Rules for Contest Holders: (Updated 23rd Aug 2020)
For creating an oekaki contest :
If you don't provide something for users to edit, your contest will be moved to the regular Art Contest board. You should post your contest in that board if you don't need users to color in something specific, or want to include art made in other programs. You must also follow the other Oekaki Rules. *If you have trouble coming up with a background for your lineart competition, feel free to use either of these pre-made background packs: pack 1 & pack 2 (regular canvas) & pack 3 (larger canvas). For contests offering a prize/prizes to the winners: Most people choose to enter a contest based on what kind of prize they have a chance to win. These rules are designed to protect players from being ripped off in contests which change or don't deliver the promised prizes.

PLEASE TRY TO MAKE AT LEAST 1 OF EACH RARITY SO I CAN SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO Color Variations Albinos are not a common sight to see, these Revenents are whats known as unheard of and are supper hard to obtain. Other than that Revenants can be any color under the sun with the most common ones having the color variants to help them blend into their environment. Rarity
Unheard of-Unheard of Revenents are far beyond any rarity, they are pretty much like celestial beigns or a myth in legends. Unheard of Revenents ONLY HAVE ALBINO COLORATION with hints of stars in their fur or on their bodies. ULTRA RARE-An ultra rare Revenant has anywhere between three to four tails with little hints of fire around the tip of their tails. Rare-A rare Revenant has one or two sets of wings with a few minor edits in lines. Uncommon-Uncommon Revenants look like any other Revenant but they have a few minor line edits Common-Common Revenants have no edits to them at all. |

Hello there!
After, well, a really long time on here I've come to the conclusion that i have too much stuff. I dont really play on here much anymore, and these guys are just sittin here collecting dust. Ive decided id rather have characters then this mass of pets, so ive decided to host a competition for OC designs! I'll be looking for a few 'themes', but in case they dont speak to you there will also be a 'wild card catagory'. Each main theme will consisit of prizes from a tiered placement system, from a linked group of pets. No pets will be removed from those groups, though pets may be added. 1st places will chose their prizes first, 2nd will chose second etc. Once those placements are chosen, any wildcard winners outside the 1st,2nd,3rd placements will then get to select their prizes. I want there to be many entires as i plan to give out as much as i can in this manner, so the end date for entries will be November the 21st of 2025, a day before my birthday. Some rules and regulations to know; You can submit as many entires as you would like, id prefer if you did for them to be under one post with a cover or something akin to that. I will mainly be looking for designs and how they speak to me, and as there is no general base, i wont be judging on lineart quality though it may help get your idea across. But if that is a concern know that i will rank a design that speaks to me higher then a high quality bland design. Follow all CS rules in regards to art, and please be polite to one another. Non oekaki submissions are allowed, however they will need to be posted to this main thread to reduce any oekaki spam. If a base is used for non oekaki submissions, original creator must be credited. This is for prizes specifically, i have it set so any pet i want to fully keep is in the group labeled retirement. I sorted the rest best i could, but as wildcard prizes can pull from any group other then the comp tier groups, there is a possibility i may have missed a pet. If this happens and you select a pet o want to keep with no duplicates, I'll absolutely make it up to you and let you know. I will also honour if ive left any valuable pets outside the comp groups as wildcard prizes. I will not claim any design until winners are chosen. Any design not chosen will remain your design to do with as you like. By entering, any designs chosen will belog to me after the contest ends. I will go over the themes, and general preferences for wildcard entries then the prize system I'll be using. Mods, if i need to alter how this is being set up prize wise please let me know and i will adjust. |

i'm also a fan of silver! as an aside, don't feel like you have to 100% stick to my likes! if something is not listed on my likes or dislikes it's just something I'm neutral on, forget about, or don't know exists! the only thing I'm really a stickler about is not doing any of my dislikes! np! Editables Contest! [closed]
