Welcome traveller, to the Socorros adoption thread! Here, you can adopt a Socorros, breed two of your existing Socorrosi to create a little of sweet little pups, or order a custom Socorros of your favorite character or fursona.

|| Prices ||

You see, Zax and rowdy have devised a simple pattern of payments for each action here at the Socorros thread:

~ Adoption = Free!
~ Breeding = One WL pet for the artist that creates the pups.
~ Customs = Depending on the complexity, the price varies.
(Note: Custom slots are few and far between, due to Zax and rowdy's lack of time.)

|| Rules for Owners of Socorrosi ||

~ At the moment, there is a limit four Socorrosi being owned at one time.
~ There may be a Socorros roleplay soon, but we are not starting it until we know there will be members.
~ When you breed a pair of Socorrosi, they must each belong to you.
~ Please don't complain if didn't get the one you wanted, we try to make these as often as we can.

|| A Bit of History ||

The species you see above is none other than the Socorros, a hybrid breed which is a distant descendant of the Andrisarc, a hooved wolf. This breed has adapted to its environment over the years into the fast, strong, and majestic canine it is today. There are some flaws that still need to be worked out, but that will take some time. Socorrosi originated in the Himalayan Mountains in the form of Andrisarcs. These canines were fast, well balanced, and incredibly agile for their type of animal. This was most likely because of their hooves for balance and smaller body masses for less wind resistance. For a while, they lived happily in the mountains, feasting on river fish and small animals hidden in crevices. They were, however, driven out of the mountains by the colder weather that had been slowly increasing in severity. Once down into the warmer parts of Europe and Asia, they began to adapt to life in the jungle and grasslands. This required them to lose their hooves and develop sturdy, flexible paws and short tails instead of long ones. Their heads have gotten smaller, and their fur has become thinner. For some reason though, their fur is the same length. This is what makes up the Socorros of modern day. They have since then spread out to Africa, Eastern Asia, Western Europe, and Australia. This base on the Australian coast harbors these creatures for study and repopulation as their numbers have dwindled over the past decade.

|| Physical Description ||

These hybrids are very deer like. They have long, thin legs with smaller, but very balanced paws. The neck is longer, the barrel of their chest is bigger, and the tail is of a short, whip-like variety.

There are never solid colored Socorrosi. This is a genetic anomaly that is exceedingly rare. This mutation is literally a 1 in 1000 chance of having it. It is caused by a hereditary lack of enzymes which "proofread" the DNA. This is a specific insertion mutation.

There have been some reports of Socorrosi having long tails in the wild. This is a possibility, but hasn't been photographed or recorded in any way. Note that this is a trait that may or may not be real in the species.

What are Thánatoses?
Easy! Thánatoses are a type of undead canine. They have long, boney tails and large, ovular ears. They come in dark, mysterious colors with thin fur. They have huge, razor-sharp teeth and retractable claws. Thánatoses used to be any type of canine, dog or wolf, that passed. Somehow, they were reanimated. Scientists think they had some recessive, mutant gene. They eat mostly anything, really. They tend to be mostly scavengers, but their large size doesn't allow that, for whatever they find usually isn't big enough to satisfy their appetite. They are pack animals, and are rarely seen without a pack. These animals are aggressive, and aren't afraid of anything really, though that doesn't mean they don't have any predators.

Okay... How do I adopt one?
Well, unless you order a customs, you make up a story. I'll put links to them on this main thread thing, and then you must venture there. There will be a form you fill out. Most of the time, you choose the gender, but there are a few occasions were the genders are decided.

Do they breed?
Yes, I guess so. Their will be a form below that you can fill out to breed.

Can I be an artist?
It depends. You should some experience with drawing, and even if you do, there must be a sort of chaos were I can’t take any orders… If someone does adopt. ^^

Is there a roleplay?
Maybe sometime later. It depends on people likeliness to adopt.

Can I order a custom?
Absolutely! On the part with the forms, there will be one for customs. They aren't free, though. It depends on the design. If its very hard, it'll cost you something, but if its just a base color with zebra stripes, more than likely it'll be free.

I wanted to adopt, but there wasn't a form. What's wrong?
Its most likely a custom. To tell there will be a little dot to the side. Diffrent colored dots will tell you what's what.

Red dot -- Up for adoption.
Blue dot -- Contest Thánatos.
Black dot -- Custom

This is a a form of "adopt your username" or charrie name, only it is done "trading card game" style. You get your charrie carded, and then a random attack and deffense is rolled from 1-10, 10 being the best. This is all free. I will be giving out free power cards for you all to get.

Gaming~

you can play games with these. I will make a little thread for it:

You start off with 100Hp (Health points)

You then role the random dice to see what you score. The higher your D (defense) or A (attack) is on your card, the higher you can score.

Your deck of cards can contain a numberless amount of cards. I will keep a record of what is yours.

Alpha's Butterflies
This place is simple and easy to get a butterfly from, so don't fret if this post seems long to you. ;3 There are three stages to these little, growing creatures. The first stage is an egg. It takes about two weeks for the egg to grow. Then there is the catepillar. I know, there's a caccoon first, but not with these. They skip that. It takes one week for them to grow from this stage. The last stage is the butterfly, and they are fully grown when they hit this stage.

Payment
No, these aren't free. They are rather cheap though. They only cost one pet off my wishlist; the pet's year and rarity do not matter. As long as it's on my wishlist I'll take it. ^^

Lines
So...the egg lines are just okay..the catepillar lines really aren't the best. And the butterfly lines are prety good. Please note that once I get my laptop (the end of this school year) I will be downloading my beloved tablet onto it. Then I will make these lines much neater. If you want your butterfly redone after that, please let me know and I'll do it for free.

But don't just not adopt because you think the lines are ugly and they'll never change. It's just hard to draw with the mouse. -_-
