this is my new tokyo ghoul oc. i made him up last night in my head and now here he is.
i don't have a name for him, so any suggestions would be awesome! he's an ukaku ghoul. his kagune is like a clear blue jelly that has red nerve things inside. hes actually a really funny character, but can get serious really quickly.

Just a quick sketch. I was listening to "Take the Long Way Home" by Supertramp and thought of this from the first two verses. I might finish it later but I just wanted to get the idea down.

"Well, you haven't tried to kill me yet, so maybe this was a mistake? Talk to the wizard in Morthal, he will cure you. Then, come talk to me. The Guards may still have use for you." - The leader of the Dawnguard, I forget his name OML

"R U serious bro? OML you are nothing without me I hope you die or something wth" - My inner thoughts

Welp.
I wanted to draw my little Dawnguard soldier. Meet Talas the Bosmer. My main Skyrim OC.

During the quest line for the Dawnguard, they force you to cure yourself of your Vamperism, which really icked me off.

Well, in my characters eyes, he'd be embarrassed, ashamed and angry. I really couldn't portray anger here, so I went for a look that screams "whoops" for some reason.

Anyway, its not good, because I am only using my Laptop's little scroll pad thingamajig.

Eheh, ta-da~

(songs listened to are:
MgMt - Kids
The Kongos- come with me now
The Verge - Bittersweet symphony)

Chapter III

Now, where did I leave off? Ah, yes, I had just drank the Immortality potion.

"Peter," I said, "now it's time to create our paradise!"
"Agreed!" said Peter, taking hold of the third bottle and heading towards the door, holding it open for me. We went out together and stood in front of our house. Peter held the bottle up to the light for closer inspection. The blue brew inside had been illuminated and now shone with a sparkle like the nighttime sky. "Okay, then," said Peter nervously, uncorking the bottle and tipping it slightly. He faltered and set it upright before anything spilled. "On the count of three," I said encouragingly. Neither of us knew what to expect.
"One..." I began. Peter hurriedly upended the bottle and the potion puddled out on the ground, not even waiting for me to finish. He looked nervously at the ground. The potion was seeping quickly into the grass and dirt. Soon all traces of it had vanished completely from sight.
"What now?" I had started to ask, when all of a sudden, we were lifted gracefully into the air.

We seemingly disappeared, because the next second we were confronted with an endless indigo sky. Stars gleamed all around us, twinkling and winking like diamonds. I wondered how high up we were. Looking down, I could see no sign of the towers of London and the lights of the city, just a layer of cotton clouds drifting aimlessly far, far below. I was busy admiring the little details of each star I knew so well. Up here they were so close I felt I could touch them, and my view of them from this height was far superior to any telescope I had gazed through. I could see far-off galaxies if I strained my eyes, and the constellations seemed to come alive. While I focused on the small details, Peter's eyes were fixed on the bigger picture. We were hovering, suspended weightless, in front of two dazzling stars, bigger and brighter than all the rest put together. They were tinted slightly blue and shimmered with all the colours under the sun. The glow emanating from them was soft and seemed to pull us in- literally. We were uncontrollably being guided over to the star on the right, slightly bigger than its twin. As soon as we collided with the star, with a shower of sparks, a beautiful world exploded into life.

My head spun, both inside and out. We were still not in control of our motions as we glided slowly to the ground. During our descent, I got an aerial view of our new paradise. The island was large and vibrantly green, scattered with mountains and indented with beaches and coves. Surrounding it was crystalline blue water, sparkling from the blue sun overhead, hanging high in the equally blue sky. Rainbows danced all around us and birds soared high. As we drew closer we could start to see rivers and cascading waterfalls. We heard faint female cries, and I wondered who else lived here. Would they be friendly towards the new arrivals? We were at level with the clouds, but gently falling below them now as we were ushered down onto soft sand at the water's edge. Peter and I immediately ran off, as if reading each others' minds, without a word into the woods, dashing up the beach and kicking up sand as we went. This world was now ours for the taking, and we were going to explore every inch of it. We eventually settled on the name "Neverland" for our paradise. Not only was it named after me, but since we could never grow up, it seemed very appropriate for our secret little island of the second star.