hello everyone! welcome to my long-planned editables contest! <3 thank you for your interest, and if anything's confusing, please feel free to let me know. I'll do my best to clarify. I'll be available for questions any time except for a few days in the middle of the month of July; I will be out for a bit for a medical visit starting the 11th. If anyone reaches out to me while I'm away, I'll get back to you asap once I'm online again. RULES / INFO 1) your entries do have to be publicly editable; drawings intended only for small groups of people / friend circles won't be accepted as valid entries. so, to that end, you will have to be okay with other CS users editing/using whatever art you provide in your entry on the oekaki program. if you would prefer that CS users do not save images made with your art and upload to other sites however, you absolutely can set this as a rule of your own! any rules you make for your editable once you've created it are yours to decide; they will not affect your chances for the contest prizes in any way whatsoever. if you are okay with users saving images they make with your editable and uploading elsewhere (such as to their character's TH page for example), please state somewhere in your description how/where users can credit you for your artwork. 2) I would highly recommend that you create/start your oekaki yourself on a new post, rather than "coloring in" this oekaki with your editable, but it's not a requirement either way. if you want, you can "color in" this oekaki by making your own version of the provided example, and then link to your oekaki from elsewhere in your description. otherwise, please post a link to your entry on this thread. 3) your entry can be any theme or object you wish to make into an editable. you can submit OC makers, prop makers, background makers, etc. Here are a few examples if you'd like some inspiration: masculine humanoid avatar base - mermaid editable - pony avatar base - ultimate anthro base - simple background maker - sword maker - multi-region meowth base - baby chocotopus editable - "User Profile" custom avatar - more examples on this thread! 4) you may make multiple entries if you wish, but you may only claim participation prizes once, and no individual will be chosen to "place" for the big prizes more than once either (i.e, if you win first place for the overall contest prizes for one entry, any subsequent entries you make won't then be eligible for 2nd or 3rd places.) 5) contest deadline for completed entries is September 3rd at 23:59 EST! I may be willing to accept extension requests if your work is still-in-progress at the time of the deadline and you are able to clearly communicate with me. I'll ask that you provide some screenshots of your ongoing work though; I won't be able to accept entries that are started after the deadline has passed. 6) here are few random ideas for possible editables I've been saving to my notes, in case any of these appeal to you as a potential starting point. you are not required to use anything from this list! <3 these are just here as suggestions to get going with if you are unsure or can't think of something specific you'd like to make on your own. - Window Box Editable (possible "zones:" window sill, flower box, flowers/plants) - Flower Crown Editable (possible "zones:" individual flowers that can be "placed" along a crown, other decorations like pearls/stars, etc) - "What's in your bag" Editable (possible "zones:" different bag options, items associated with different "types" of characters, such as wizards, explorers, etc) - Naga Character Maker (possible "zones:" different human "half" body types, different snake tail patterns, different hairstyles, etc) - "Dress Up" CS game (provide a pre-drawn CS pet of your choosing, and different clothing items for them that can be clicked-and-dragged + recolored) - Fairy Garden Editable (possible "zones:" flowerpot options, decorative items like pebbles and flowers) - Patchwork Quilt Editable (provide multiple quilt square patterns that can be recolored and clicked-and-dragged into a template to create a blanket.) 7) it's alright if it's not perfect, but please make an effort to clearly label and organize the folders inside of your editable oekaki so that when users play with them, they do not have to guess at where to find options for things they'd like to customize in the drawing. if you have questions about this, please feel free to let me know!
