Name: Shattered (I really can't think of anything!!! :'( )

Shattered padded through the forest, the moonlight reflecting off her pitch black coat. She weaved in between the trees slowly. Silence cradled her on his journey. After what seemed like years, she finally came upon her destination. Her forbidden best friend Red sat in the clearing, bathed in moonlight.
"You came." She said warmly.
Red dipped his head. "Of course I came, you said it was a matter of great importance." He cocked his head slightly, standing up and slipping over to stand beside her. "What's wrong?" He asked in a soothing tone.
"I... I can't be with you anymore." She said slowly, wincing away from the hurt reflected in his eyes. "My father would kill me if he found out." Shattered continued, her normally happy voice, well, shattered.
Red nodded. "Yes... I know." She replied, a sigh in his voice.
Shattered pulled away from him, licking his cheek for the last time. "I... I'll miss you, Red. I'll never forget you."
"Nor I, you." Red murmured, his eyes fixed on the ground.
WIth that, Shattered whipped around and streaked off into the forest, holding in the lonely howl that would be forever cooped up in her heart.

The Cherokee indians use him for catching buffalo, deer, and any other animal the indians can find and eat. One day while hunting, the tribe and Hoijakin got separated, and Hoijakin could no longer find his tribe. He searched and searched for weeks, hunting for himself as he went along. He finally caught the scent of his tribe, months later, and followed it. He followed it right back to camp, only to find that the Cherokees had either died or moved on after a terrible plague. Hoijakin gave up all hope and set out west to find someone that would care for him and give him a home. Finally, In the Rocky Mountains, he found a girl that took him in and found a collar around his neck that adorned his name. The Cherokees had given him this collar more for decorative purposes, but it acted more as a collar in this sense. The girl took the dog, malnourished and sick, home and nursed him back to health.