∞ ∞ ∞

"Peter," I said through a mouthful of papers, coming into his room in Hangman's Tree, our hideout, one morning several years later. The boy himself was poring over a map with Tinkerbell on his shoulder.
"What is it, Never?" he said, flashing his usual bucktoothed grin, but still not looking up from the map.
"There's something important about Neverland that I only just discovered," I said, laying the papers down on the table as Peter hurried to pull the map out of the way. I had drawn up some plans and diagrams. Though a child at heart, Peter and I knew the inner workings of the island like the back of our hand (or in my case, paw), so these all made perfect sense to us while looking like gibberish to the average person.
"I was fiddling around with the spellbook and all last night," I began, "when I noticed some odd business with the immortality potion we made. Apparently, we skipped over a line of the recipe, which says to stir counter-clockwise. We just assumed it was clockwise, and so the potion gave us some... well, um... unusual side effects."
"Like what?" said Peter, growing a bit nervous. Tinkerbell gave a frightened jingle which we both knew meant, "Is it serious?"
"Well, yes, actually," I said in response to the pixie. "When we poured the potion on the ground to create Neverland, I did some research and found out that it also created a duplicate Neverland that acts as a sort of opposite. Everything's pretty gloomy and colourless there, and it's supposedly some sort of afterlife for those whose lives were tragically cut short," I finished promptly, looking from one to the other and watching as realization dawned on their faces. Peter looked incredulous at this news. He tried to laugh it off. "Oh, Nev, don't be ridiculous!" he said, giving a thoroughly unconvincing fake laugh. "There is no way something like that would go unnoticed for so long!"
"It was that way from the very beginning," I said, rereading one of my papers bearing calculations I had checked a hundred times to make sure were correct. "That's why there are two stars. The second star to the right is Neverland, and the second star to the left was the botched result of the potion, which takes you to the hellish place I've nicknamed Foreverland." I held up the diagram of the familiar group of twin stars. "Ever wondered what was at that other star? Well, now we know. But that's not the worst part," I continued grimly. "Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem, but the spirits in Foreverland want revenge because they feel they didn't get a full chance of living, and though they have every right to be mad, they're planning to take it out on US because we have the luxury of never growing up." I concluded with a desperate sigh. "Peter, you realize the dire importance of the situation, right?"
"Absolutely," he said. This was one of those rare times Peter was being serious, and I was grateful he could grasp the need for solemnity right now. "We've got to warn everyone; the lost boys, the mermaids..."
"No," I said. "We need to avoid causing a state of uproar and panic among our community, and just take care of the problem before it becomes too big for us to handle or ignore. We need to make the journey to Foreverland and put a stop to their plot before it's too late."
"We're going right now?" Peter said. "We'll need to leave someone in charge, just in case something happens!"
"I hate to say it," said Tinker Bell, "but Wendy would know what to do."
Ah, yes, I knew Wendy. I bowed my head slightly in agreeance as I remembered her and her brothers. They had arrived a few decades back, but decided to return home to the real world and her parents. I scoffed. Parents. Who needed those? She was probably all grown up now, wishing her life could be simple and carefree again, wishing she had stayed with us. We had been good friends during her short visit, though. I had given her rides on my back and comforted her during her feud with Tinkerbell, although refusing to take sides.
We then decided to call in the Lost Boys and have them collectively work as a group to stay on top of things during our absence. They knew how to take care of themselves.
"Yessir!" said Slightly the fox-boy, saluting, before a fight broke out over who was going to be first in charge. I sighed and headed back into the den, where my papers lay scattered in a messy pile. I hurried to reorganize them.
There wasn't really much we had to prepare ourselves for the likely battle that would ensue, but Peter did have a sapphire-studded cutlass he stole from Captain Hook long ago that was never returned. I smiled, remembering the adventure. Tinkerbell wielded a needle, and had plenty of pixie-dust magic on her side. As for me, well, I had tricks of my own up my sleeve, and I put on a belt carrying a scabbard, which housed a dagger, if all else failed. I wasn't sure, though, if any of these weapons would make a difference on ghostly spirits. We set off that dusk, telling no one but the lost boys we would be gone. We all could fly, so we took off like three bullets into the sunset sky. To leave Neverland, all one had to do was fly into the sky at top speed, and, poof, you would emerge into the nighttime void just as we had done before, with all of the stars laid out in front of you. That was precisely what happened. We all exchanged nervous glances as we hovered, speechless, in front of the second star to the left for a moment, the gateway to Foreverland. Peter was the first volunteer to step forward, walking on nothing but air, and dive right into the star. Tinkerbell and I looked at each other, nervous, before following the boy in green. Wherever he went, we did, too.

