Akuren's personality:
Aakin was late to grow out of that cocky stage and he is still extremely bold and courageous. Many times, he will leap into something without thinking. However, this has only made him so much better at getting out of a sticky situation. What he lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in strength and loyalty. There isnt anything he wishes to do more than fight for those he is close to. His family was never that supportive of his decision to become a warrior, so he was forced to become independent sooner than usual.

Akurens backstory/history:
Healing... The young Akuren spat in his mind. It's all I hear about these days. Aakin was nearing his 150th birthday, and he still wasnt happy with the choice his parents seemed to make for him. He didnt want to become a healer and deal with sickness and injuries all day. He wanted to prove his strength and loyaty; he wanted to be a warrior. How could he do such things when he was stuck with moaning Akuren all day?
"This grudge needs to stop, Aakin." A voice behind him made the young male turn to face his father.
He set his blue gaze on his father and said nothing. He just stared.
"Aakin. Talk to me when I talk to you."
"I. Dont. Want. To." Aakin spat and turned his head away.
"You're too stupid to realize what's good for you, Aakin!" His father snarled and Aakin froze. His short legs trembled slightly and he growled.
"You're a moron not to realize what your own son wants to do with his life."
"Aakin!" His father snapped, but his son turned and padded away, not looking back.

"Aakin?" An old male Akuren spoke quietly from his spot by the side of the river.
"Hmm?" Aakin mumbled and sat down on a rock near his grand dad. His eyes watched small fish dart back and forth and he shuffled his paws.
"Tomorrow is the day you start training. Why are you not happy like the others?"
"I dont want to become a healer. I've wanted to be a warrior since the day I first time I heard about them. But my parents refuse to even let me try." He spoke slowly, blinking every few words. His large ears twitched, "What should I do?"
"Do what you want to do. There is nothing in the rules of life that forces you to follow what your father says." Aakin's grandfather said quietly, his wise features outlined by the sun.
"But they've always made it seem like it was that way."
"Your father is a stubburn one. Believe me." He laughed, "But you need to stick up for yourself in this matter. If you arent happy with your life as you get older, things will just turn out for the worse."

Aakin rose to his paws and srambled off of the rock. he smiled, "Thanks." Before jogging towards the others. He picked out his father easily, his healer uniform standing out brightly.
"My son, I'm looking forward for tomorrow." His voice was soft, deep, and friendly. The soon-to-be trainee was almost afraid to ruin his father's dream of working alongside his son.
"I'm sorry father. It's not your decision of who I'll be when I grow older. I'm not going to be a healer." He hoped his voice didnt reveal how nervous he was.
"But it's already be decided."
"Things can change."
"I'm very disappointed in you, Aakin."
"Feel what you will, father. I'm going to be a warrior."

It was as if Aakin wasnt even there anymore. Right after he said those words, his father turned his back and started to pay attention to something else. It hurt... it made the young male's heart ache. Was this what it meant to be happy? To hurt his father in his quest to become someone who he wanted to become since before he could remember?

He shook his head and walked slowly away. He would go talk to the older warriors before it really was too late to change anything.

Extra/other:
1. They are only about a foot and a half tall
2. The long ears allows for great hearing
3. Their short muzzles are a sort of defense against the Sartek as they can see the ground better
4. It takes 4 Akuren or 2 skilled Akuren to take down a Tarso.
5. Males live longer than females by about a 100 years. Females live to be 500 and males can live to be 600.
