Atlas hatched in a small island in between the 'head' and 'wing' of Pyrria. His brother and sister didn't make it, leaving him the only son of an Icewing and Sandwing.His father wasn't super fond of him or his mother, their relationship being closer to Artic/Darkstalker/Foeslayer's relationship, though Atlas didn't hate his father. After a while, his father left and returned, chained and fuming. He had tried to return to his previous life, but had been captured. He wasn't accepted back into the tribe, being in a inter-tribe relationship was unacceptable to the Icewings. His mother's wings were immediately frozen, making her unable to escape or even move due to their weight, and left on the beach of their island. Atlas was captured and chained up. The two males were dragged towards the Ice kingdom, but after a while, one of the soldiers collapsed, one of the scratches given to him by Atlas irritated and seemingly infected. As a safety precaution, they knocked out their prisoners and brought them (along with the injured icewing) to the kingdom.
Eider, Atlas father, was sent to the deepest dungeon, built beneath the sea from thousands of bursts of frostbreath. Atlas however, was left in another dungeon, this one above ground. The queen was intrigued by his ability to produce venom in most of his spikes and wanted to create a sort of weapon from that. Atlas was left in a small cave, chained to the floor and barely able to move. He wasn't treated super well, the Icewings originally having to use force to take some of his venom. After a while, he just gave up, no longer fighting the scientists. After a few weeks, he discovered a ring of keys in front of him. He had no idea where it came from (cough cough, Robin cough cough), but he took them and escaped.
He just wanders around now, building up a tough shell to protect others from him.

So basically, he has a venom in his tail and wing spikes and in his talons. It's about as dangerous/lethal as a bee or scorpion sting, but can hurt. He has purple-ish blood too. Sunburn can really mess him up since he has pretty thin scales and the dark blue bits basically attract heat. He doesn't really give off any heat or cold, just a mild temperature that isn't easily felt. He probably has mild claustrophobia.
