I guess it some lined background practice? Featuring the highest mountain in my fantasy map, Mount. Flouca, one of the spines of the God of Death. Don't climb it, it's cursed!

Mountain Village

Village of Sina, where the majority of people have earth magic, and use it to create and maintain houses out of stone. Buildings sprawl off the mountain cliffs, with networks of stairs to access the buildings off the main road.

Notable residents include a centaur, and a dragon.

Saeihaz (character up the front) is turning heads as you don't usually see his species this far south, and he's also a stranger. The majority of travelers who pass by are traders, and they usually stop over once in a while.

Clearing out some of my old WIPs in Oekaki, here's one of them! I went on a landscape kick many, many months ago, but this one got left in the dust a little. I lost the original reference but I had a lot of fun making up the rest of the picture. Playing around with color is a blast, and I'm so glad I actually finished it! I don't think it's my best landscape but I really enjoy the mood and the colors ;0;

I'm sort of pleased with how this turned out? More detailed backgrounds are something i haven't had much practice doing.
Part of me wants to try detailing it more, but another part of me doesn't as this is a background for adopts and so i don't want the background to stand out too much.

I hope it's good enough to put in intermediate?

This is so good!! Under-rated by the amount of votes uve got so far😣 but its new so I guess that's expected 😂

Anyway I just wanna say for a somewhat simple, not to say as a negative pajoritive but like, I mean straight forward(?)(I'm bad at words😂😩), I see a lotta skill in this.

The colors go together beautifully, complimenting each other but still keepin it chill, and nice to look at.

The rocks frame the picture keeping the focus to the middle, and while the grass is shaded your eye is drawn to the brighter sky, which is framing our main focus, the person, perfectly!

I actually love this sm😭😄👏👏 goooood jobbb!

pro tip: big oceans and waters always reflect the sky, just the waves breaks the "miror" (look at pictures)
