My entry for Slyveon Hearts OC contest.

Coat colour: Brown Tricolour Marked.
Hair: Short black and red dip dyed hair.
Horn: Galaxy coloured
Eyes: [TL] Red [TR] Galaxy [BL] Blue [BR] Blind (Complete hetrochromia)
Nose: Darher brown with a paler brown triangle.
Tongue: Peachy orange.
Paws: Pale pink with black spots.
Collar: Peach and gold charm.
2x Gold hilted swords with a ruby incrusted into both hilts.

My biggest advice to you is to research the anatomy and the behavior of equines. I could only assume that you were drawing an angry horse pawing the ground? When I started to get into drawing equine seriously, I would print out stock photos and draw over them with a frame and outline so that the anatomy of the horse would ingrain into my wee little brain ^^ So for an example, The barrel would be a oval, the knees would be boxes, the shoulder would be a teardrop shape, etc. Literally, break the animal down into simple shapes then piece it back together. However, at the end of the day, it all depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it~

Below, I've added many tutorials on how to draw horses.

I don't know how you drew this, you have good smooth lines but I'll add this just as a bonus

And lastly, a word of advice, If you want proper lines done, you are going to have to offer way more than what you have thus far. This is an average payment for good lines without extras, such as shading~

ah. this really helps! My hands do get shaky sometimes. What I do have trouble with is the proportions, such as the head to big, the length of legs, is their a tool that can help?

Pfft, the lines will come in time ^^ It also helps to bump up that smoothness if the shakiness seems to persist. I would recommend going up in increments until you're happy with the flow. When the smoothness is too high, it can be frustrating. Just find what you're comfortable with. I'll add you after the comp.

Here are some pictures pointing out proportions. It may look confusing at first, but once you understand it, it is extremely useful.

What are Dream Friesians?
Dream Friesians (DFs) are a "normal" strain of Friesian horse. They carry similar colors and heights to a normal Friesian. The first Dream Friesian was a strange foal born to two mustangs. The dam was a Friesian, but the father was unknown, leading the foal to be mostly Friesian but partly unknown. Because if this unknown Heritage, Dream Friesians have markings from all horse species. It was called a "Dream Friesian" because its birth had been "foreseen" in a dream the night before, by a local resident.

I love the other entry and I really like this one. I just feel like the colors on the mane could be toned down/lighter maybe more of a cream? The markings are a little simplistic? Maybe add a few more swirls? I like the design just needs a few little tweaks

All I'd say is be sure to watch your linework (second batch; try smoothing to make sure the edit lines aren't too wobbly) and for the swirls here, make sure to draw them thinly in with the brush / pen tool first before using the airbrush to finish/fill it in
And, like griff said, try to make your colors all go well together :> hope I helped!
also-- if you ever need help figuring out markings, just know the artists of each viscet (or any artist, I'm sure) are more than likely willing to help you out and explain it to you c:

I couldn't think of a good name for the species but I entered anyway ^_^ I can add you if you want to see the layers. Also, I seen the other entries and seen that most of the tails were fully feathers, so I went to a different approach to that, hope that's alright