We were standing on a beach when we came through the star. It was identical to the one in Neverland in every way, except it was grey. The water behind us was too, but unlike its counterpart, it seemed to be frozen in time, eerily motionless and silent, like it was made of glass. No sounds of squawking birds came from overhead, and my pawsteps towards Peter were muted. My paws didn't sink into the sand, which would normally be hot from the sun and would get in between my toes. Here, it was like I was walking on a porcelain shield above the sand. I couldn't feel it, or anything at all. No coastal breezes across my face, no sense of serenity, just blankness all around us. This monochrome atmosphere didn't suit me at all. I wanted to go home, pronto. Tinkerbell seemed to share my feelings. Her wings no longer had their iridescent shine, and the trails of pixie dust that she left behind as she flew just looked like little dull grey pebbles that instantly fell to the ground.
"Come on, you guys," said Peter from in front of us, a scared undertone in his voice that I had never heard there before. "The sooner we solve this mystery, the better." His voice echoed all around us, like we were in a tunnel. The lack of background ambiance seemed to only further magnify his despondent words. He started to walk off across the beach (or rather, grey mass), leaving no footprints behind. He was quite easy to follow. His bright green attire stood out against the dull background in this dingy parallel world. He, Tinkerbell, and I were the only traces of colour. He seemed unsure of where to go, but I trotted alongside him and nuzzled the hand dangling limply at his side, trying to instill some of his normal confidence. "Since this place is identical to Neverland," I reasoned, seasoning my words with a tone more much positive than I felt, "we should know our way around. Where would the spirits be?" I asked some questions aloud to try and push his mind along, to spark a creative process.
I had taken one paper with me, one that was far more important than all the others, and had folded it up and put it into my satchel. I withdrew it now, handing it to Peter to read as we walked. Tinkerbell perched on his head and read it, too.
"The way to restore Foreverland to its proper extra... ex..."
"Extravagance," I said helpfully.
"Extravayjince," Peter continued, "simply destroy the source of the dreary atmosphere. What in the second star does that mean?" he asked, scratching his head and forgetting that Tinkerbell was there. She gave a startled jingle and Peter apologized. "Whoops, sorry, Tink..."
"That's exactly it; I just don't know," I sighed. "That's all I could gather from my calculations. "The rest made no sense. That was the only bit I could decipher."
"Maybe the spirits have the answers?" Tinkerbell suggested, pointing to a group off in the distance.
What appeared to be four human children were there, playing hopscotch and looking like they didn't know the definition of a feast. They were grey, like the rest of the world, but transparent and shimmering slightly. They gave off a kind of flickering glow, like fireflies. Some were brighter than the others, perhaps having to do with age, but all of them were relatively dim.
I didn't really want to approach them, but it was worth a shot at getting some valuable information.
"Hello," I began, coming over to them slowly so as to raise no alarm. I housed an apprehension for all humans except Peter because of my experience with the poacher as a kit, but these humans were a new level of creepy altogether. This only intensified when they all stopped their game to look at me at once with gigantic, luminous white eyes that glowed as bright as the moon on a cloudless night. There was no sign of irises or pupils, but they seemed clearly capable of functional sight as they looked me over. As their eyes roamed over me I felt squeamish, like bugs were crawling up my back. They all looked at each other, as if exchanging telepathic thoughts, before saying all at once, "Hullo," in monotonous voices. I nearly jumped backwards in fright, but kept my cool, even though this was the hardest instance of my life in which I had had to do so and my instincts kept telling me to bolt off back to Neverland and never return to this wretched place.
"Mortals," whispered one child, taking note of our abnormal colour. Then a chorus of whispers began to break out amongst the children. Mortals, mortals, mortals.
"Your kind aren't permitted here," said one sunken-eyed boy wearing nothing but a potato sack.
"But we're not alive," I said quickly, improvising on the spot, "we're dream spirits, who were banished from our old afterlife." Miraculously, this seemed to work, as the whispers ceased as soon as the words left my lips. "Could you take us to the source of the grey colour?"
