I like his natural look and the eyes are a perfect shade of gold.
On the other hand, he seems to lack some spark. Perhaps you could add some tribal markings or add natural accessories.

EDIT: BG story:

A skinny grey wolf sat in the shadows of a dark room, it's hind foot chained to the wall. It was covered in deep scars. A smell wafted through into the room into the wolf's nose. Smoke. it tugged at the chains. The heat was rising, and vicious flames were visible from under the old wooden door. There was a loud crack, and flames burst through the door. The wolf tugged so hard on the chains, that they came off the wall, and he skidded into the flames. He felt his ragged fur catch alight. Skin peeling off, he yelped. He jumped, trying to get out of the flames. He realised that he was burnt to a crisp, his skin peeling off, one of his eyes blinded. Why aren't I dead? he wondered. He gathered up his remaining strength, and leapt out the flames, through the open window and into the river below. He felt the water cooling him, but it didn't put out the flames. He swam to the surface. A dark black wolf appeared in front of him.
"Am I dying?" he asked shakily.
"No," the wolf said in a deep, distant voice.
"Then what am I? I'm not alive, I can't be...."
"You are not alive," the black wolf said.
"Wha-- how can I not be dead, but not ali--" he broke off as he realised flames were spurting out of his mouth as he spoke, and he was surrounded by flames, coming off his body.
"You are a demon."
"A de-- what?"
A gust of wind blew from the side of him, and the dark wolf vanished into the wind. It was like it blew away. But it didn't go flying. It just sort of... Vanished.
He sighed. He was a demon. An undead... thing. He couldn't do anything. His expression turned into a frown. He snarled. He raced into the forest, flames at his feet, leaving a trail of ash wherever he trod.

Well I love the species! I hope the markings are ok since i sort of failed at them!

Personality: Silent, mysterious, keeps himself to himself, hard to gain his trust and not all trust him, fustrated and aggresive.
Short Story: It began to snow as Gelu battled through the wind. They sent him to spy last night and he had been walking through the night and into the morning. They sent him as he had the thickist coat and would blend in well with this rough terrain. He wasn't sure why he had agreed to it other then he didn't want to be killed. They told him not to return til' he had found the opposition and there was still no sign of them anywhere, not a singal sent filled his nose other then the harsh frost. After another 20 minutes he caught a scent of another Rage Claw, from the scent he got the Rage Claw wasn't too well, he could smell blood...
