve a map of the next location we were going to explore, and I had Ashy with me. We were walking past a building when I got a slap of wings on my face, knocking me backwards onto the ground. I pulled the wretched thing off me to discover it was a Rune Dragon, he had a very intricate design on his cheeks and a very smart alec personality. He strutted around me, cawing at me as Ashy couldnt stop laughing. Then he flew onto my shoulder and waved a wing at Nadja. Oh my, I had to laugh too.

Heh, Bena, i'm not sure if im allowed to make one for myself... It wasn't intended, I assure you. :oops:

No, that's perfectly fine. I just got finished telling Ashenjay that she may make one custom for herself is she wished. Any of the artist may make at least one rune that they may call their own or wish to breed. So it is absolutely fine and I think he suits you very well! ^_^

Story (optional if you did art): There was a long silence I sat my tail twitching. And my ears listening to the sounds around me. I hopped from branch to branch of the apple tree looking for the ripest fruit. From the ground I could be easily mistaken for a cat. Well, if the person was near sighted. My bright yellow and red wings suck out like a sour thumb. I looked through the branches at the little farm house. A pretty girl came riding along and stopped under the tree. I tried to hid myself but my bright colors were to much to blend in with the green leaves. She looked up and smiled. She hadn't spotted me. I sighed, and lay down on the branch and began munching a big, juicy apple. As I ate the fruit I spit out the pits seeing how far I could get them to go. One flew down from the tree and that was a loud "Ouch! What on earth was that!?!" i realized I had it the girl. I tried to hid in a bunch of leaves but my bright tail was still visible. "What are you?" I could hear her voice clearly. I peeked out of my hiding place by pure curiosity. "There you are," she smiled and I met her eye, "Come hear," I stepped forward timidly. Seeing as she meant no harm I hopped from branch to branch until I was right over her head. "What are you?" she asked. I tillted my head side to side, trying to decide what to do. "Do you speak?" She asked. "Indeed," I said, "We can all talk," I glided down to her. "You live hear?" I flicked my tail to the house. She nodded, "Thank you for feeding me. I have been eating your fruit for a while now." She smiled and patted me on the head. "It's fine," she said sweetly.
From that moment on I visited her every day. I quite liked this human. I learned that her name was Lilly. She was the sweetest little girl. She gave me all sorts of things, on day... oh I remember it well. One day she gave me something very special.
"I have a surprise for you?" Lilly said. I smiled, "Well? What is it?" I flew around before landing on her lap. She pulled out a little box and from that a beautiful necklace. Shining gold on glowing, white silk. "I love it," She placed it around my neck and I smiled. I nuzzled her playfully and she scratched my back. From that moment on we had the unbreakable bond.