8) this contest is open to all skill levels! I will be weighing things like creativity, breadth of edit options, and general polish (are the folders inside labeled well, is the concept clear & fun, etc) far more heavily than raw skill. please don’t feel discouraged if you feel you are still a beginner or intermediate artist. ^^ prize information in the post below! |

PRIZE OPTIONS for contest prizes, there are three categories to choose from for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! The way this works is that whoever is chosen for first place will get first pick. Second place will be able to choose from the two remaining prize options, and third place will receive whichever option was not claimed by the other winners. the prize categories below are sorted by broad "value," i.e, the first prize category is the "most" valuable and the third is the "least" valuable. but I find letting users pick their own prizes from the available ones helps with making sure people feel like they get what they like best, rather than just whatever was associated with their "place." Prize Category 1: Avocado Pet  Pet's name: it's an avocado thaaanks 💗 Prize Category 2: 1000 C$  Pet's name: Guardian of One Thousand Chicken Dollars Prize Category 3: Choose 10 any ten pets of your choice from linked group individual links: xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx - xxx examples:    PARTICIPATION PRIZES If you enter the contest, you are automatically eligible to claim some minor prizes just for participating. You may claim any 2 pets from this group (rares and eucs), as well as any 10 pets from my "general" trade group. you don't have to claim participation prizes if you don't see anything you're interested in, but they're here if you'd like them and you can claim them at any time after posting your entry. hello hello! you don't have to be an artist or entrant to be eligible for this prize category! :] (you can still do this if you are an artist or entrant though, of course.) as an avid editable artist myself, I know how absolutely thrilling it is to get to see what fun and interesting ways others use your editables to make their own drawings/creations, and to that end I'd like to encourage use of the contest editables as much as possible! for every contest-entry editable you "color-in," you can claim any three pets from my "general" trade group. just send me a link to your color-ins whenever you send me a trade for some pets! ^^ only caveat is that you can only claim prizes for each editable tested once. (if you "color-in" five different contest editables, you can claim tester prizes 5 times. but if you color-in the same contest editable five times, you may only claim tester prizes once.) the window to claim these "tester" prizes starts whenever the first entry goes up, and will last until one week has passed from the last posted entry. if we get to September 3rd and no one has requested an extension, the deadline to claim your tester prizes will be September 10th. however, if I have pending extension requests at the time the main contest closes, I will mention so here on the contest thread and set a final date for the close of tester prize claims. |

Goennec Halloween Contest! Design a costume for Sephnis!
Traffic at the goennec thread has been very slow since the recent re-opening, and I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to have some fun with the current regulars while also attempting to gain interest from those of you who may not be familiar with my species. :]
That means anyone can enter! Goennecs have been around since early 2010, when I created Sephnis as a sort of goof, by 'breeding' my fursona with a friend's. I liked the result so much, I created the species and have been adopting out these fellows ever since. Sephnis is a bit different looking in terms of goennecs, I consider him a 'prototype' of sorts for the species, but I love him and could never bring myself to update his features to fit the species standards. For more information on the species and to see how to adopt, please visit the main thread. Adoptions always have been and always will be free! Now for the contest specifics! For this contest, I didn't want to do anything that would be based on drawing skill as I realize not everyone on CS is a super-skilled artist, but I still wanted to do something that would test your creativity. So! I've provided two 'templates' for you to pick from. What I want is for you to design a Halloween costume for my dear Sephnis so he can trick-or treat in style! If you're feeling adventurous and would like to make your own 'template', or would like to edit one of the existing ones, you're welcome to do so! I've even provided an accurate color palate for you if you need it. Backgrounds and/or scenery is encouraged, but not necessary. *If you draw him yourself, you can remove my signature. There is no limit to the number of entries you submit! Make as many as you'd like. :] As for his personality, he's a very happy and energetic little man~ He doesn't do angry or upset too well, though he's good at playing pretend and loves to do so. He loves colorful things, not necessarily things with lots of different colors, but more things that are bright and vibrant. And now the good stuff: the ~prizes~ Because this contest is open to everyone and not everyone owns a goennec, those of you who place will have a choice as to what you win. Of course, if you do own a goennec, but you find the other option more appealing, you're more than welcome to pick that! I've given up on the V2 on CS because I can't get it to look right. Below is an imgbb image of the species itself, specifically a sketch of it. I don't expect any background updates since I already like the updated ones, uhh legacy stuff gets left alone for memories. Change all the newer stuff tho. Feel free to add new backgrounds if you'd like to, I don't mind ^^  Deadline is like. May 5th I guess at the latest. Or whenever I find the lines I like most. Extended until July 18th as none of the previous people finished their entries whatsoever. |

