otherwise just enjoy a little doodle i made.
i am so unsettled right now. i want to cry because this isn't making me feel
safe at all. so basically for a few months, this one girl, let's call her el, has
been waving to me whenever she can. that was ok, she seemed pretty nice.
she started coming over and talking to me and my bsf sometimes, and that
i didn't mind either. but today i was hugging another close friend of mine
whom i've known for eight years, mind you, when el comes over to me & her.
she says "hi! can i have a hug too?" before i continue, let me tell you i was
hugging my close friend like, a BEAR HUG. and i was really uncomfortable
because i do NOT know this girl at all (she's asked for my socials as well
which i haven't given her) and she was just there. asking me for a hug.
i didn't want to hurt her feelings so i said yes and gave her a quick little
awkward hug and left with my friend but guys. now she's going to think
we're like best friends. and i don't want to hug her again. i don't know her.
i bet she probably has a crush on me, and that makes it even more
awkward because i don't like her back at all. it's just so uncomfortable and
i'm about to cry because idk what to do.

Just drowning in shallow water. I keep thinking of my old art. I was way more confident with experimenting, not so stilted as I am now. I want to go back. My, aren't I just ungrateful? Meow.

Experimenting with colouring method.

Recipe for anyone interested: Square hard edge pencil, 2-12 size, about 110 opacity + scatter (the smaller, the larger amount). The smaller the size, the darker the shade. All sizes on separate layers (biggest at the bottom to smallest at the top) set on multiply. Last layer on default for extra shading (the one that is affected by multiply). Top layer overlay to add some colouring (above: pinkish tones in red). Lineart in size 2 square hard edge pen. Add to that highlights w/ chromatic abberation (3 layers on the very top of add coloured in red, blue and green).

Background squiggles? I wasn't the one who invented this technique, so I won't keep it a secret. Yeah, just use airbrush on max size (important: round hard edge or round soft) + extra low opacity. Spray it evenly on a transparent layer, then use a bucket tool in different places on the canvas. Make sure to not coil the airbrush too tightly / overlap it - you may end up with a lot of stray pixels when trying to fill the squiggles in.

Also made modifications using the texture brushes in some places.

I have begun this challenge again! This time around I’m not using set colors, but instead using the songs as a means to capture the color vibe.

This design is available to adopt, but as I dunno the interest in these yet (as they’re all going to be human) I’ll just? Allow whoever comes up with a name and a 100+ word ramble first to have her.
