A few skipping hooves against the cold rock beneath, and the excitement of a young fae could be heard and smelled all over the place. Ears straightened up and looking up at the sky, as lightning flashed and glimmered in a spectacular lightshow. Her eyes wide with admiration she studied the sky before Thunder`s Horizion appeared by her side and gently nudged her. His sparkling eyes met with the younger tempestine, and the two stood for a moment and watched each other, a smile and hint of joy reflecting in both of their eyes. As the light continued on, it eventually faded as the tempestine galloped on throughout the sky. Blinking out of the somewhat looking trance, Tonerre turned on the older male. From the corner of her eye, she'd spotted her friend make a sharp motion which she took as a sign.

The beautiful tempestine clacked her hooves against the ground once, and Thunder`s Horizion smiled softly. "It's magnificent, isn't it?" he said. Slowly, Tonerre nodded and looked over the dark clouds that passed on through the valley. There was a blink of a light, and a few seconds of silence, then a thunderous boom. Flailing slightly at the sudden and loud noise, she staggered backwards. Her fellow tempestine merely laughed at her though. There was an awkward pause before Thunder`s Horizion finally opened her mouth to talk with her.

"... Would you like to try?" he asked softly. It felt as if a rock had dropped right through Tonerre's stomach and she froze in the position she'd had when the loud thunder had rolled on. "Really? Would you let me?" Tonerre asked, as if not believing this could happen to her. With a hint of amusement and a short laughter, Thunder`s Horizion nodded. "Although we'll have to do it together. You're still a youngling, and I wouldn't like to have you hurt in any way. Then it would be me to blame." she/he told the younger tempestine. More excited than ever, the young filly jumped about, before the two gathered together to share their forces.

"Alright, focus all your energy on making the lightning. The thunder will come naturally, although you have to be able to create the stream of energy that you send down to earth. It will be a vital part of the making of a storm." he said gently, and Tonerre nodded with a joyous look upon her face. "Lets go then!" he said and laughed as the two stormed forwards, the sound of their hooves alone loud enough to create the illusion of a thunder cracking through the sky. Looking to her right, Tonerre noticed that Thunder`s Horizionhad already started creating the lightning and thunder, his antlers glowing and crackling with the same lightning that flashed down below the clouds. With a reassuring nod from her companion she focused her mind of making the stormy weather all tempestines could make, and to her frustration it wouldn't work at first. Then her mind fell onto the marvelous lights that the other tempestines made, and simply the thought of being able to make one of those facinated her. Suddenly a sharp whitish yellow lightning broke the sky beneath her, and she squealed with joy.

Her first lightning being made, she had no problems creating more. The sky rattled with the forces that was sent through it, the slightly sharper and more experienced lightning of Thunder`s Horizion along with her newly found ones. As the two galloped through the sky, she thought her chest would burst with the pleasure she had by doing this. This is what I love! Oh how lucky I am to be born a tempestine! she thought and trotted on through the skies, bringing the thunderous storm with her, side by side with Thunder`s Horizion. Nothing at all would ever make her forget this experience, ever.

Well, I came up with this little species while I was supposed to be revising in Maths class. I called them Zurroes (Zurro for single and Zurroes as plural).



Zurroes are smallish creatures made up of either air, fire, water, earth, light or dark particles which form into an orbish shape. Depending on the substance they are made out off, their personality matches. Air being they are speedy and fierce. Fire meaning they are hot-headed and angry. Water telling us they are easy-going and loving. Earth meaning they are intelligent and full of wisdom. Light meaning they are full of happiness and like to help others and finally dark means they are full of evil and hatred.

The critters have very small feet and eyes, but no arms. They are not needed. Even though they do have feet, they do not use them at all unless injured. They float along and can grab things and use them using their pshyic powers. If they somehow are injured, they will float to the ground and waddle along on their feet.



So, if you would like to see these as adoptables, do post here and say. I'll make an official thread then.

This is my entry for the artist test. Is it ok if we keep them? If so I'm going to call her Žiarä which is radiance in some language like Slovakian... I worked really hard on her and i actually think it's the best horse I've ever done. :3 I added some texture to the tail and mane, the hooves and the horn are the same colour and her eye is blue. The marking reference is a really cute roan tobiano. Anyway i hope you like it XD