🐎🏝️CLOSED 🏝️🐎 Please feel free to leave any feedback, questions, etc <3 (rules etc subject to change. if prizes change there will be an announcement!) - Please read through everything before entering! - Main topic - Barbs - Mustangs - Drafts - Discord Welcome to the first generation Oasis Island Ambassador Program! To kick it off, we need to pick our Ambassadors. This is a competition that will run periodically, picking new Ambassadors over generations. These horses will be the face of the breed for the upcoming seasons, being featured in forum art, logos, discord banners and icon, competition art, etc. They will be temporarily co-owned, meaning, the winners will obtain ownership of their Ambassador but we will temporarily borrow their image and story to spread awareness of the Oasis Island Horses. After their run, the Ambassador is still fully owned by the creator, image and story included. These Ambassadors will represent the various breeds of the Oasis Island populations - Barbs, Mustangs, and Drafts. They will be the long faces representing their breeds, in both backstory and looks. Oasis island may be nothing short of a paradise, but it’s wild lands do harbor some dangers that affect the equine members. Since their numbers have dwindled in recent decades, we hope these Ambassadors can bring awareness to the breeds and help them strive again! Whether its the hot-blooded barbs of the deserts, the rugged mustangs of the plains, or the beasts that roam the wood, they still go through hardships regarding human interactions, and even the more mysterious nature of the island itself. Your job is to capture one of these horses and tame them, and tell us how they came to be! Perhaps you've already tamed one and want to share it's story! Create an Oasis Island Ambassador and write a short story on the life they lived before you rescued them. What makes them a good Ambassador? Stick to the guidelines below, and have fun! There will be one winner, and at least one honorable mention per breed. (three winners total) Winners may keep 2 of their entries, including the winning one. If they do not pick the winning one, it will belong to the Community and be used as a more permanent Mascot, OR it will be adopted out/raffled off, but will still remain an Ambassador. Honorable mentions may also keep 2 of their entries. End Date: June 30th (subject to change) Rules: 1. Do not use the lineart and background for anything other than this competition. 2. Do not reuse your designs in contest reruns, nor reuse anyone else’s designs. (feel free to transfer the designs that didn’t place to a non-Oasis breed!) 3. Please create a main entry cover and submit your entries below it! 4. You may enter up to 3 times per breed. 5. Entry must have a story accompanying it, or it will be disqualified by the time the competition is closed. Feel free to create the entries and work on their stories over time! 6. Stories must be at minimum 150 words, and a maximum of 500. We will be judging on creativity. Grammar does matter! 7. Do not use AI. 8. Please do not base your entries off of real life wild horse ambassadors. Inspiration is fine of course, but we don’t want to see a hundred Spirits! 9. Your entries must follow the guidelines specified below, or they will not count. 10. Feel free to edit the lines SLIGHTLY. Barbs remain maneless, Mustangs remain with roached manes, but you may add scars, different hair textures such as curly, other mild injuries, that sort of thing. Prizes: (subject to improve!) Three total winners, one for each breed. *Since this is the first run of the competition, we are accepting feedback on prizes!* 🏝️ Each receive 2 random pets from *this* group, but requests can be made 🏝️ May pick two of their designs to turn into official Oasis horses 🏝️ 1 free custom of their choice breed, may pick up to 3 common/uncommon genes, 1 rare gene, and 1 limited gene, and 1 edit of their choice: either new hair type, simple tack/decoration set, OR a companion 🏝️ 4 free breedings to be used between any Oasis horses they own or have permission to breed. 🐎 Honorable Mentions: Entries that didn’t quite win but deserve to be mentioned! Their designs will not be used, but anyone who receives an HM may keep two of their entries and receive any 6 common/uncommon pets on their wishlist. If I cannot fulfill their pet wishlist, they may receive 2 free breedings of any Oasis horses they own or have permission to breed, as well as a pick of 1 free slot from any of my own Oasis horses. 🐎 ALL ENTRANTS: (with at least one finished colored and written entry) Will receive 3 random wishlist pets and/or items! dragongoddest and I will send trades at the end of the contest. This design has been really kicking me atm and I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to make it how I want it... I have a fair few pets I don't need or want to I thought why not; contest time! Ends on 1st July 2025 - I will post when it's officially closed! Rules:

 Main Page - Hollows - Main Archive - MYO Archive - Archive Updates Artist Search! Welcome! This will be an ongoing search for guest/regular/and nursery artists. The nursery is located in the hollows where you can read more information about designing kits. Feel free to make as many designs as you'd like to, and please let me know what type of artist you're interested in being. There isn't an activity requirement for artists, go at your own pace! Artists will be welcome to create customs for themselves. Feel free to use any of the winged bases, adjust any crowns, make your own edits, etc. Artists are also welcome to put their designs up for MYO claims if they wish. (Users will need a rune to officially claim winged and custom lined designs.) More information about MYOs can be found here. Guest Artists once brought in can make up to 6 skojare, only ceros/java/prong. They'll be welcome to make their own edits and customs crowns (horns/antlers). At least 2 adopts should be free, the others can be any sort of contest you'd like or sold for c$/cs pets. After at least 4 are made you're welcome to create yourself a custom! (welcome to your own edits/custom crown) you're free to end your guest artist term whenever you like if real life is too busy, no worries. Paint can be white or any unnatural color, any shades of pale/bright/dark works. Please keep it to two general colors max, like red and blue, but multiple tones of two colors are a-ok. The paint shouldn't cover more than about a third of the body and can be any design you'd like. Just not anything like words please! Each adopt you make will come from a specific birth colony and will need to follow the type of coat it needs. Unnatural colors are welcome as long as the design is mostly pale/dark/brown according to colony. If you draw a custom crown please don't make it too large or extremely branchy, because the more massive crowns will come from the pachy colony. ☼ Pᴀɪɴᴛ Painted Skojare have a bright marking called paint that is genetically passed down to their kits. It is commonly shades of one or two colors, and kits share a mix of their parent's placement. Their crown is either a natural color or the colors of their paint. ☼ Bɪʀᴛʜ Cᴏʟᴏɴɪᴇs Cᴇʀᴏs 2 point crown and pale coats northern colony Jᴀᴠᴀ palmate crown and dark coats western colony Pʀᴏɴɢ branched crown and warm coats (brown/red/gold/etc) eastern colony ☼ Please add this form to your entries!<3

 Please click here to see our main thread! This is a competition for simas, all prizes shall be sima related. Simas are a closed species here on chicken smoothie, this means you can not make your own without the use of a MYO. The purpose of this competition is to design a new jewel for our upcoming limited event! A sima's jewel is very important to the sima! You can see other jewel shapes over on our main page. The jewel should be within the sima's jewel guard which is on the end of its tail. Please read below for rules and guidelines, such as what type of jewel we are looking for to fit our event. ┎-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------┒ -- Competition Rules -- - Please leave the sima themself default, the purpose of this competition is to design our new jewel type for our upcoming summer event. - The jewel must be drawn within the sima's guard on the end of its tail. Have it start from the very center base of the guard. If you're unsure of what this means please look at other sima's from our main page and see where their jewel is. The jewel CAN NOT be floating. > You may make a separate reference for the jewel without the sima if you'd like but you must still have it drawn directly onto the sima so we can see what it would look like! - Each user may make up to three entries, however only one of a users entries may win a prize. > If you have multiple entries, sima staff shall only pick one of those entries to make it into the top three. - Anyone may enter, be it sima community, sima staff or people not even involved with simas! > Please keep in mind that if you aren't involved with simas, all prizes for this contest are sima related. - You must included three colors along with your jewel shape. > Generally speaking our event limited jewels have a selection of three colors tied to them, these are the colors a generation one sima with the jewel could have as its jewel color. Further info on this will be in guidelines. - Please keep the jewel shape within theme for our event! Our event theme is "Coliseum" so something like a sword shape would fit, but a butterfly would not. - Sima staff have the right to make any desired changes to the jewel if they deem fit, be it parts of the shape, selected colors, lore, name, etc. - No covers and only one entry per colour in please! - Please be sure to fill out the form at the very bottom of this post and post it along side your entry! - The prizes to this contest being sima MYO's must follow regular sima rules, if you have any questions or need any help figuring out how to go about making one feel free to either ask in the sima discord or pm a sima staff member! Yes, this also does mean please wait till your prize is added to your official sima archives prior to using