That sounds like a good idea but I actually did it manually lol. I did all the stripes in orange on one layer than drew the brown patches on a new layer, and lowered the opacity so I could see the stripes underneath and trace them. However, your way would work too, drawing the stripes on a new layer and setting it to "multiply" |

If much of the design on a part of the body, or the body itself, is covered by hair, tail, etc, the artist generally posts a color-in minus the covering feature, to show the complete design. i.e. color in with the hair up in a bun or something so we can see what's under it. XD |

also this didnt take me that long sorry, halfway through i saw a spider on my wall and i was like NOT IN MY HOUSE SON then when i finally caught it i looked down into the tissue i was holding it in and the spider wasnt actually in there and it was really bad edit list: standard: custom tail shine common: hair edit, backmane, longer fur uncommon: ear edit rare: halo here is my previous entry: 01 |

Perhaps if you involved the yellow a little bit more actually it would've really made this design pop, perhaps in the eyes or paws. Edits are nice and very clean! I like how they flow but I do think you could've brought the edit on the chest down farther as it seems a little bit disconnected from the rest. Can't wait to see more from you. ^^ |

Why do you want to become a Guest Artist?: I love designing for people and being able to help others ideas come to life. Its always been an amazing feeling for others to enjoy and breath life into a character that I merely provided a canvas for. I've also had a long-term debate in my head about taking designing more seriously, and trying to put myself out there more as a potential permanent artist for a species or two. I've finally decided to go for it, as no harm can be done in trying. I'd like to try to get the community involved in what goes into the designs of viscets too, utilizing the suggestion thread a lot more over my personal preferences and ideas. I've taken much needed time to relax and stop letting small things get to me, and I aspire to be more like the helpful staff already amongst us. How active are you/can you be in the community?:I'd like to reach out more to community members, as of late I honestly haven't been too active because I stopped feeling the same pull I used to. However, I've been getting more and more involved in the art community as a whole and plan on offering a lot of things specifically to members of the community regarding art lesson streams, designing streams if I make it, and prize raffles amongst relaxing hang out opportunities. This means my activity will be practically blooming- and I hope I can be of some use! How active are you on CS?: I check cs every day, whether its by mobile or my computer- even someone elses. I frequently just browse the forums and pm people whom I believe I could make friends with, and it usually leads to even more involvement throughout the site. I'm also active in other species, though majority of my devotion stays here. Have you had any experience before in these areas?: Link to my past guest artist designs, as well as a link to my last accepted guest artist application. Design 1 Design 2 Design 3 Design 4 Design 5 Jumin Hans custom Ravenshadows custom Past application (With links to more designs) I've been a guest artist two times in the past, although I've done it more as free-lance and when I was bored. I also got caught up with school work during those times and judged my contests with rather poor timing. Due to me graduating, I've now got all the time necessary to commit. Many people seemed to enjoy my designs regardless of the fact I felt sort of lack luster about them, so I can't wait to see what happens when I can really shine~ Closing notes: Thank you for the opportunity once more, I've put my best foot forward with these entries and they are nothing short of my best. Alopeke- Entry #1 for Artist Search

 Lore: The Alopeke are a fiery breed of the Novair Foxes. They once lived on the tropoical islands of their planet, near active volcanoes. They have developed the shines of their burning habitats. Now they have gathered the stardust of their volcanoes and keep it close, as it serves to warm them in even the coldest of nights. They now mostly work as seekers and explorers, mapping the more heated planets. Familiars: Mostly natives of what the humans call 'Hawaii'. This lovely has the native hummingbird, an i'iwi. Okay so to be completely honest, I wasn't sure how well the parents would work out (I randomly picked two.) But now, I'm pretty sad that I only rolled for 2 kits. The colors and fluff (god, the fluff) were so fun to work with! Shiloh x Samuel (Also, I'm aware that my previous entry was never finished...I sort of lost inspiration? I plan on going back to finish it eventually.) I'd really love any critique, as I'm hoping to improve! I though working on some nb batches (with pre-made designs and colors) would help my designing and color-blending skills, but I'm very much aware that I have a lot to learn and develop as an artist!
