How did you find this calf?:
I wandered the shores of the beach by my summer cottage, the swell of ocean water pounding formations into the many rocks that littered the small beach. It was strange how, I mused, that, as I watched, time was passing, noted by the miniscule particles being smashed from the rock they clung to by the thundering waves. My eyes followed the rocky curve of the shoreline in the weak light, focusing on a large shape slick with water. Walking towards it, I realized it was an animal of some sort and began to panic, as I had never dealt with something like this before, but I had enough sense to realize that this creature, whatever it was, needed water. I began to feel dizzy, but, as I watched, it opened one violet eye, then the other. I was transfixed, or rather, I fell in love.

(As a side note, I hope it's not too many sentences. Two of the sentences I would have split in four parts, but I have to have six or less, so it's a little run-on. Sorry.

Oh - the reason I chose the name Hadrian was because, according to many websites, it means the 'dark man of the sea.' Sqweeeeee! I love that name <3 -end of rant-)[/quote]

it was midnight,and i decided to take a walk. as i walked along the forest, i came to a moon bathed pool. in the pool where some cute creatures, have horse, half dalfin, it seemed.i came to sevral calfes playing. all but one swam away, the one that dident swin away had a grey dappled pelt and some markings.i thought he was cute.he seemed to like me, and i dident see any other creature like it to be its mother or father, so i took it home :3

Well i was walking along the shore, the tide low when i spotted the lil guy in the distance, as i got closer i saw he was alone and high up shore. Seeming to be struggling with his still slim legs on the rocky beach. I cautiously walked over to inspect the lil creature and was amazed having stumbled across such a magnificent Seaquine calf. He was friendly and i took him in seeing that there wasn't any others around, but don't worry i waited on that beach for days and watched to see if a mother or any others returned for him, no luck but he is happy and safe with me and maybe one day to be united with his old herd and the wild if he ever wants

(its less than six lines when i typed it now but not sure it will change when i post it so here goes, hope its not to much ^-^)

Being the coward she is, she dashed behind my legs as I ventured forward to see what was going on. I peered around a sand dune and much to my delight there was this gorgeous wee SeaQuine! He looked up at me and gave a little knicker and that's when he worked his way right into my heart. I bent down and ruffled his mane as he gave me a nudge, and a snort at my silly pooch. That's how I met little Heron

She is very outgoing and has a lot of friends, although many of them think of her as a pet. She is a great BB to hang around with when you want to have childish fun.

Seri is a quiet girl, she dosen't speak much unless she has you alone one on one. Seri loves to watch and is rather curious for her nature. She prefers night time, or dusk and very early dawn as the sky starts to change to reds and oranges. Seri is rarely seen in broad daylight.

~ History ~
Sierra was born to a strong Flent, who cared deeply for Sierra. Sierra was able to walk at the age of one years old. But during the winter, her mother had fallen ill and died, leaving Sierra alone in the harsh world.

Sierra barely was able to walk, let alone care for herself. As the cold and bitter nights pass, she would starve and freeze. She made a make-shift home in a small cave, but however much it protected her from stormy, windy nights, and gave her a shelter, it was still cold, she had no mother, and she was starving. Some nights she would lay, un moving, wondering when her mom would come take her to a better place. She would dream of her, how she moved, her heartbeat, how she hunted. But she would only wake up the next day, alone, cold, and hungry.

She managed to catch insects here and there, and would drink the water pools that would be made from the crystals that hung from the roof when the water dripped down, but it wasn't enough to support her. Some days she couldn't even find 3 insects.
But one day, her luck only changed. A mother who lost her 2 fawns due to the same sickness that took her mom away found her and took her in. She cared for her the way she should have been cared for, and loved her as if she was her own. She raised her until she was an official flent and went their own ways.

Despite not being social, Sierra and her adoptive mother would see eachother at times and hunt together. Though it was rare, Sierra loved it. She sometimes wished she could go back to being a fawn, but sometimes she likes the freedom and independence that being a flent gave her.

~ Personality ~
Sierra's true mother raised her to be strong-willed and to be independent and free. To be bold and tough, not letting anything walk over her, and to speak her mind. She also taught Sierra of respect, and to respect your prey before eating by giving a small and silent thanks. She taught Sierra to be cautious and to not trust anything, or anyone, unless she grows a strong bond and knows more about them. she said if Sierra were to ever encounter a human, to make sure they know she is not to be messed with.

However, Sierra's adoptive mother taught her to be loving and caring, and to be thoughtful. To make sure everyone knew she wasn't to be messed with, but at the same time, be kind. She taught her to have manners, but not be afraid of having fun. When Sierra told her adoptvite mom about everything her true mom had taught her, her adoptive mom said that she was raised well. She also said that the bond between a human and a flent can be the best thing in the world, if they treat you right. She taught her how to go through hoard times. To have determination, patience, and perseverance.

~ Art ~ I might make some of her if I win her, and order some, but not until then ;D
~ Reason for Applying~
I was looking through all the flents for adoption, looking for the right one, when I stumbled across this one. I really liked her, the colors really sparked my interest, and the design is simply amazing. She really grabbed my attention, and I knew, I just knew, that I had to at least try to get her.
I have to say the wings are absolutely gorgeous. The wings and eyes got my attention. The eyes are just stunning, the shade just too perfect, not too bright, but just bright enough to stand out. The wings just pop out right away, and just makes her even more gorgeous.
I also found it easy to write for her, the colors and design already gave me a boost. They pretty much influenced me and gave me an idea. Especially for her history. She gave me the idea that everyone has a time of darkness, but there is always room for light in that time. That no matter how long the dark tunnel is, there is always a way out, a light at the end to guide you.

The Story of the Dragonfly Rune

After many times asking and hoping to get a spot on an expedition, finally my chance had come. Leaving on a flight bound for Asia early in the morning, I sat beside my sister Dracos, across from Benathorn and her sister Jendalie. We talked the entire flight and then well into the bone-jarring vehicle ride deep into the forests of Southeast Asia. After trekking for days, itsemmed as though everyone except for myself had found a Rune to bring home and put up for adoption. As the others moved away from the area where the Foo Rune had been loyally standing his ground, I fell in line at the back of the line. As only a guest on the expedition, I had felt out of the loop enough already. Not finding a Rune? Only made it worse. We were nearing the end of our expedition when from a nearby pond I could hear he soft whistling of a native tune. Wandering off the path and away from my group, I approached the still sparkling waters. As I hit the bank, dragonflies rose from their hiding places in the tall grasses, fluttering around me in droves as they scattered and settled elsewhere. I couln't help but smile, giving a small laugh as their wings brushed me ever so lightly. Pulling back for a moment, I listened for the music again. It had stopped, but after a few moments the gentle whistle began again, and: I followed it until a little red, gold, and blue, Rune chirped and leapt at me, the song stopping as the little female caused me to fall backwards, sitting patiently and staring at me with trusting silver blue eyes. In that moment I could feel the bond click, and I knew my Ancient Xsurkay could feel it too. From behind me I heard Bena and the others give soft claps and soft laughs. I turned and smiled softly, petting her softly as I stood. The barely visible orbs of light surrounded us both, and I stood to let her rest on my right shoulder. I paused for a moment, then addressed my friends. "I want everyone to meet Serenity." The Dragonfly Rune greeted everyone in turn, then proceeded to serenade us the entire trip home.

I can't help but be selfish, I'm sorry ;-; I've grown attached to her.
