Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

Sherpis are playful, light hearted creatures. Despite being friendly its very rare to be approached by one, preferring to hide in their environment. They have hollow bones making them quite light and able to glide or float from one tree to another. This makes rumors of them being to fly very common but very few can. They have a flat large bone in there tail to help propel and balance them while gliding. The horns on their heads may resemable ears at first glance but they are not. Their ears are similar to owls and are hidden under their fur. Horns are used in nonverbal communication. Expressing intense feelings such as sadness, excitment, or anger, by glowing. It is very difficult for a sherpi to control their horns glow. The normal form of communication is chirping, purring, chittering, although when stressed some sherpis lose the ability to make noise. Size varies incredibly for sherpies the smallest being the size of a squirrel to reports of some as long as twenty feet! The average size is around three to six feet though. They live all around the world so keep an eye out. Remember sherpis are quite shy so if you want to meet one you'll have to look around!

The many expressions of Cour from Reference Sheets
by Vazchu @ Sat Apr 20, 2024 5:33 am [Reply]

I always found it hard to make facial expressions for my dragon characters. Which is why I never continued trying to turn that old writing/drawing project into the comicbook I once intended for it to be. Partly because I don't like lineart. And it's also why I rarely ever drew them with mouths once upon a time, lol.

So here's me almost closing in on zero old canvases that I've been working on making something useful out of (four more to go). And trying to make Cour express himself - while forcing myself to actually help him do it. The uncoloured one is my favourite smilie on my phone and is not so serious at all in this particular purpose. I simply had to do it.

Don't take the colourplacement for the mane as a serious reference though, I merely improvised and I didn't bother enough to think nor to pick his actual colours. Merely something close to it.

Also I need to have a birthday party for this boy next year, he's turning 15 years old. Omg, time flies.

Valdiac Warmblood #EF007 from Adopts 2: Pets, based on this drawing by green.
by Fawntura @ Sat Apr 20, 2024 5:31 am [Reply]

The Valdiac Warmbloods were first bred in England and there are 3 main breeds that can be traced that make up these
Warmbloods. These include the Oldenburg, Trakehner and the well known Dutch Warmblood. Originally, Valdiac Warmbloods were bred to show purely in Dressage and Show Jumping due to their powerful jumping ability and precise movements. In recent decades, these Warmbloods have been introduced to a number of different disciplines and riding styles, most notably areas of Western riding. Their numbers are still quite low as they are considered a relatively new breed and the distribution of them across the world is slowly increasing. However, the majority of these Warmbloods are primarily seen in
Europe.

Custom character/design for a offsite friend. They asked me to design a character for them based on things I know about them and I was like, you got it, I'm up for the challenge.

- They are a shapeshifter with three forms. Dog > In between > Dragon
- German Shepherd/Caucasian Shepherd
- Eastern Dragon
- Dog form keeps minor dragon form aspects.
- Dragon form keeps some dog aspects.
- Likely has some water powers, I just didn't know how to draw water effects.
- Actually has four possible color palettes cause I could not make up my mind, friend ended up picking the original palette I went with.
