Inspired by the view as I was riding in the car tonight. The silhouette is Antelope Island and the lake underneath it reflects the sunset overhead. ^^^

Fireworks Over the City

I decided to do this when I was heading home from my friends last night after launching all of our fireworks. We live over a huge hill, so if you're at the top you can look out over the city and it was just so beautiful watching all the fireworks go ads we went over. I thought it was amazing that you could see the explosions from there, since we don't live very close to the city.

This isn't done yet, but I wanted to post it before I go on our church retreat so I wouldn't loose my reference:

Shawna- Thank you :3 I used it as the cover for a card for my grandfather, he missed fourth of july for a surgery on his arm.

MagicNightStar- Thanks! I appreciate the thought, though even if it did get featured I'm leaving soon for a summer camp untill the end of the month and don't knwo when I'd be able to get one, so I probably wouldn't even know it X3

I just start a white pencil line from some dark clouds, the thicker you make the line the closer it seems. Then you just make the lines kinda uneven and jagged. For the "spread out" or "more" effect with the lighting, I just put the blender on 200 and drag down once (like the strike on the left). And thanks, by the way. ^^