it! - Only the first place winning jewel shape will be used, this jewel shape will become a official limited jewel shape for simas. - If you are confused at all or have any questions, please ask. - Your entry can be done off Oekaki but must still follow all other rules, it still must be on the default sima, the default sima must still not be changed other then the jewel, you must still fill out the form provided below. In this case, link your entry and post it here along side the form. ┗----------------------------------------------------------------------------------┚ - ┎-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------┒ -- Guidelines -- These are more so guidelines to help explain what we are looking for, guidelines are not the rules. - With our summer event theme this year being "Coliseum" some possible ideas would be swords, daggers, glaives, shields, trophies. Feel free to get creative with it however! - The jewel's base MUST be on the base of the simas guard. Keep in mind some sima's have different guard shapes but yet most of them will have the default shape so its important that the jewel will normally fit within it. A jewel can slightly go over the prongs of the guard, but avoid overlapping them majorly. The jewel CAN NOT be floating. - You can be creative and add something like bits of rock to the jewel if it fits your idea, such as like where the jewel is coming out of rocks. Here's one of our other event limited jewels the geode jewel! - Its prefer if your three colors for your jewel is silver, gold and gray but I leave it to you to decide what fits your vision. I do ask to please avoid purple, red, pink and blue for we already see a lot of this within our current limited jewels. Here is our guide to sima jewel colors! I'd ask you to not use rainbow at all since its bit of a special case. - I highly suggest looking to see what other jewels we have and avoiding anything that looks to alike to already existing jewel type. ┗----------------------------------------------------------------------------------┚ - ┎-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------┒ -- Judging process and Prizes -- The final day of this contest shall be the 31st of May! Since we're tight on time due to trying to work this around our upcoming event, there will be no extensions. We need to make sure we'll have enough time to judge prior to our event! After this contest ends, sima staff will discuss amongst themselves and narrow it down to our three favorite entries, as well as making any changes to the jewel we think is needed. Please keep in mind that we will not be selecting multiple entries from the same user if a user has multiple entries. Once sima staff have narrowed it down to our three favorites and have made the desired changes to our top three entries, the final part of the judging process will be a poll within our discord server for our community to pick their favorite out of the three! Expect the judging process to take anywhere between 2-4 weeks. This has been narrowed down to wreath, mace and axe. The final vote is currently taking place in the sima discord via discord poll to figure out the order of our winners. And the results from our poll are;; Mace jewel at 46% Wreath at 42% Axe at 12% - Putting Koegami in first place with their Mace jewel! Clementine Cloud in second place with their Wreath jewel! And Warrdog in third with their Axe jewel! I'll shall be poking the sima archivists to add in the rewards to the winners when they have a moment to do so, thank you! |

Hey everyone!! I'm working on getting these guys off the ground -- and that means I need an artist's team! I'd like to start smaller, but may expand over time. I'll likely choose 1-3 artists, but possibly more! You can view species guides here. -------- ✮ Contest Rules - Each user is allowed up to 4 entries, and I would prefer each entrant does at least two so I can see some variety - At the moment, artist responsibilities will only include adopts -- this may change in the future to include customs and breedings. - What I'm looking for most is artists who can work within the species guidelines to create unique designs, and iterate and expand the species with me! Once all artists have been chosen, I'll organize a discord group for us to discuss species rules and back end organization. -------- ✮ Each entry must include: - Height (in hands) - Gender (cow/bull) - Colour (in equine colour terms, and denoting marking type)(this is flexible) - A sample contest idea (how you would adopt the design out, if it were official) -------- ✮ Prizes All chosen users will get an artist's position, as well as the option to keep one of their entries as an artist's custom if they'd like to! |

so i had this awesome idea, what if i host a competition where you draw your very own ocs for prizes!! i thought it would be fun and almost a “reverse” competition in a sense?? i dunno! so, how does this work? basically, what you’ll do is draw your oc(s) in the best way you possibly can! you’ll make a super cool piece and try and win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place!! you will not be making me anything, only stuff for yourself! i’ll also try my best to dish out additional prizes to entries that i think are neat! rules - NO AI. EVER. immediate disqualification + block. ew. - you will be drawing your own ocs, not mine, not anyone else’s! - the coolest drawing wins a place!
