uwu Some additional facts:
"Scottish Fold Disease" aka SFOCD (the defective bone development mentioned here) is called Osteochondrodysplasia, according to UFAW all fold-eared cats have SFOCD. Some straight-eared Scottish Folds also experience SFOCD, as research has shown it's actually an incomplete dominance gene so not every Fd/fd has folded ears, they're often called "Cryptic Folds".

Homozygotes have the worst of it and develop early-life (as early as 7 weeks old) progressive crippling arthritis, while Heterozygotes eventually develop the same progressive arthritis a bit later in life (the exact timeline varies by individual, the earliest known being 6 months). Some become unable to walk.

Because of the severe health effects of their inherent condition, they're banned from registration in the GCCF and FIFe, but not in American fancies CFA and TICA where breeding is still supported.

Scottish Folds were originally called Lops, like the rabbit, however lop rabbits do not have the developmental disease and the ear flopping over is caused by something else in rabbits. The first fold was a moggie barn cat, she and her kittens were bred to British Shorthairs and other domestic cats.

Scottish Straights are simply Scottish Folds without SFOCD, so their lovely temperament actually does exist in completely healthy cats from the same pedigree as high standard folds.

OCD exists in dogs too, first found in Mini Poodles it also effects Doodle crosses, Scottish Deerhounds, and Samoyeds, but the mutation is on a different part of the DNA and doesn't cause the same physical characteristics.

Small lore: silent observer, she likes to watch her target, learn and adapt if they are friend, foe, or food. She is only known or seen when she wants to be, if it's quiet, too quiet.....it's already too late. When she's near there is a quiet almost static like hum like an old static TV getting turned on, it's very quiet so one would have to be listening carefully as to avoid her.

More to be added later if I think of anything.

The guides listed are what I have been able to find in public documents and properly sourced resources on animals, and urge you to look into recent documented research for yourself!

These guides are completely free to use, may be linked to in groups or on/off CS, or used for personal use! However, I ask you to not post them elsewhere, credit or not, and just to link back to here or the pinterest posts I have made.

Remember that while Superfecundation (a litter having multiple fathers) is possible, it is not as likely to be true and near impossible to tell without genetic testing in feral populations. A litter could just as easily have two parents with just unknown but perfectly aligning recessives!

I will not be doing wild animals as they are only theoretical due to difficulty in being able to test. If you want to learn horse coats while I have no guides to help, I 100% suggest adheline's free to use guides!
Many locus, genes, and combinations may become outdated over time but will be updated when I am informed of new information as many genes within Cat and Dog genetics are very under researched and may only have theoretical listings.
