It was a stormy night, All of the isnorahs were tucked in there cave curled up in there nice comfy beds. Tamaran was 25 at the time and was quite adventurous, she loved to go out at night. Her pelt shimmered in the moonlight and she would stretch forward, feeling the earth between her paws and just basking in the warmth of the moon. Her parents would always tell her "Tamaran you can't be outside at night, it is a very dangerous place for a pup like you to be roaming about in the open." Her parents were always concerned for her and worried that one day she would be mauled by a sorith. Tamaran understood where her mom and dad were coming from and she understood that they would scold her because they cared... She just couldn't help herself and what could she say she was also a glutton for punishment. The night air drew her in like the hunt and whether just to play or run around she loved it.

Snoring and silence, that was all that you could here around the camp. Tamaran peaked open one of her eyes like she does every night, She quiety got up and walked out while carefully avoiding the other Isnorahs resting peacefully. Out in the open air she looked up to take a deep breath or the fresh open air, and after she did that she would stretch like always. Tamaran then stood up as tall then got into a pouncing possition. She saw a little mouse in the open chewing on the scraps that were left over from dinner. Tamaran then snuck up carefully being careful where each paw would land so she wouldn't scare away the mouse. When she got close enough the mouse ran away, what made Tamaran wonder the most was how did the rat know she was there she didn't even make a slight noise. Her answer came as she heard a roar, a heard of Sorith were coming through, all Tamaran did was make sure her scent didn't go downwind to the sorith and then quietly slinked back to camp to tell everyone.
While shaking her mom and dad she whispered oh so quietly "mom dad the sorith are here" that got there attention and they imidiately became alert. Tamarans parents were worried but also knew there were three things they had to do
1. Get the whole pack up without the sorith knowing
2. Find Tamaran someplace where she will be safe and away from the action
3. Attack the group of sorith heading towards them.
The list wasn't long but the danger was great and everyone knew it. Tamarans parents went to each member in there cave and silently woke them up, the Isnorahs were groggy and at first kind of snippy and edgy, but once they learned what was going on they two got up to wake the others. Not long after the whole camp was awake and getting ready to take down the Sorith, some however would not go with them, this was because those few that didn't come along would take the young Isnorahs to a safer ground and stay there until it was safe. The future of the group was one of the most important things and they always had that in mind.
"Everyone lets move out" The lead Isnorah said with a roar, the other Isnorahs howled in agreement, and with that most of them headed out to take down the herd. Tamaran carefully slinked to the shadows of the cave, knowing very well that when things like this happens she and other young pups, and trainees are taken to a safer location. She didn't want that again, no she wanted to be where the action was with that in mind she dropped her body low to the ground to where he belly touched the floor, then slowly she made her way out of the cave. Before she could make it all the way out one of the hunting Isnorahs saw her "come on Tamaran this is no time to be playing" said the hunter, but I just stayed silent, waiting to make my move so I could escape and help my parents. The hunter leaped at me and I dodged by ducking down and running as he jumped. With experience on the hunter Isnorahs side he easily reverted his course when he landed, took two running strides and grabbed me by my scruff. "Unhand me" I told the hunter "I want to go let me go!" The isnorah didn't reply though he did know that once they where out of harms way this pup wasn't going to be able to be put down.
The crew of Isnorahs were where the Sorith were, The bull Sorith came out of the group and looked straight in the leaders eyes, The hatred was so obvious to see and the want to kill each other was just oozing out of there pours. "Attack" the lead Isnorah howled fiercly and with that the battle started. Tamarans mom and dad each found a lean bull sorrith to attack, They each got on both sides of the sorith, circling and waiting for an opening until the bull would make his move. The bull lunged, Tamarans father dodged but barely, he gained a gash on his side, the mother came around and leaped on the Sorith, the sorith cried in agony as Tamarans mom dug in its flesh, Before you knew it the father came around and got a hold of the soriths throat. They thought they had the bull, that was until a female sorith came along, She rambed into the father with her antlers, then she tried to stab tamarans dad with her fangs, Tamaran used his horns to dodge, Then head butted her as hard as he could. The Sorith was confused and in Disaray, but soon snapped out of it. Again they did the little dance waiting for the apponent to do their move, and again did the sorith lunge. This time Tamarans dad ducked and ramed his horns in the soriths underbelly where the skin was softer. The Sorith screamed in agony and was down for the count. Tamarans dad then went up to the female and finnished her off. After that he went to see how his mate was doing only to find that the bull sorith had killed his mate, She was still latched on to him, and the bull wasn't moving either, she had killed the male but she also didn't escape with her life. With this Tamarans dad looked around to see so much anguish and agony around him, the snow splattered red. The battle was almost over and he sighed, he had just lost his mate and felt kind of numb. A huge Sorith saw the Isnorah And charged at him, Tamarans dad didn't notice and was sadly finished off. In the end the pack one the battle, but not without loss, grief, and strife.
A Warrior showed walked up to one of the other Isnorahs guarding the young, "It is now safe" he said exhaustedly. The others looked at him and the young ones stared up at the warrior in wonder. The hunter who was holding Tamaran handed her over to one of the others to go talk with the warrior, "what happened" asked the hunter shakenly, the warrior stared down and solemnly replied "our damages are great and we lost many great warrior, we even lost some of our best." The hunter looked at Tamaran sadly, "I wonder how she will take her parents deaths" The hunter paused, to fill in the silence the warrior just said "Tell Tamaran that her folks died honorably in battle and that their will is with her." The hunter had no more replies and just walked over to grab Tamaran again. With each step the hunters paws seem to grow heavier. He grabbed young Tamaran back and thanked the Isnorah that was holding her. He quietly explained what had happened and she just hung her head and started to cry silently.