"Why?" asked a girl in pigtails suspiciously.
"Because we need to learn our way around. We only just got here."
"Very well," she replied, and walked off, leaving the other children in her wake. The three of us followed, not wanting to be a part of the conversation any longer. I glanced over my shoulder to see that the children went back to their hopscotch, but their eyes still remained sharply locked on us. I quickly turned around and gulped nervously. "I don't know how long I'll be able to take this," I whispered to Peter. "Me neither," he replied. The girl led us through the forest that seemed ten times more scary than its Neverland counterpart and out into the circular open plain I knew only too well in the other world. Here it was inhabited by more ghost children, all staring blankly at us as soon as we arrived. They seemed to hear us before they saw us, which made me wonder if only the dead could hear or feel things here. For me my senses were as bland as soggy bread.
I only got a moment's glance about the place before darkness closed in around me. My head was being stuffed into a sack.
"Hey, what the-?!" I cried. I could hear Peter's muffled cries of indignation as well, and Tinkerbell's furious jingling. She was yelling up a storm, but the ghost children either couldn't understand her or just disregarded it.
"Newcomers aren't allowed to see where I'm taking you. It's forbidden until you undergo welcoming rites."
I wasn't paying attention. I tried clawing at the sack to get some fresh air, but it was secured tightly around my tender neck, which was beginning to hurt as it scraped against the bonds of burlap.
"Lemme out! I can't breathe!" Peter said, letting out a stifled gasp for air. At that moment, my blindfold was removed, as were those of the other two.
"What did you say?" the little girl said ferociously with a grating growl unlike her previous tone of voice. "WHAT was that about breathing? Now, WHY would you need to do THAT?!"
"Uh-oh," I thought, turning to run, but the girl grabbed the scruff of my neck with remarkable strength.
"Lying isn't tolerated here," she continued in her ominous tone. One by one, all of the other children in the valley put down their various distractions and turned on us. Advancing closer with teeth bared, looking more like wolves than children, they came in waves. Peter pulled out his sword, Tinkerbell held tightly to her needle, and I huddled close to them, wishing I were anywhere else in the universe right now.
I don't remember very much of the battle, but to this day Peter still sports a scar on his upper arm from where some deranged kid either scratched or bit him. It appeared that the spirits could do damage to us, but our blades and fists swung right through thin air whenever we attempted to retaliate. It appeared hopeless, until Peter remembered the bit about destroying the source of the grey atmosphere.
He saw it, and without question, knew it was the answer we needed: A beautiful blue crystal butterfly, the only bit of colour besides ourselves we had seen in this world, sitting atop a ten-metre-high rock pillar. Peter flew upwards to it and without warning, without thinking, he plunged his sword deep into the crystal, probably just eager to destroy something. Watching this progress from below as Tink and I hovered just out of reach of the spirits, I looked on in suspense and was met with delight when Peter had discovered the solution to the riddle. The grey receded from the surroundings like water being sucked through a drain plug, restoring a rainbow of colour to the land. The spirits below us disappeared into thin air and peace was returned. Sound flooded back and now I could hear crashing waves. Peter let out his traditional victorious mimic rooster crow as he spiraled down to meet us on the grassy earth and pulled us into a great big hug. We remained that way the rest of the night, too happy for any words. Besides, we all knew what was on our minds without even having to express it: We did it!

∞ ∞ ∞

We turned the second star to the left, Foreverland, into a safe haven for orphans looking for a better life, and they couldn't be happier. Eventually, we realized that the twin stars couldn't be the only realms in the universe. Sure enough, we explored some and it turns out each is home to a little world similar to Neverland. We've made so many new friends. The best part is, we'll never run out of stars! We still visit between the worlds frequently, but our true home will always be Neverland, residence of the ones who are forever young at heart.

Would you care to join us?
