I mixed the watercolor tool, and pencil tool. I used pen pressure on a tablet to get the effect, and blended a bit with the airbrush.

Ah, I love the color scheme you went with and the design so much! The only thing I have to say is that the big area of red (orange?) on the back stands out so much almost to the point of stealing attention away from the rest of the design That may just be me though. I think just sticking to some smaller red details like you did on the legs would have fit in better. Other than that it looks wonderful!

Saw on the Kalon FC that you were looking for some feedback and thought I'd offer some to you? (Plus at least here it's easier to find than dig through posts). Now I'm not a great designer myself compared to some others, but I do have some helpful tips.

I think the concept you have was really cool as I like that movie quite a lot.

Now mostly from what I can see (due to pixels being not filled in/discolored) that you used the fill bucket tool which I'd say just ignore it like it never existed as it might be quick, but it leaves things looking sloppy in a sense as not everything is filled properly + it's actually leads to having white/grey pixels from the black line-art pop out a lot.

-Try the blending tool (it''ll help add to the design and make things seem whole and not pieces pushed together)
-More body/life to the hair like waves, strands, less jagged edges and do round, flowing edges for that hairstyle
-Add details (don't just stick to a solid color on solid color

Not best tips, but I hope they help a little and just keep trying you'll get better (I still think it's pretty good, I still have a hard time with hair and roses are impossible for me to draw)

The rose is definitely a great idea for a Beauty and the Beast shine! I think I have to agree a little on the solid colors - even something as simple as adding a little bit of a gradient to the base or the yellow can make a really big difference. :) Sometimes a lot more than it seems like! I'd try playing around with that - and I think you could do more with the dress-like patters on the body and tail too. Her dress is pretty elegant but it's also not just one shade of yellow - it has some areas that are darker and lighter and with a bit of a white accent with the underskirt (I think that's what that's called? The bottom/underneath anyway) that you can see when she's dancing/moving. And yeah adding a few darker lines (like a darker brown) in the hair would add a lot more depth too (notice how an artist like ♠Trollish♠ does it). It's a pretty simple thing to do but it's crazy how much it adds!

this species is stunning! I know basic horse genetics and coats, and this would be some amazing practice. I'm on nearly everyday and can make 4-5 entries every week/month, and I'll always let you know when I won't be able to make an adopt. c:

tbh i completely forgot that i made this cover but i was like hey, why not whip somethin up in my free time.

for starters, hello, i'm tenturo, or ten for short. i'm currently the owner of alkoli mustangs, and an artist for capaill uisce. i'm also finishing up entries for sarah nicole morgans, recently submitted Nile River Equid entries, and am working on some Khim entries. You may view my gallery if you so choose to see some of the other horses i've done, as seldom do i like to repeat the same horse on different lines unless it's one that i believe i'm quite skilled at.

i'm online daily (however i'll go ahead and mention that i WILL be inactive for majority of august, and possibly some of september.) so long as i have motivation, i'll be able to post a couple adopts each week. if i will be offline for more than 24-ish hours, i'll let you know (usually these instances are 3-days or one week things, unless it's something larger like the august situation).

My artist entries. I am well versed in equine genetics, I also run my own equien adoption center called BMG's they are just starting out as well.

Id like to say that i work completely off mobile, so there are some things that are quite hard for me to do, mostly spots, like leopard/near-leopard appys, dapples, and very intricate designs.

Other than that I can do most other coats.
