This guy has the softening going on but you can't see much of it due to his splashed coat. I was going to go for a more overo pattern but did his head marking first and loved it but wasn't sure what body marking would match his face so well <3

nocturnal canine-esque creatures with cat-like paws. they live in mountainous regions. have different types of horns, back manes, and tails. nice ears or listening and decent eyesight in the dark - during the night time, they are much more aggressive and their eyes glow menacingly;(maybe they can make their horns glow too?) but during the day, they are much more docile but are usually asleep.

I don't usually do aquatic because I'm not the best at it but I had this idea so... yeah.

Mirror Pond Hounds

They're a type of large canine approximately the size of a lioness that does have the ability to walk one land but feels much more comfortable in water. They are often found in lakes and ponds, and love any reflective surface on land that shimmers like water. Some say these beings are conceited or vain, but the mirrors remind them of home when they are not near water.

They eat a combination of fish, plankton, algae and seaweed, but once they are accustomed with land their diets can change based on what is available to them. Young are born in pebble-sized eggs in clutches of 5-10 that grow rapidly, hatching within two weeks of being laid in water. If eggs are laid on land they will be unable to grow.

Thought I'd post what I have so far - I hope you like how it's coming out c:

There are currently 2 tail types (short and long),3 6 horn types and necklace/jewel strings for its neck and both tails. The jewel is simple in design because it's meant to be edited based on the individual characters. I also have color and shading layers for the base and both tails, but I haven't added color and shading layers to the horns yet. There are now color and shading layers for all 6 horn types.

This species is based on the third prompt:

They are creatures that are normally big and muscular, they have a range of different horns that are sometimes used for battles but mostly they are purely decorative. Each type of horn represent the skill that they excel in; stealth, power, intellect, speed, stamina and energy. Along with the horns each and everyone of them would have a gem that they hoard, it keeps them alive and without it they die. It comes in different forms, a necklace around their neck or tail, it may be embedded into their forehead or side and sometimes it is even at the very end of their tails.


I'll add you to who can color in so you can take a look at the layers if you'd like.
I still have to add to this, but if in the meantime you have any suggestions let me know ^_^
