So I got more votes than I thought I would for the poll. At least half of you voted to be able to make a new species for Gear Monsters so here is the competition page!

Even if you aren't interested in making species just so they become official, I have set aside some pets for this occasion. I hope they prove enough to motivate some of you to tryout c:

GUIDELINES
Keep it simple, try to match my style! For reference I use the default pen with full opacity at size 5 to 3 and NO SMOOTHING!

Act like your creature is already a gear monster. Try to make it as believable as possible.

Sloaters and Miophs will be moving onto the new lines so it's best if you don't make anything too similar to them species wise or color wise.

Be original! Remember, this species will be mixed with the others so think about that also when making it!

The only judge will be me. I might ask others for opinions here and there but you're looking to impress me. No one else.

This species is strongly based on Monster Rancher or Monster Farm; so look it up and study well. Bonus points for those of you who already recognize names like Suezo, Mochi, Tiger, Hare, Golem, etc. c: (Umg worm is sexy and so are eared mews xD)

I have just decided to have a Kilid competition for fun ^^ Hey, why not? This is NOT an artist competition, so don't design your own Kilid.


What you're supposed to do:

Just draw a kilid! You can draw more than one if you want

What I'm looking for:

Preferably something unique! Be creative ^^ It will be judged more on effort and creativity than anything else.

Rules:
-Don't copy anyone's art.
-Feel free to use a different program to draw, or even do it traditionally and scan it/take a picture. But if you do that PM it to me and I will post it on the 'entries' thing
-Please don't trace.
-Don't design your own Kilid! Use the one you own and if you don't own one (yet? ) then you can either use one that hasn't been adopted or ask a different owner for permission to draw theirs.

I am looking for another artist for my Nixie adoptable. If you are not interested in being an artist, please refrain from entering.

Rules:

• Tess's rule aply (but I'm sure you already knew that).
• Adoptable Rules
• Do not claim the lineart as your own.
• Do not remove my signature (you may add your own as long as it does not cover anything).
• Do not steal someone else's design.
• Participants are making singles, not batches, for the contest. You can enter as many designs as you want.
• Entries must be of adult Nixie. (Child and egg layers have been removed.)
• Winning Nixie will be considered official and owned by the artist (unless they wish to give ownership to someone else.)
• 1st place will become an artist and 2nd and 3rd are invited to make a design to put up for adoption as guest artists.

• There are a lot of layers. You may wish to remove ones you know you will not use to cut down on clutter.
• Line edits are not only acceptable, but encouraged. Major line edits are not common in the species, but do happen and are important. It's one reason the line is "simple". However, you can create your own if you like.
• I'd prefer natural animal markings and more neutral color schemes as they are my weak point and an artist who is good at them would be greatly appreciated.
• Spend a little time and effort designing.

Firefly Keepers are peaceful,forest wolves with big bushy tails that are the care-takers of the fireflies in the forest. They make sure no harm comes to fireflies or the forest. Each Firefly Keeper has a skill they obtain that helps them protect the fireflies. May it be swiftness,intelligence,or fighting skills. These skills are not powers like super strength or anything like that.

Size

Firefly Keepers are about the size of a small wolf or a huge fox. They aren't exactly "huge" protectors but they do what they must!

Pup- 1-10 years

Teen- 11-25 years

Adult- 26-69 years

Elder- 70-100 years

Colors

None of them are bright,neon colored but they can be unnatural colored. These,of course, are the higher up, more rare Firefly Keepers.