Her kind nature always takes over. She can't stand to see others hurt, so she tries to help as often as she can. Although she isn't naturally sociable, being one of the loner Skydancers, she is sweet tempered, and tries to avoid conflicts. Arguments are not her strong point. When she's trapped, she's defensive and snarky.
If Ambrosia ever has control over someone, she will release it instantly. She hates being forced into things herself, and sympathizes with anyone in the same situation. She also does her best to stop others being controlled as well. Though this doesn't always work, as not everyone is content to be equal, she tries.
Ambrosia is always optimistic and happy, with boundless energy and a thirst for adventures. That's why for the first time she flew into a storm to see what it would be like. Her curiosity drew her into the darker clouds. And since her curiosity hasn't led her into danger so far, she sees no problem with following her nose.
Although she is a good Skydancer to be around, Ambrosia is not a loud fae. She isn't often the first to start the conversation, as she can be quite shy sometimes. Especially under pressure, when she feels pushed. It is difficult for her to speak when everyone is looking at her.
Ambrosia adores enjoying herself. She is happy-go-lucky, with a thirst for adventure. All she wants to do is be wild and free. Like the storm clouds she floats through and clashes with.
Ambrosia isn't the type to hurt another's feelings. She tries to be tactful and diplomatic, disliking arguments and fights. Even if she is hurt, she attempts to calm down whoever has attacked her. And she tries to console others when they're upset or annoyed. Sometimes it doesn't work, but at least she knows she did her best.
Food is something Ambrosia always craves. She is hungry most of the time. Even when she eats, the hunger is always present. This causes her to eat tons of food. Good thing she exercises, so she doesn't gain too much weight from all that eating!

Ambrosia had always loved the sunset. The sky was streaked with rose pink and a warm, dusty orange, and the sounds of grasshoppers filled the air. The fiery shades of the sky around her as she twisted through the air, the sun gently peeking over the horizon as it fell asleep. She always felt like the world around her was on fire, and she was caught in the middle of a fiery storm. But not a dangerous one. More like the sort of storm that shows off the natural beauty of the world, but it is far away, so it cannot harm anyone. Yes, flying through a sunset storm was Ambrosia's favourite thing to do.

The young Skydancer wove through the air, her mane rippling proudly over her neck. Ambrosia's thoughts were focused on her pelt. All of her friends had wonderful markings that twined together and decorated their bodies, making them one with the sky they flew through. She didn't yet have any markings. Just a blue-grey coat with a paler mane and tail. Although this was a pretty colour on its own, Ambrosia had always envied the other Skydancers' bright forms. At one year old, she was an ambitious, cheerful creature, always optimistic and curious about the world around her. Ambrosia always complimented others and was very selfless, hating to do things for her own benefit.
Preoccupied with her thoughts, Ambrosia realized a storm was brewing around her. Normally this didn't bother her in the least. She loved floating through the loud clouds, which clashed together like rocks. Ambrosia calmly flew further into the darker clouds. But it didn't take long for her to discover that this storm wasn't one of the mellow ones she usually frolicked in. In fact, this storm was tossing her back and forth, as if a gigantic kitten was batting her from paw to paw.
Her sense of calm began to fade slightly, and she looked around for an exit from the angry clouds. But there seemed to be no end to the broiling mass of moisture. Ambrosia's sleek fur was soon soaked and clinging to her slight frame. The only comfort to her was that the thunder clouds were still tinged with orange, which she generally saw as a soothing colour. Flashes of red were to be seen though, an oddly vibrant hue, rarely to be seen here. This new happening made Ambrosia wonder whether she was safe. Turning uncertainly, she was unable to move in time as a huge pale grey cloud enveloped her. The water in the air stole her vision and the coldness halted her breathing, chilling her lungs. She wasn't stopped for long, though. The cloud suddenly lifted away, and the Skydancer sucked in a huge lungful of air. Then she stopped, her teal eyes wide with amazement as she gazed at her coat. What had been a bluish-hued pelt was now striped with silvery brindle, which crossed over her back and rump. Ambrosia's face was almost comical with surprise. She flew in the opposite direction, her mind mostly focused on her pretty new markings.
Again, distracted, she flew into an orange cloud. This time the cloud was warm and comforting. Though it heated up more and more, until it was uncomfortably hot. Ambrosia shifted, unsettled at this weird weather. The cloud continued to warm up, making Ambrosia sweat and shudder, panicking with the overheat.
Yet again, the hot cloud rose away from the animal, after staying for a good few minutes. Ambrosia gasped in the cool air. Another gasp ripped from her throat as she beheld her body once again. Now blazing tongues of fire wound over herself, twining around the brindle and spiralling in intricate patterns. Ambrosia felt pleasantly warm wherever the delicate swirls touched her. It dawned on her that this must be her ascent into adulthood, becoming a fully-fledged Skydancer. Her beautiful markings complimented her perfectly, and Ambrosia loosed a shout of sheer delight at her newfound beauty. She now matched her friends, rivaled them even. For her dusky base colour contrasted with the bright flames perfectly.
Ambrosia felt her body filling with strength. With her eyes determined, she soared into another cloud, the mist whipping up around her. She half expected more markings to appear, but none did. But she didn't mind. The markings she had now were magnificent. Keeping up a steady pace, Ambrosia charged through the storm, until she reached the other side.
Well, that was a different storm, Ambrosia thought, a massive grin plastered onto her face.

Now Ambrosia has been riding the storms for four years. Every time there is a sunset storm, she flies out and tumbles through the air, revelling in the freedom the sky offers. She no longer feels left out, as she is as far from plain as she can get.

I also did art of her, since I couldn't resist drawing this little beauty.
