darling ducks are rubber ducks with personality and i need help with designs

A ~ Yes and No... If you make more than one you get to chose one of all the adopts you make to be yours (might rise depending on how many you make) The rest will be raffled off if I approve them!

hey everybody!
i recently made a new species, fieri dogs, and i'm looking for some artists!
i guess i'll conduct this a bit like a job interview.
rules:
- maximum 3 entries per user
- that's it

if you were to sign on as an artist, the requirements are as follows:
- make at least 1 adoptable a week, but no more than 3
note: if you have a busy week or don't have wifi or something, you can be excused from this C:
- that's it

artists are also allowed to make themselves one custom x

now, what you're really all here for: the PRIZES! (i guess you could call it a sign on bonus??)
if you are to become an artist, you will receive a welcome package with 2-3 rares(at least one older rare), some items, and maybe some c$!
also, artists will receive a gift package monthly if they continue to put out good adoptables C:

dracocisnes (singular, dracocisne) are carnivorous birds related to swans. they were previously called 'opalwings', for their iridescence, but the tourists who discovered them decided on a more fitting name. they are slightly smaller than an andean condor, and lack the long neck of swans, but these are crucial parts of their meat diet. they run as if they were raptors, and their mouths are lined with razor-sharp teeth, designed for digging into flesh. they eat a variety of creatures, including rodents, small mammals, and smaller birds.

the males show off with a beautiful crest, while the females get the most cuddles with their extra fluff, made to keep their eggs warm and out of the rain of common storms.
there can be up to 4 eggs in a clutch, but 2 is the most common. cygnets stay on a berry and fish diet until they reach the age of 2, where they are officially sub-adults, and begin to go on hunts with their parents or flock.

being very social birds, they often mate for life due to unbreakable bonds with their partner. but it is fairly common to see pairs splitting after raising their children.

Serviels are a tame species and associated with humans. They have great hearing and can hear up to 4 miles away and smell up to 1 mile away and more if the wind blows. They have small paws so they are light on their feet when hunting. Serveils eat meat and at times some plants, Serveils are friendly and communicate with little chatting noises, for an example, how when a cat see’s a bird, they make a chirping sound. Thats what they sound like. The meaning of scarves that go around their neck and their tails is to show they love to be dressed up. They come in all different sizes and colors, they live in a warm climate and never venture towrds the coldness. The Serveils stay in groups and will wonder off at any time, they have a short attention span lets say.

We are accepting everyone, as long as they make idiots. We don't require high skills for the job – idiots don't have to be super complicated.

But you still must keep these in mind:

# you can make new faces, but you are permitted to use that face only once. you may make ten custom faces in your lifetime – sorry kids. and keep in mind that idiots are idiots; please don't make a smart or realistic face.

How To Apply
To apply, all you need to do is colour in 2-3 Hound to the best of your ability. Be creative! But of course, please abide by the species colours and markings, and do not make any line edits. You may enter a total of 4 times. There is no requirement of gender, but should you win, you can choose one of your entries to keep as your very own Hound. For each entry you colour, please post the form below with it.

Colouring Tips
When colouring, the please remove all of the labelled "REMOVE" layers. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SHADING LAYERS. DO NOT remove my signature.

Coat Colours and Markings
Generally Su Hounds are dark in colour, with different shades of the base colour over the top patterning the body. There are then small areas of bright, vibrant colours (note, NOT neon). The most common base colour for a Hound is either black or different shades of grey, but Hounds can have any non-neon colour as their base, eg burgundy, brown, dark teal etc. The spinal hair is generally lighter than the body colour, and has a higher percentage of the vibrant colour(s). The skull MUST be a light colour, usually similar to that of the body colour. For example, if the body is dark green, the skull will be a very very light green, almost indistinguishable from white. The skull is also not patterned; just one solid colour. You may colour the teeth, AS LONG AS it works with the design- not just for the sake of it. The claws can be any colour, but again, NOT neon.
The base colour can be a light colour, but very rarely. In this case, there will be heavy dark coloured patterning.

Below are some helpful examples. (note, the last example has facial patterning ONLY because it was a custom. This is not otherwise allowed.)

In Summary
• usually dark base coats
• heavy patterning
• no more than 3-4 colours on the body and hair
• occasionally light base coats
• flecks of vibrant colour
• one solid, light colour on the skull
• no skull patterning
• NO NEON

Welcome to the kittea artist search thread! this will be an ongoing search where i choose artists and occasionally guest artists! feel free to use a cover if you want or dont, its up to you! just please make sure you fill out the form below underneath your entry!

Welcome to the Virinix Artists comp! Please read the rules before entering, and fill out the form! The rules are simple!

- This is not a Make Your Own event. You will not be making yourself a custom
- No covers
- Post your forms on this thread.
- You may make edits to the lineart, but please also make some without edits.
- you can make six entries total
- If you are chosen as an artist you are allowed to put your entries up for adoption.
- If chosen you are allowed to make a custom Virinix with however many edits you want
- Virinix artist will recieve a monthly pay. in pets. 'paycheck' depends on how many adopts you have made in that month.
1-5= common pet. 6-9= uncommon. 10+= a rare

Tips for mouse patterns:

So, how do you make realistic patterns? Have a look at a few photos of mice and you will notice their spots are never a perfect circle and are always rough around the edges. Why? Because of the fur! Always make sure you remember which way the fur goes when drawing animals, it just makes them look a whole lot neater c:

To make patterns such as spots look realistic it's a good idea to use the smudge tool on low opacity, and gently smudge the edges of the spot/marking. Don't smudge too much or it will look a bit off c;

You can also use dodge and burn on low opacity to shade, just try not to go too overboard.
