Attempted examples/explanation of the Sol and Lun mutations affecting colors/dilutions for Sol Mustangs.

All six have the same base genes: Ee/Aa

First in each row is a more "fantastical" pattern; following two are similar to natural horse patterns (overo, tobiano). Those fantastical patterns are not the only fantastical patterns, nor are they limited to appearing under the mutations they are currently depicted in (i.e. a Lun mutation could result in a pattern like the top one, or a Sol mutation could result in a pattern like the bottom one).

Top Row: Sol Mutation

    - Genetics: Ee/S*Aa
    - Affected Gene: Agouti (Aa)
    - Base/Primary Color (>50%): Black
    - Alter/Secondary Color (<50%): Bay

Bottom Row: Lun Mutation
    - Genetics: Ee/L*Aa
    - Affected Gene: Agouti (Aa)
    - Base/Primary Color (>50%): Bay
    - Alter/Secondary Color (<50%): Black

** the >50% and <50% are rough estimates, a general rule of thumb but not a strict rule **
